Sync'ing to a Specific Outlook Profile

I maintain two Outlook Profiles; one for my personal email and the other for my business.  I keep all Calendar items in the business profile.  I recently had to wipe my BBY and did a selective restore. Everything sync's now but the Calendar items go to the personal Outlook profile instead of the business profile.  How can I get the Calendar items directed to the business profile?

  • Sync-ing groups with 9500 & Outlook

Hi, I use groups often. But sync-ing with Outlook seems to delete them, even if the group is present in Outlook too. Any sugestions?

This is something that Nokia needs to fix ASAP!!!
A few of us use Microsoft Outlook to organize our Contacts. Once you get more than a few numbers organizing them into categories: business, family, etc. makes makes it much easier to find the number you want.
It is great that Nokia can sync. with Outlook but not being able to sync with all of Outlooks groups makes the feature almost worthless.
If Nokia wants to sell a business smartphone then it MUST sync with business software, completely.

  • Sync with more than one Outlook Profile

I am trying to snyc my outlook contacts and emails with a 3G phone and itunes only sees one of my two Outlook Profiles. How do I get iTunes to see the second profile?

Thanks for the help gang. NOT. I found out how to do it. iTunes looks for the Default Profile and uses that one. If no default is pickedd, as in my case it goes to the one named Outlook. That was the simple part. Getting iTunes to notice the change took 5 minutes of waiting for the program to fully load and notice the change.

  • Syncing deletes some contacts in outlook and creates duplicates on iPhone

I've got an odd problem here and I'm not sure how long it's been going on ...
    I have an iPhone 5s running iOS7.0.6
I have a Windows Vista PC running Outlook 2007
    Itunes is V11.1.3.8
I do NOT use iCloud or a Microsoft Exchange server
It is just a local sync. from my PC to my iPhone....
(I was TRYING to keep it simple  )
I have been sync-ing my iPhone to Outlook for some months mostly successfully,
but have recently noticed an odd problem ... a few of my contact records are disappearing from Outlook and being DUPLICATED on the iPhone.
That is to say:  These contact records that have been deleted from Outlook appear TWICE on my iPhone ...
I'm not sure how many records are affected but it appears to be a small number.
I searched but could not find anyone with similar problem .... any suggestions appreciated!

    Hello jimbob5941,
It sounds like you are seeing some unexpected issues when locally syncing Outlook contacts with your phone. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve the issue, named:
Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2776
Here are the first couple of steps to get you started, but there are additional steps if you need them in the article:
Make sure your software is up to date
It is recommended that you use the latest version of your software:
Use Windows Update to keep your computer up to date.
Use Apple Software Update to keep your Apple software used during syncing up to date.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software.
Which option are you using to store your data in Microsoft Outlook?
By default, your Outlook data is stored in Personal Folders format (PST) unless you are using an Exchange Server to access your data. If you are using Outlook with an Exchange Server, your data may be stored in an OST file if you have Cached Exchange Mode turned on. An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch syncing via iTunes will sync with the default PST or OST file. When using an OST file, only information stored locally, or cached on your computer, will be available to sync.
Note: You may be able to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch directly with your Exchange server. For more information on syncing directly with an Exchange server, contact your Exchange Administrator. There are resources for Exchange Administrators, including the iPhone Enterprise Deployment guide onwww.apple.com/support/iphone/enterprise.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Contacts and Calendar not sync'ing with Outlook 2010

All was fine today until (maybe coincidental - maybe not) I had a Microsoft Exchange email account added to my Outlook 2010.  I have an iPhone 4, and I usually sync daily, especially when calendar or contact changes take place.  I am currently not using the icloud, so all contacts and calendar events would be way too outdated.
I have checked my Outlook settings under "info" and cannot get my contacts and address to load.  I even see the "Contacts syncing"..."calendar sync'ing" when the overall iTunes sync takes place with my iPhone.
    Help!!

Yes, it is. Do you have Desktop Manager v6?

  • 2 iPhone Household w/ Outlook Profile Sync Issues with iTunes beyond 7.3.1

I’m huge Apple supporter and have to say this is the most frustrating computer issue I have ever come across. My wife and I both have iPhones and we sync them to the same pc except different Outlook profiles. iTunes 7.3.1 works fine when we sync our iPhones on each of out Outlook profiles, anything beyond 7.3.1 will automatically sync my contacts and calendar directly to her phone. It’s as if iTunes cannot distinguish between the two outlook profiles on the newer iTunes versions. I have tried both Outlook 2003 and 2007 with newer iTunes, and it's still not able to distinguish the two profiles.
    Any would be greatly appreciated.

i have a similar problem, having one good and one bad outlook profile. Used to sync just fine against the good one (which is called 'new profile). new version is defaulting against the bad one, which has none of my contacts...
where does one setup which named profile is to be used?
    thank you! any help appreciated!

  • Blackberry Destop Version 6 Outlook Profile sync

I have a BB Curve 8530, and I just downloaded the new destop version 6, and it installed just find.  I tried to configure settings with my address book, memo, and etc..  However, when it got to the drop down for the outlook profiles, there were none posted.  I have Microsoft Office 07, and windows vista, and my email does go to my blackberry and my outlook does receive emails via a pop3 roadrunner account.  So I have a profile, I receive emails on both my phone and outlook, however, it will not recognize the fact that i have an account.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times.  I'm considering reverting back to the old version 4 software.  However, i like the options given here to sync and back up so much more!  Really could use some help here.

    Hey maj54,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
The way you had the synchronization setup, it seems like it was setup to synchronize the on-board memory and media as well.
Hook up the BlackBerry to your computer and enable mass storage mode.
Then click on backup and right below custom:
Files saved on my built in media storage should be check marked

  • Wrong Outlook profile syncing

I have two Outlook profiles (mine and my wife's) on my computer. How can I make my iPhone sync with the correct one? Right now it will only pull my wife's contacts, when I want it to only sync mine. Any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • New Outlook profile causes iPod contacts to disappear during first sync

I'm hoping someone can help me here please? I have approx 150 contacts missing from my iPod.
The problems began with a corrupt windows profile in Windows Vista. Got the system back up and running with a new profile and copied the iTunes data directory to the same location on the new profile.
I also had to create a new Microsoft Outlook profile, of course there are no contacts in the new Outlook profile but at least they still exist on my iPod.
After some consultation with the local Apple store they said that the contacts should syncronise back to Outlook.
    Wrong ... the opposite happened.
After plugging the iPod into the PC, iTunes started and the iPod started to backup and then sync. It uploaded a movie that was downloaded directly to the iPod and all seemed fine. Checked Contacts on my iPod and all have deleted. It appears the Ipod saw no entries in Outlook and it decided it had to appear the same ... I had no warning of deletion or changes before hand!!!!
Right, I have the backup before the problem sync. Now, posts about backups seem to say that it restores to as before the problem. When I run the restore utility it wants to wipe my iPod, download the latest OS and then I can pick the retore ...... I am now very wary as I've already had one screw up and really need to know if it will work as expected before continuing. Can anyone advise please?
Also, if the restore works and I have my contacts on the iPod how do I get them to Outlook rather than they delete.
    Sorry for the long post.
    Cheers

40 min international Call to america:
the iPod is unable to work with smart playlists.
Only solution: 'converting' it into a static playlist by removing the "update automatically" tick at the smart playlist's options.

  • Sync two outlook profiles on E71 using MfE?

So, I have two Outlook profiles running on two separate servers; I want to be able to sync both with my E71 using MfE but so far no joy.  I've managed to set one up but, unless I'm missing something, it looks the E71 can't deal with two different Outlook profiles (trying to set up the second overwrites the first)? Can anyone help me?

You are correct. One will overwrite the other. Why use two in the first place?

  • Desktop Software sync'ing non-default calendar entries to Outlook

I just upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9810.  I have two email accounts set up on it - my personal one and my work one (BIS) - just as I did on the Curve.  My personal one is the default in the Default Services.  I sync my BB to Outlook on my personal PC using the Desktop Software.  On the Curve when I did the sync, it only updated calendar entries associated to my personal email account (the default) to Outlook.  Everything I can find online indicates that that is the way it is supposed to work, and that is the way I want it to work.  I don't want my work appointments on the BB to be added to my personal Outlook calendar.  On this new Torch, though, it is sync'ing the appointments associated to my non-default work email to Outlook.  I tried changing the default service to my work email to see what would happen, but it still tried to sync the same set of (work) calendar entries.  I also tried clearing the calendar completely and resync'ing, but that didn't fix the problem.  Does anyone know why it is sync'ing the non-default calendar entries to Outlook and how to get it to stop?  Thanks!

Hello agiledogs and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you are having difficulties synchronizing your Calendar on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone.
Just to be sure, if you go to Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services, your personal email account is listed as the default? (as this default is what is used to do the synchronize).
In the appointments that are not synchronizing over, does it say what service was used when creating it?
Does your Microsoft® Outlook® Calendar have the correct entries and you want to add them to your phone or does your phone have the correct Calendar entries and you want these to your Outlook®?
Let me know what the entries say.
