Sync interrupted

Desktop manager successfully begins Intellisync process. It processes the handheld calendar, then reads from the Outlook calendar. After it has "read" all the records in the Outlook calendar, it stops working and delivers an error report: "Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried turning off my desktop computer and turning it back on, and this does not solve the problem.

Also, check to make certain you haven't added any events in your Outlook calendar that have attachments.  I discovered the hard way that attachments and the BB calendar do not play well together, and until I located the offending attachment and removed it, it crashed Desktop Manager every time.
Good luck!

  • Syncing interrupted resulting in less Other space

i was syncing a movie of 900-ish mb. i accidentally disconnected my ipod. i connected it back again and when i did i saw that Other went from 330 mb to 1.2 gb. thats obviously the movie that was interrupted but its not in the movies section and i can't find that file anywhere. is there anyway i can get rid of that unnecessary space taker? thank you so much.

It would appear that the iPod hard drive or iPod software has become corrupt. This doesn't mean that the songs are not on your iPod, hence the fact that the iPod reports used space and iTunes may show them. I've never seen a plausible explanation for why it does this, although the accidental disconnection probably was the cause in this instance.
You should restore the iPod and then reload the content again from iTunes.

  • Sync interrupted - will verify eventually complete?

I added a new playlist to my iPhone but the sync was interrupted before it completed (but after it was backed up thankfully) and now selecting 'Playlists' from the iPod menu on the phone will cause it to hang. If I plug the phone back into the computer I get a 'Verifying iPhone' message but even after a couple of hours, nothing seems to have happened and iTunes is using 100% of my CPU. However, iTunes does still appear to be running so I think it is doing something.
The question is - do I leave it running in the hope that the verification process will eventually complete (and hopefully fix the error - does it usually take this long - I have an iPhone 3G 16GB)? Or do I reset the phone and restore the latest backup? A full restore makes me very nervous.
Note also that right-clicking on the phone in iTunes doesn't offer me a 'Restore from backup' option (it is greyed out) - is this because iTunes is still trying to sync? Are playlists even part of the backup?
    Any advice is welcome.

You have to follow these instructions to not lose aning information. Also before you tranfer iTunes purchases tot he computer delete any of the same apps from your iTunes library since many apps have been update and the updated apps are no longer compatible with the 1G. When they say restore from backup your iPod will also be updated.

  • IPhone photo sync interrupted to iPhoto now won't sync pics!

I was on vacation and syncing my photos from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro while I lay in bed. At some point my MacBook went to sleep (I believe) and the photo syncing from iPhone to iPhoto was interrupted. Now both devices believe the photos were synced but they weren't and now the pictures and videos are taking up much needed room on my phone. What do I do to get these to sync???

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Sync Interrupted - now iPad wont Sync

I was in the middle of syncing my iPad2 when I accidentally moved my harddrive that holds my iTunes library. Now it will not sync to iTunes. I have tried resetting the iPad and shutting down my PC. Nothing has worked.
    Please help!!
    Thanks Grace

Hi Gracie, You might try a "hard reset" which is holding down both the home key and the on/off button at the same time for about 10 seconds then wait for the apple to leave and then turn your iPad back on..here is what i found for you in the iPad user guide...
    Disconnecting iPad from Your Computer
Unless iPad is syncing with your computer, you can disconnect it at any time. When iPad is syncing with your computer, the iPad Home screen shows "Sync in progress." If you disconnect iPad before it finishes syncing, some data might not transfer. When iPad finishes syncing, iTunes shows "iPad sync is complete."
    Cancel a sync:
    Drag the slider on iPad.
    Hope this helps....Annie

  • Sync problem ipad restart

Ever since I upgraded to iPad IOS 7 and Mavericks, my iPad cannot sync properly with my itunes on my Mac.  My iPad keeps restarting in the middle of the sync, interrupting it.  Help!

    Hi PICARD12,
You may need to try backing up and restoring your iPad to see if that resolves the issue:

  • Can't sync bluetooth mobile phone with wireless keyboard or mouse

    Hi,
I can't sync my mobile phone (K750) when I am working with my wireless keyboard and my wireless mighty mouse.
When I start the sync progress I loose contact to my mouse & keyboard....the sync progress starts with the mobile phone, but after transferring some data it also looses contact to the phone, so the sync interrupts. After some seconds I get back in contact to my mouse & keyboard.
When I turn off my wireless mouse & keyboard and I am using a wired keyboard & mouse instead everything is working fine!
    Any ideas????
    Many greetings,

  • Why is my album artwork suddenly missing?

I appologize that this has been asked before but I am so confused as to why there don't seem to be any answers on here that reliably solve the problem. Is iphone technology really that complicated and mysterious? I feel like it's about to become self aware or something.
Anyway, my album art on my iphone 4s seems to have suddenly gone missing. But not in a predictable way. It seemed like it started when I had to unplug my phone during a recent sync. I have been reimporting my albums and I was syncing the latest batch to the phone and underestimated how much time it would take. Or possibly it was hung up on one of the steps. Honestly I'm not totally sure. But I noticed the albums I had just recently modified still had art but a lot of the rest was gone. To clarify, however, at that time some of the album art was totally missing and some was only missing in the album view. When I clicked on the albums or played them the art would be there.
I discovered that deleting the albums one (or several) at a time and resyncing seemed to bring them back but then my usb cable got bumped and the sync interrupted and it started all over. So I finally just manually deleted all the music and resynced. Which took about 22 hours. But not all of the art was back that time.
I have since tried hard resetting, converting the id3 tags to that higher number that is suggested and resyncing, restoring to an earlier date before this started happening. To no avail.
I have over 7000 songs all with meticulously picked out album art. Some is from itunes and the stuff that was wrong or didn't have any I got from the web. I realize it's a not so important problem but it's really not just about OCD. It's easier for me to pick out what I want to listen to when I see the artwork.
Frankly, I wish the recently added and the purchased playist would arrange by album so I could look at the covers. But that's a separate issue.
Anyway, currently I have maybe 10% of my art showing and what's not there is completely gone rather than just the thumbnail missing. Some of it is from albums I downloaded and some I found on google. And it seems everytime I do something new, different art is missing.
It's just so bizarre and random.
I would really like to figure out why this is happening. Is there no high upper big cheese who might know? I'm pretty certain the apple store would be of no help to me, as they have yet to solve a single technical problem I've come in with in the past.
I've briefly considered itunes match due to the fact that my collection is now even larger in volume since I reimported the whole CD collection (I had a lot of corrupted, skipping songs) which were mostly in 128 from the original import long ago, and it no longer would all fit on the phone. I have been converting to the 192 bit rate to sync but I believe that is why it takes so long. When I synced some selected playlists without converting it took about 12 times less time than it would have if I had converted.
Anyway I'm just a little put off by the thought of paying to listen to my own music (AGAIN - I already bought the phone for that privelege and the songs themselves) which I might not have access to at all times (subject to cell/wireless service), possibly having to download those songs to the phone before listening (???), and that my album art, from what I've read, would likely still not be correct. If anyone has any better information I'm interested to hear it.
Or some ideas of how to maintain access to all my well organized music despite the size. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that one day apple santa will bring us a 128gb phone which will solve one of my problems at least. For now I'd just like the art back the way it was a couple weeks ago.

Try unchecking "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.
Then check "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when youd iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod again.
This should resync the album artwork to the iPod.
If this does not work, you might need to restore the iPod and reload the songs in order to correct this error.

    I don't that it's happening.
    Please, someone explain me.

If you think somebody is going to debug your code, you are mistaken. So try to explain it yourself. If you don't know how to use a debugger, add debugging System.out.println statements everywhere to narrow down which code is actually executed and which is not. If something is locking up, you'll be able to find it. And the next time you post code:
    a) only post relevant code. Nobody needs to see that native stuff
    b) put it between \ tags so it is actually readable.
Do your best to make it possible to be helped.

  • Loose Dock Connector

I'm not sure where else to post this. I think I saw a post about this but I can't find it again...
I bought my iPhone a few weeks ago but I've been having a hard time with the dock connector. I think it wiggles too much as I have issues syncing with iTunes (device has been lost/not found, sync interrupted, etc), along with charging and using the component out cable.
I will plug in my iPhone at night and listen to a podcast then randomly, the screen with light up and the connected/charging noise will be made. The screen will fade and go on it's way. Some mornings I wake up to a nearly dead iPhone that is still plugged in. With the Component AV Cable, I have to lay the iPhone flat on a surface and hold up or prop up the cable a few inches back for it to send signal out.
My question I suppose: have others had this issue and when Apple ultimately replaces my phone, how long will it take to get it back?
    Thanks so much!

It is a problem with the connector on the iPhone or the cable?
Either way, the average turn around runs about 3-5 business days. If you have an Apple store close by, set up an appointment online and have them look at the phone to determine if they need to repair the phone or the cable.

  • Problem with Deinterlacer 4.0 and 1080i HD video.

    Hello everybody,
The core works with a 720 x 576 PAL SD input, however it stops to work with every input video sync interruption. (Still AR# 59461 on core v4.0?) ( core version 4.0 on Vivado 2015.1 on Linux) Even passing to bypass mode don't release the core from this state. and it will need a software or hardware reset + reinitialize all registers to continue to work. However in professional video world a signal interruption is not something usual, but it is important to be supported. Fortunately I have found a software workaround for it.
My main problem is with a 1080i50 or 1080i60 format video signal. Although the core worked with SD format in all modes including motion adaptive mode, with 1080i HD formats it doesn't work as expected. Only in bypass mode it pass input video to output as expected. By passing to deinterlace mode, Regardless of selected algorithm mode, it stops receiving video for 3 or 4 seconds and suddenly starts to output some garbage image at it's output. All calculation of registers are verified and seems no problem. Any one could help?
    Thank you.

    Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Any way to restore music and photos if iPod when all erased due to interrupted sync?

is there any way to restore music and photos on iPod when all erased due to interrupted sync?

You said the music and photos were all erased from the iPod? And now you say your computer and all backups are gone. There is therefore no way to recover your files short of paying thousands of dollars to a professional data recovery laboratory and even then there's no guarantee you'll get all of it – or even some of it – back.

  • Sync is interrupted

    Hello all,
I recently had a hard drive crash on my XP computer. I had my library backed up, so after I re-installed iTunes I just moved the library over from the saved disk to the new hard drive. It worked fine for a few days, and then I started getting this message:
"Itunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone because you don't have write access to the folder iPhotos."
I actually don't want to sync photos at all, that option is not selected in my itunes. I just want to sync music and podcasts!
Because of this problem, each time I try to sync it gets interrupted and I can't move any new data to the iPhone.
Any help you can offer will be deeply appreciated!

I noticed when the sync started that I got a message saying that itunes could not find the iphotos folder. Perhaps this is related?
    Quite possibly.
Connect the iPhone to iTunes and go into the photos settings pane. Is it currently set up to sync to an iPhoto folder (even though you're not actually trying to sync photos)?
