Sync iPad album to mac

I have bought the camera kit for my iPad, and am enjoying editing and creating new albums on iPad - perfect. But why won't the albums on my iPad sync back as new albums to iPhoto on my MacBook? Am I missing something, or am iI being nudged to depend on iCloud alone for my backups?

Sorry - posted thin in the wrong section. I moved my question to moving iPad.

  • Sync iPad 2 and Mac Office 2011

Hi, how can i sync my iPad 2 with Mac office 2011( contacts and calendar) in iMac? I can't find the voice in iTunes.

Is this not what you need to do?
    1. Without connecting your iPad to your computer -
    A) Install iTunes / make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed.
    B) Go to the Store tab and click on "Authorise This Computer".
    C) Go to Edit, click on Preferences and click on Devices. Put a check mark in the box next to "Prevent  iPods/iPhones/iPads from syncing automatically". Click OK and close iTunes.
    2.  Connect your iPad to your computer -
    A) Start iTunes (if it does not do so automatically).
    B) Right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select "Transfer purchases".
    C) When the transfer has completed, right click on your iPad again and select "Backup".
    D) When the backup has completed, left click on your iPad, click on the Apps tab, and put a check mark in the box next to "Sync Apps", and then click on "Apply" (bottom right).
    E) Unless you want to always do a manual sync (as I do), go back to Edit, Preferences and uncheck the box next to "Prevent your iPod.....".
    F) Finally, on your iPad, check that everything is syncing properly. If not, go back to iTunes and check all settings.
NB You should not lose any apps. However, any 'purchased' missing apps can be downloaded again FOC. As with updates, this must be done with the Apple ID under which they were originally 'purchased'.

  • Sync iPad with another Mac

    Hi there,
I am on vacation far from original Mac that my iPad normally syncs to. I connected ti to Mac Mini I have here and iTunes does not see iPad at all! I would like to sync (load) some pictures sitting in Mac Mini to iPad. I would disable all other sync data, like music and contacts anyway. I looked under Settings and there under General Wi-Fi sync says that my Mac is away and Sync Now button is greyed out.. I don't really need WiFi sync, cable is fine, have it with me.
What is wrong here, why I can't do this things?
    Regards,
    Zack

Thanks for quick answer. So I can't reset this and then sync it back when I get back home to my regular Mac?

  • How do I sync ipad to new mac (from PC)?

I am moving from a PC to a Mac, How do I sync to itunes when ipad is already linked to another PC?

Thanks for reply. Here's the rub; my ipad was originally synced to one PC which I no longer have access to. I have been just doing backups to a second PC. I have been able to get all of my music moved to macbook but I am afraid that when I try and sync the app's that I will lose them all and I really do not want to have to download and configure them all again! Any way to "trick" the ipad into thinking this is first sync?

  • Sync iPad mini to Mac book without iCloud

I am trying to sync my new iPad mini to my Mac l. iTunes claims they are being synced over the air via iCloud, but 10.6.8 won't allow for iCloud I can't seem to see how to do it manually. Any advice appreciated.

  • Sync ipad notes to mac

I have snow leopard on the computer and an ipad.  i want to sync the notes from the ipad to the computer through icloud.  Does anyone know how to do this?

It's been a while, but I think you might be able to sync notes in Snow Leopard using the Mail app.  It's wonky though from what I remember of it.
Gotta say, using Mountain Lion, Notes from the Mac sync effortlessly to the iPad through iCloud.  You might consider upgrading your Mac's OS to Mountain Lion so that you can use this feature.  It works really well and is a breeze to set up.

  • Sync iPad with new mac in without old mac

Have moved to another city than my home, left iMac at home (old without intel so no cloud) -- bought new iMac and want to sync my ipad now to the new mac NOT the old.  It wants to erase my ipad --- don't want to lose my aps.  How do I stop the sync with old mac and switch to new -- won't be back in old house til mid-Feb so want to sync now with new.  As iMacs are different version and in different cities I couldn't just write my files from one to another so transferred via external drive my music and photos.  Now want to ensure I can sync my iPad.  Advice on how I do this without losing all my aps?  Thx.

Read this discussion and see my posts (Demo) and King Penguin's posts. If you follow the instructions that we discussed you should be fine. There are ways to get all of iPad content into iTunes on the new Mac discussed in this thread.

Whatever does not apply - just ignore. The only change in terminology for a Mac running iTunes is iTunes>Preferences>Devices - not Edit>Preferences>Devices like on a PC.

  • Syncing ipad and iphone to new macbook pro

I have a pre-intel tower mac that the iphone and ipad are currently synced to.
I want to sync them both now to my new macbook pro. I am unsure about syncing in general as I haven't done it myself yet.
I'm a little worried about loosing data, and wondering what happens to the old tower they are currently synced with.. can I not longer sync them to it once they are synced to the MAcbook pro?
    any tips will be helpful.

Connect to the MacBook. It will ask you if you want to sync with the MacBook. It should then ask if you want to save what is on the iPad. Tell it yes, and it should do so. You should have your iPad apps backed up anyway, but I am pretty sure that you do not lose anything by transferring to another machine. The iPad does not care if it was a Mac or PC that it is synced with, it is not in either format. You do need to go and authorize your Macbook on your iTunes account.
Besides there is a step by step instruction on [How to transfer or sync iPad contents to Mac|http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/Howto_transfer_or_sync_iPad_contents_toMac].
Hope it can do you a favor.

  • HT1535 can i sync an album created on my ipad back to my mac

I sync my iPad with my Mac. All the photos on my mac are therefore also on my iPad. From these photos I have not created an album on my iPad. Can I access this album on my mac?

The albums that you create on the iPad in the preinstalled Photos app are locally stored photos in the app itself. You cannot import those folders back onto the Mac. Those folders only contain pointers to the actual photos that are included in the albums and not copies of the photos themselves.

  • Synced photo album in ipad cannot be deleted

Few days ago, I synced a photo ablum into ipad.
When I want to delete the synced photo album today, I didn't find any albums in itunes.
However, I found I hv deleted the ipod photo cache folder that ican't delete the photo album.
So, is there any other ways to delete?
    Thx very much.

Backing up with iCloud would not backup synced photos anyway. iCloud only works photos that you take with the iPad.
There are third party WiFi apps that will allow you to transfer the photos back to the Mac. You download the app to both devices and then you can send photos and videos to and from each device.
I use this one. There are others available in the App Store.

  • Copy iPad photo albums to Mac

Is there any way to sync the photo albums I create on my iPad to my mac. Photo only seems to sync the photos but not my own albums. Any idea?
My dad has taken a heap of photos and put them in albums yet I can't copy those albums to the Mac so I can burn them on a DVD for him to give to a friend.
pain in the neck to copy the photos across and build new albums especially when it is already all there
    thank

    Good morning
The programming is set-up with the logic that the albums on your iPad were transferred in from iTunes, so their isn't a way to move them to your computer through iTunes.
There are a number of 3rd party apps that do this, I have never used them myself but here is one that Google gave me for your problem

  • I accidentally sync both IPhones and IPad to my Mac, so all of my pictures keep saying on all of devices.  Is there a way to take them off all of my devices?

I sync all my devices, both IPhone and IPad not realizing all of my photo's would keep saving everywhere.  I have resolved that issue, I just needed to find out if, there is a way to delete all of the photo's off both IPhones and IPad, but not from my Mac.  Is this possible?

    Hello, bethannfromct.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
To remove synced photo albums from the device you will need to remove the sync preference in iTunes, see the steps in the first article below.  You will need to process these steps for each iOS device.

  • How do you get Itunes to sync an album that exists only on the iPad?

Easy enough to sync iTunes albums to the iPad, but how about albums that currently exist only on the iPad? How do you get iTunes to import photo albums it doesn't currently know about? For example I have an app that saves it's files to an album called 'Saved'. I want iTunes to make a local computer copy during 'sync'. I was transferring files from the iPad to the computer via WiFi, but at least on my iPad, WiFi is extremely unreliable, often dropping the connection during data transfers. I finally gave up and decided to do this via USB until Apple gets their act together.

Easy enough to sync iTunes albums to the iPad, but how about albums that currently exist only on the iPad?
If you are transferring photos from iPhoto on your Mac, you mean the iPhoto albums that are available to select under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences? if so, this is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPad.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos from your iPad, which can include photos imported from a digital camera or from a digital camera's storage card with the Camera Connection Kit, or a photo saved from a received email, from a website, or by a 3rd party app that is capable of saving a photo in the same location.
It sounds like the app developer has allowed for transferring photos saved by the app in the app's "Saved" area to your computer via an available wi-fi network that both your computer and iPad are connected to. Unless the app developer allows for saving the photos from the app's "Saved" area to the same location where a photo saved from a received email or from a website is stored, there is no way to import these photos via iPhoto or the Image Capture application on your Mac, which is used for importing photos, not iTunes.

  • Having Difficulty in downloading photo albums from MAC PC to Ipad

I am having difficulty in downloading phot albums/pictures from MAC PC to I-Pad. Plugged in the I-PAd went through I Tunes, created album hit sync etc, and it is not working, any suggestions would be helpful.

The options your configuring in iTunes are to sync the photos back to the iOS device after you import the photos using iPhoto. iTunes does not import photos. Launch iPhoto and connect your iPad to your Mac. iPhoto will determine what photos need to be imported and then click Import in the top right corner of the iPhoto window. Hope that helps
