Sync iphoto slideshow on ipad

Is there a way to sync a slideshow that is in my iphoto library onto my ipad?

You can sync an iPhoto Event, Album, or Faces - so if all the photos in the slideshow are in one of those then yes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
Edit : the photos won't be synced as an actual slideshow, but the Photos app does do it's own slideshows.

  • Give iPhoto slideshow from iPad as gift

Created iPhoto v.2 slideshow on iPad and need to save it to give as gift. How can I do that? Either burn it or flash drive. Do not own iMac. Have PC. Might be able to borrow macbook. Help!

Thanks! This is helpful! Will recipient then be able to keep it permenantly either on their Apple device or can they save it to one of their drives, a disk or a flash drive?
I would prefer to actually wrap a flash drive and give it to them, but if that is not possible, then so be it...

  • Problem with Aperture not syncing iPhoto albums to iPad

Want to sync a few choice old photo albums created in iPhoto to my iPad.    Since I am now running that old iPhoto library in Aperture I should be able to sync selected albums via iTunes, Aperture and USB.
I looked at iTune's photo sync screen and saw that iTunes still distinquishes between iPhoto and Aperture libraries, i.e. one needs to make a choice.
I selected Aperature in the "Sync Photos from" popup and got the following err message:
"Your Aperture Library could not be found. Open the preferences window in Aperture and enable the preference to share previews with other applications."
My iPhoto/Aperture libary easily opened again in Aperture but for the life of me I can not see a preference provision for previewing Aperture albums in anything other than iLife and iWork which was already enabled.
Perhaps Apple is a bit slow in upgrading the detail in their latest Aperture version or are simply screwing people who favor syncing well chosen albums on their iPad in lieu of using iCloud which would require a lot of extra redundant effort to recreate favorite albums so much more easily created in iPhoto/Aperature.

I was experiencing this exact same problem for days and none of the fixes I have found have worked for me, including the one listed here. Only un-installing Aperture allowed me to again sync my iPhoto albums individually again to my iPad2/iPhone4S. Even after re-generating the library for previews/thumbnails, as other posts have suggested to do in Aperture, I still could not see the option to select individual iPhoto Albums as it was greyed out in iTunes.
So here is the simple and odd fix that has just worked for me. When iTunes tells you: "Your Aperture Library could not be found. Open the preferences window in Aperture and enable the preference to share previews with other applications." Do just the opposite. In Aperture Preferences under Preview, with the dropdown after Share Previews with iLife and iWork: select NEVER.
Now if when you open iTunes again, and your option to select individual folders is still greyed out (as happened to me on occastion clearly) do this. Uncheck Sync Photos from iPhoto, select Keep Photos or not depending on what you want and then quit iTunes and DON'T APPLY changes. When you restart iTunes, you should now be able to select individual iPhoto albums.
I realize this doesn't give you options with syncing Aperture Projects, but hey, hopefully Apple will fix this soon.

  • Import iphoto slideshow into ipad

Is it possible to import an iPhoto slideshow into an iPad?

    Hi Constance,
You would first need to export the slideshow from iPhoto as a Quicktime movie.
Then you can view it on your iPad.
    Here's how:
    iPhoto '11: Export a slideshow

iPhoto '11: View photos or slideshows on iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV

    Hope this information helps ...

  • Streaming Iphoto slideshow from IPad II to Apple TV 2

    Hello all,
my englsh is not very well, but I'm try to explain  my problem.
I installed the app  IPhoto on my IPad II. It works very well, In IPhoto I activate tv-synchronisation to get my IPad screen via apple tv 2 on my tv, but no screnn or picture is seen. In a diashow I heared the music. I also does'nt see the airplay button or sign. Thats all. So I need a liitle bit of help or is it my configuration.
By the way: in other apps on my Ipad like photo, music, video and so on airplay works very good. It`s the same netowrk an so on.
    Thanks
    appler00

Many apps don't natively support that audio out to the apple tv, (spotify, pandora, ect) Normally the work around is to get it going with the music app then back out of the music and open the other app (pandora, crackle) and the audio will switch. As far as getting the audio initially try running the music on the ipad then toggle airplay on and skip back to the initial song. At this point if you still have no sound toggle screen mirroring as well all while letting the song run on the ipad.

  • Create iPhoto Slideshow on iPad of Entire Album

I'm on an iPad running ios 7.0.4.  Does anyone know how can I create a slideshow in iPhoto of an entire album without having to click on each individual photo? (My album has hundreds of photos..)  This Apple Support page describes two ways of creating a slideshow, but they both require clicking on each photo individually:  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11976?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Alternatively, if anyone knows of a 3rd-party app that will allow that, I'd love to hear about it.
    Thank you,
    William

I am trying to create a slideshow on DVD for a
client. His business is a small newspaper. For an
upcoming tradeshow, he wants to have a large display
with a slideshow of each page of the paper scrolling
across the screen, flipping to the next page, etc. I
figured iPhoto would be an excellent tool to do it
without much labor, using the Ken Burns effect to pan
the full length of each page. It works perfectly on
my Mac display and looks great.
Even the exported video looks OK when I preview it in
    iDVD.
However, once it goes to DVD, the visual quality is
worthless. I expected serious degradation of text
quality since it is only 720 pixels wide. The text
isn't as sharp, but it is readable.
The big problem is that as it scrolls, it looks like
the the images pass behind a grid of prisms that
refract everything. The disruptive lines are about
1/4 inch apart, so the whole TV screen is a mess,
it's impossible to watch. At first I thought it may
be an issue with the scan rate of the TV, but the
same thing happens when I play the DVD back on my
    notebook PC and my Mac.
I set the iDVD preview window and the DVD Player
window side by side and played them together. The
iDVD preview was fine, the DVD player window gives me
    a headache.
What can be causing this, and is there any way to
change a setting in iPhoto or iDVD to prevent it?
What resolution are you using for the slides? I have done several DVDs with slide shows as an option (training DVDs) and it's always worked well. I am using PNG and JPEG files with at least 150dpi resolution. I've even used Contrictor to snap screen shots of some PDF files with good results. I am using a 17" screen so again, I'm getting as much resolution as I can before I stick them into the DVD slide show.

  • Syncing iPhoto slideshows to Apple TV

I've built my slideshow in iPhoto and linked it to a music track. When I sync to my Apple TV, the slideshow is there but the music track and all the settings are gone. Anyway of fixing this?

You camera shoots 1920x1080 video. An Apple TV supports 1280 by 720 pixels at 24 fps and 960 by 540 pixels at 30 fps.
Your 1920x1080 video needs to be converted to 960x540 for use on your Apple TV.

  • Syncing iPhoto albums onto iPad/iPhone

Since my latest update on my MacBook Pro the iPhoto option of "selected albums, Events and Faces" no longer works. I am only able to sync "All photos, albums, Events and Faces" to my iPads and iPhone. I then have to re-create albums on these devices. If this option is still on iTunes it should still be available.

  • Iphoto on the ipad doesent sync

what can I do to sync. iphoto on my ipad?

To get photos that you editied in iPhoto for iOS onto your iPad you'll need to first share them to iTunes, email them to yourself, or share them to the Camera Roll. Sharing them to iTunes will let you move them to your computer at their full resolution.

  • Syncing iPhoto problems!

Someone please help me! I'm going crazy trying to figure this out.
I use iPhoto. I had iPhoto on my old mac and ALL my photos were on there (photos from when I was travelling and living in USA so really dont want to lose any of them as they are precious memories) I then downloaded iPhoto onto my iPad2 and synced all my photos from iPhoto on my mac to iPhoto on my iPad2. I had all my photos stored on both my mac and my iPad2.
I then studpidly dropped my mac and smashed it to pieces. With it in mind that I was going to buy a new mac anyway I didnt think to do anything with the smashed mac, simply chucked it knowing I had everything I needed backed up in my cloud/dropbox and all my photos where still in iphoto on my ipad2. I bought a new mac and cannot for the life of me figure out how to sync my iPhoto on my iPad2 to my new mac.
I have even been to the Genius bar at the Apple store who have told me they dont know how to do it and just to email all the pictures from my iPad to my mac (There are 1000's and this would take forever) The only syncing option I can find is to sync iPhoto on my mac to iPhoto on my iPad and not the other way round.
I have also since got the new iPad Air and want to get rid of my iPad2 but cant get rid of it without getting my pictures off it first. There has to be a way to be able to sync iPhoto on an iPad to a mac! Please help me!!!!
    Thank you

Apple's mistake was not to create this app, but to name it iPhoto, like the iPhoto application on the mac. This implies, that both app(lication)s could be used for the same purposes, but in fact they have been designed for completely different purposes.
iPhoto on your Mac is a full grown digital asset management system to organize and maintain photo libraries.
iPhoto on the iPad, iPhone is a simple tool to share photos to Flickr, Facebook, to add a few adjustments before sharing, to preview your snapshots taken on the device, to present photos you have synced to the device. Keep in mind, that the computational power of the handheld devices is limited, and most users don't buy devices with much memory. See the iPhoto iOS page:  http://www.apple.com/ios/iphoto/
iPhoto for iOS is the perfect home for all your photos. The beautiful new interface makes it simpler than ever to organize, edit, and share. Easy‑to‑use editing tools let you paint adjustments onto an image with your finger or add professional‑quality photo effects with a tap. And there are great new ways to create and share interactive slideshows, gorgeous web journals, prints, posters, and photo books. iPhoto isn’t just a collection of pictures. It’s a collection of possibilities.
It really is one-way. You can sync easily from your Mac to your devices, but there is no easy way back - the edits you do on your iPad are meant for "sharing" - to be used before mailing or publishing web albums or journals. All features are just designed for very small iPhoto libraries. There is no easy way to select multiple images. You have to tap each image. There is no way to sort the images - unnecessary, if you only have a few photos. And if you reinstall iPhoto on an iOS device, your iPhoto library will be gone and you need to restore it from your backup.
I am also hoping for a real "iPhoto" on my iPad, but we are not yet there. It would be great to be able to do some editing and organizing with the iPad while travelling and to sync it back to my Mac, when I return. Right now, I prefer to take a MacBook Pro with me.

  • I am trying to sync my iPhoto to my iPad from my Mac but iTunes keeps telling me that my iPhoto Library can't be found.

I am trying to sync my iPhoto to my iPad from my Mac but iTunes keeps telling me that my iPhoto Library can't be found. I obviously can see that I have many photos and events so I am not sure why I'm getting this message.I have all the current software and have been playing around with it for hours and can't figure out the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    im having the same problem!

  • Only some of my photo's are syncing from iPhoto to my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV.

Only some of my photo's are syncing from iPhoto to my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV.
It may be my own fault due to learning Aperture and playing around with the locations of the Master Files.
The thing I don't understand is that when in iPhoto all thumbnails of all photo's are able to be enlarged / edited etc. When a thumbnail is clicked on there is no gray triangle with an exclamation mark indicating that the link to the original photo can't be found. I would have thought this was ok for syncing to take place.
When trying to sync through iTunes to my iPad for example (after some photo's have been synced) a window comes up saying "Some of your photos, including the photo “_MG_3820.jpg”, were not copied to the iPad “Mark Harlen’s iPad” because they cannot be displayed on your iPad".
I thought this may be due to lack of memory space but my Apple TV (which has the same issue but not the same warning window) has over over 100 free GB's so that can't be it.
When I did a test and re imported one photo that wasn't being synced to my other devices, that photo consequently was then synced so maybe it has something to do with the path through iPhoto to the original files.
Is there any way I can re establish these links with out having to create an entire new iPhoto library from the originals (I have a lot of albums and have done a lot of editing etc and don't and want to have to do it all again).
I look forward to you help and advice
    Mark

Thanks for the advice but it didn't seem to work
I've decided to try ditching iPhoto and orgainising, syncing my photo's to all devices from Aperture
I have so far imported over 1200 photo's (relocating and renaming the master files as well) and find that when syncing through iTunes only 209 photo's are listed. The Projects/Albums are there but some indicate that there are 0 photo's in them when I know other wise (at least according to whats happing in Aperture)
I'm starting to suspect it may be a computer problem
    Any thoughts?
    Regards
    Mark
PS: Just after posting this I restarted my computer, went into iTunes and my Apple TV started to sync. It was now syncing 854 photo's not 209 as before.
