Sync is not syncing anything with iPad, yet states sync completed successfully

This just recently happend.
I was tyring to sync a couple new movies to the iPad, but they would not sync over. I tried setting to sync all movies, sync only those checked, or sync those in a specific playlist. None of these changes made any difference. I thought I would try to remove a few of the videos just in case it was a weird space issue, and noticed I could not remove the videos from my iPad by removing the check mark from the viedo (I also made sure Automatically include all was not checked, nor include movies from playlists). When that didn't work, I unchecked Sync Movies to remove them all. The Capacity bar showed the video allocation went from 5.7GB to .21GB. I syncd and it completed.
But when I checked on the iPad, ALL the videos are still there!
I tried to only sync 1 video, Update to the latest iOS version, unchecked to syn Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, etc, all to no avail. Even with Movies, TV Shows, and Pocdcast sync options turned off, it will not remove any of that content on my iPad, nor allow me to add new content, even though the sync states it completed properly. The more I dig through this, the more items I find not syncing. I just tried to sync a couple new apps, and they show as being on the iPad in the iTunes view, yet they are not on the iPad.
I tried rebooting, turning off and on all syncing, updating to latest 4.3.2,etc, all to no avail. Basically, the iPad is stuck in a frozen state with regard to syncing, the views in iTunes do not match what is on the iPad, yet all attempts at syncing complete normally.
My last resort will be to restore it to factory settings, and start with a new fresh sync if we can't figure out whats happening.

I've found the issue. Its due to the fact I've used a I Phone Config Utility to install iMovie on the first gen iPad. I've removed it and it is now syncing as it should. I'll have to reinstall iMovie again when I need it in the future.

    You have to use iCloud for the Notes. Books can be synced via iTunes.

    Yes it will sync and if you have mobileme, over the air. But you can't write a note in Mail on the iPhone and sync over the air. Instead you get to write a new email instead. Go figure.

    Are you trying to restore a backup, or just sync some apps? Do you have profiles installed on the device?
    Have you plugged the ipad into iTunes, and did a fresh install? I'm assuming the device went through the prepare setup properly. You many have to unsupervise it first, then plug it into iTunes to wipe it completely.
    I'd then do each step seperately. Prepare it, then install 1 app, if that works, try another app, then maybe a profile.

    cannect it to a computer and let it sync through iTunes. Contacts are a broad problem. You need to state where your contacts are located i.e. do you use yahoo mail? do you sync to iCloud? there are alot of answers for you problem but you need to be a little more detailed

    This has happened to me a couple of times and what I do is quit iTunes and restart my Mac and then try again and then it will work.
    If iTunes has already created the backup, you should still be able to restore from the backup when you are connected to iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left side of iTunes and select restore from backup. After the process completes, sync with iTunes to transfer all of your apps, music, photos and other media back onto the iPad.

    You are going to have to download and install iTunes on the computer. Your iPhone is in recovery mode. See this support document for help with that. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    No not really. If this is a brand new Macbook Pro take it back for a refund. Apple has a 14 day No Questions Asked return policy for Full refund.

    I have iPad3, iPhone3GS and iTouch all set up with latest software. I sync with a Sony VAIO and the sync is fine and complete with the iPad and iTouch. The iPhone refuses to allow syncing of Outlook Notes from laptop to iPhone. On both other devices the sync of Outlook Notes and everything else works fine. I have follwed other blog suggestions and erased/added accounts, checked that there are not any Notes with no data or headings and all the other ideas but to no avail. The difficulty is only with Notes syncing to the iPhone, works fine with iPad and iTouch.

    The apple store fixed it for me. They basically said I had too many "calendar" sources checked. They eliminated all but the calendar "from my PC". When I open the iPhone calendar, and click on the upper left calendar button, only one calendar shows up (from my PC). iCloud calendar is off, google calendar off, etc.

    I've had this same issue. I just updated to iOS 8.0.2 but the problem was not a fix in the release. I do have a legacy machine, a MacMini, which may be the issue, but she's still a great little work horse. Runs like a champ. Here are what I think may be the relevant lines from my log. Any ideas?

  • Why does Apple not support syncing Entourage Notes and Tasks with the iPhone?

    I'd like to know why Apply syncing does not support notes and task syncing with the iPhone.  It used to when I had a Balckberry and used a third party sync app.
    I bought the iPhone (4S) thinking that syncing would be smoother and have less problems than I was having with the Blackberry and third party sync software.  Are there any plans to support this?
