Sync issue in aperture, with Facebook since 10.8.2

since the upgrage with 10.8.2. Aperture is working erraticaly, few crashes, especially when i enter in the preferences my facebook login, accepted, but when i close Aperture and reopen, the setup is gone.
Furthermore, i had a lot of albums in facebook, via aperture, i can't find them and i can't post new photos from Aperture.
I am very disappointed since the 10.8.2 update, apple new releases were almost bug free, now a day it is not the case anymore.

Well, just in case anyone else has the same issue....
I went back to "classic view" in preferences, and then unchecked "organize by conversation" and it miraculously re-appeared. This conversation thing is a good idea sometimes, but not if it's going to make mail hard to find....

Tearing/Sync issues on G5 with X800XT

I recently bought a refurbished G5 2x2.0Ghz with 512mg Ram with an ATI X800 XT card in it. I'm running 10.4.3 and the firmware on the graphics card has been updated to the current spec.
When I watch anything with fast motion such as an .avi or .mov there is tearing horizontally across the screen but I don't know why. My machine is plugged via a DVI cable into a Samsung26" LCD.
Has anyone experienced this and figured out a fix? I saw that there was a long thread about the ATI cards but I checked and the problematic driver isn't installed and this thread mainly dealt with Panther. My machine has a very clean system with hardly anything other than the standard installed. I use VLC for viewing .avis.
If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm using the G5 as a media centre so obviously it's not ideal if I have this constant tearing or sync issues.

check out this thread and tell me if it is the same thing you are seeing in your video interface..if so then it might be a Tiger issue with OpenGL (maybe)?. I am on the same OS but with a different card and system(Quad) ..I get it in garage band which for the most part has a moving interface. I did get it to go away but not using my wacom tablet but others have removed theirs and it still exists..but on another note I am still having OpenGL issues in other areas. OpenGL is supposed to be an area of fixes with the 10.4.4 update coming soon.

Sync issues after updating with ios7

I downloaded ios7 to my iphone and after performing the usual sync with my PC, my tasks and calendar appts from Outlook have now all been wiped. Sure, there all there now on my iphone and in iCloud, but how do I get them back on my PC - Outlook, since that was the original source?

I am having the same issue. I use it for my business so that all the employees have the appointments both on their computer and on their iPhones. System worked great until ios7 messed everything up.

Itunes will not sync photos from aperture with iphone

I cannot sync images in my Aperture Library with my iPhone 5. I used to be able to do it, but now, no matter what I ask it to sync, the sync quits when it gets to importing the photos I've selected

Same issue with iMac to iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Both with iOS 8.1.

I can't sync my bb contacts with facebook

I have a BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 and I have Facebook installed on my phone. I recieve messages and notifications and events on my phone, but even after going into "Options" and clicking on the contacts checkbox, it still wont sync

In this case i would recommend wiping the BlackBerry smartphone. To do this we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click on the Backup and Restore button and select Back Up. Please note the location where the backup is being saved as we will need to access it later to restore the BlackBerry smartphone.

10.6.6 update and syncing issues in iTunes with iPhone 4 and Apple TV

After installing the recent OSX 10.6.6 update, I am receiving the following error messages in iTunes 10.1.1 when trying to sync both my iPhone 4 (iOS v4.2.1) and my 1st generation Apple TV (OS v3.0.2):
iPhone error message:
"The iPhone cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to."
Apple TV error message:
"iTunes cannot sync photos to the Apple TV because of a problem on your computer. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I'm not sure if this matters - but in the iPhone error message - it does not state if the "disk" is the iPhone or the computer - but in the Apple TV error message it does make this distinction, saying that the problem is on my computer and specifically mentions photos.
Now, once I dismiss either of the error messages, the sync progresses normally and completes successfully. Also, I have checked my computer (MacPro) and all diagnostics (including the internal hard drives) pass with flying colors. And the computer is working fine otherwise - so I have no reason to believe that there is a hardware problem with the computer. And I would find it very strange that I would have a hardware problem with both my iPhone and Apple TV appearing at the exact same time. And finally, both the iPhone and Apple TV are performing normally when in use.
Since this problem did not start until after running the 10.6.6 update - logic tells me that is where the problem probably lies.... the question is how to resolve it - anyone have any ideas?

FYI: I received the following answer to this same question which I had posted in a different area of the forum and it solved my problem:
+Both those symptoms are consistent with a damaged photo cache. If you remove your existing photo cache as per the instructions in the following document, does that get you past the error?+

Issue in integrating with facebook

Hi,
I am trying to integrate my app with faceboo I am also able to post my reviews on facebook but when I click on the link posted on facebook, It redirects me to my correct page but doesn't load my review n give service unavailable error. it is giving me a Rest Query failed error in logs.
Can any body tell me why its happening.

In BMM layer i made this dimension as fact and tried to create reports but not use....which isn't the way. First of all your cube seems to be built quite bizarre since it doesn't even provide a default measure hierarchy so I'd have your Essbase guys check that.
As for the OBIEE side: the key is the physical layer. BMM's already too late. In the physical cube object, you must define one of the hierarchies as the measure hierarchy (since your cube doesn't seem to provide it; see above):

I Pad sync issue after updated with iOS 6

I got this new ipad and took some photos after I unwrap it. This unit haven't been connected with any PCs. Once i try to retrive it with itune after updated the ipad with iOS 6 , but it doesn't work and unable to sync with my PC . I sent to the service center, they say I have to restore it but I will lost all the photos. How can i retrive the photos before i restore it . All the photos are highly important to me and my family. All the photos inside the pad is the only last and final memorial which will never have any second chances to take it any more at All. PLEASE ADVISE .

Did you set up an email account on your iPad?
If so, go to photo's, select all the photo's you want (5max per email) and send those photo's to your self.
Then open your mail on your computer and tadaa

Xperia with Facebook won't sync contacts (no HD pictures in phonebook)

This worked fine on Z1 and in sync options under xperia with facebook there are two options calendar and contacts...
on Z3 there is only calendar sync no contacts...anyone having the same?

Xperia with Facebook is in the process of being phased out and some functionality have already been removed in new products and firmware updates. Therefore is the exact functionality scoop dependent on device and firmware. Right now we are only delivering Album, Calendar and TextInput functionality.
The information i got is that this is becuse of changes from Facebook but older devices/firmwares may still work.

Exchange sync issues

I'm having an issue where my Exchange email seems to stop working on a random basis. I have to delete my account and then re-add it in order to start receiving emails again. My gmail and google apps accounts sync just fine. I've checked with our IT department, and other users aren't having the same issue. My phone worked fine up until about a week ago. I deleted the certificate and re-installed it, just to be certain. Any thoughts? Any known issues I should be aware of? Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'll have to check with the IT department. Unless they have upgraded recently, we are using exchange 2003 SP1. I'll also ask about the test account.
As far as I know, and as far as IT knows, I'm the only one using WebOS. The IT department only "supports" Blackberries & iPhones. I prefer the Pre, and as long as the exchange sync works, I'll stick with it.
I have had the issue happen again several more times. It isn't an "8 am" exactly issue. The other morning I received emails up until 9 or so, then stopped.
I have tried just re-entering my password and that didn't seem to work. Maybe I need to give it a little more time. Maybe I should change my network password and see if that makes any difference. Perhpas that is where the sync "disconnects". Since exchange email works for iPhone users, I have to think it is a WebOS specific issue, versus an exchange issue, or perhaps I should say a WebOS - Exchange connection issue, as opposed to an "exchange" issue.
I only asked about the logs because I was involved with a previous exchange sync issue and worked with the support techs several times, and they have asked for several logs.

Aperture 3.4.1 sync issue with Facebook

When I upload an picture to Facebook, it won't sync anymore with Aperture.

I had the following exchange with one of my daughters who is quiet expert with Facebook: me) Are there single photo uploads via the iPhone that would not be treated like an album on Facebook? Daughter) Yes, they would be in mobile uploads folder, or wall photos. Sometimes there are multiple wall photo albums.
Where did you find your photo? The folders she is talking about would likely not get picked up by Aperture on sync.

Aperture 3.03 sync issue with Apple TV

Hi to all,
I would like to ask you for a help in the following issue:
When I sync Aperture with Apple TV I then see that only masters were transferred. When I make some photo adjustments (without creating a version from master) they are not visible on the Apple tv. I can only see a master photo without any adjustments.
How can I transfer a photo with adjustments made on it? Do I have to create a Version from master and then sync only that version with all adjustment made on it?

I've got my Aperture library on an external hard drive connected to my Airport Extreme. Now version 3.0.3 of Aperture opens beautifully and reads my library, but when I try to sync my photos with my Apple TV then iTunes doesn't recognise any photos in my library, although it does recognise the projects and albums . :-s
Any ideas? Looking like a bug to me at the moment...

Thank you for your response, When I go to the Archives, it states I have none. In addition, previously when I'd tried to move items to the archive, they just disappeared
Currently my desktop is not connecting at all, Everytime I connect, it's states "We have now logged you out" and requests I login again.
I have of course rebooted,
Gone into taskmanager, killed all the relevant threads, tried again to login through the desktop, no luck, I'll have to uninstall it, make sure the threads are killed, then reboot it and then reinstall it, but I've not had the time to do that.
On another note, and just as a point of reference, myself, personally, I hate these "cloud" file repositories (not to be confused with adobe cloud services which I love) but the file repositories themselves imho, are a blackhole of resource usage when one doesn't/isn't using them,
Is there a way we can use it more of a "ftp" sort of thing, when I want to I can put files there? There is no way to "Download" the repository, no way to download the folders.. only individual files and then it takes I think three different steps before the download starts.. I find this very inhibiting. Just an fyi. for what it's worth.

Having sync issues with Outlook 2011 since upgrading to Mavericks

Hi All,
My work Macbook Pro 13" is having issues syncing my inbox and sent mail automatically. It's a hit or miss if I recieve emails in my inbox in a timely mannor with out pressing the Send/Recive button (even when i press it takes minutes to update). My Sent Items can show up an hour later even if I hit the Send/Recieve button.
All my mail is there and shows up/syncs on my iPhone quickly. I upgraded to Mavericks right when it came out and have only been having these sync issues for the last week or so.
I've cleared my mail cache and that didn't work. My calandar reminders and contacts don't seem to have any issues and no other apps have been preforming slow or strangely.... just my VERY important work email. My tech guys are stumped and I wanted to try you guys before they do a major rehaul of my system

A new Outlook Identity will most likely solve your issues. If you have any data under "On My Computer" folders, see this link:

BTW, how much free space on your drive? Use Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities to find this info. You need a minimum of 10% free but 15-20% is recommended.
Outlook gets very sluggish when you are low on disk space. If you have a bunch of older Identities from previous rebuilds you can delete these to help free up space.
