Sync Itouch to MobileMe

I am trying to sync my Itouch to MobileMe so I can view my daughters pictures. When I try to log in - I get a message saying my Itouch is not qualified for free MobileMe service. Does this mean I have to be a paid subscriber, or am I missing something.

If she has a mobileme gallery, then you do not need to log into anything. You just go to her mobileme gallery on Safari. It is just a web page, like any other.
She just needs to send you the link/address to the page.

  • Calendar not appearing in sync tab on MobileMe System Preferences

The Calendar check box is not appearing in sync tab on MobileMe System Preferences.
When I opened SP, MobileMe and sync tab, I can Calendar showing up and disappearing right away. What is this?
I am sorry if it was already discussed, but I could not find it. I can see topics about iCal bug and syncs but not specificaly this one.
    Thanks for any help.

    Mario,
The calendar sync has been removed from the MobileMe Sync preference pane, but I have seen the problem you have described, and can invoke it by accessing the "Open MobileMe Preferences...> selction through the sync icon menu item (Option + Click):
Then I am presented with this:
The "Calendars" choice disappears when I access the sync preference directly from System Preferences.
Seems like a bug to me.

  • Sync iphone and MobileMe

new contact and calendar information on my iphone will not sync up to MobileMe or directly to the computer even if they are connected. How do I sync them? Push is on and so is automatic syncing.

This is the iSync forum. iSync is for syncing with non-Apple mobile phones only, and doesn't sync with MobileMe or other computers.
Try posting in the MobileMe on iPhone and iPod Touch > MobileMe Sync forum.

  • Synced ical with mobileme, now can't edit calendar

Hi, I synced ical through mobileme thinking mobileme would serve as a "backup" for my ical. I use ical on my macbook and don't check the mobileme calendar.
but now i can't write on my ical when it is open on my macbook.
how can i change the settings so that i can use ical on my macbook and have it backed up on mobileme?
if this is impossible please tell me how to restore the original settings and get my ical off mobileme.

Hello Doxiechick and welcome to the Palm forums.
Are you sure you are syncing with Microsoft Outlook and not a Microsoft Exhcange server or some other corporate email system?  If you are syncing a Palm OS device, like the Centro, to Microsoft Outlook, the default database files don't get deleted.  My guess is that there is something else going on here, especially if you have contacts on your Centro.

  • Sync Notes between MobileMe and iPhone

How can I sync my notes that exist on my MobileMe account to my iphone. I have 2 computers (iMac and MacBook Pro) that sync notes via MobileMe. That seems to work fine. Now I have 2 iPhones I would like to sync the notes with. (My wife's iPhone with the iMac and my iPhone with the MacBook Pro).
I have checked the box in itunes to sync notes, but nothing comes over to my iPhone. Everything else is syncing fine to the iPhones via MobileMe directly...
    Any thoughts?

  • Syncing iTools with MobileMe

iSync on my older PowerBook G4 still wants to sync with my old iTools account, while iSync on my newer PowerBook Pro wants to sync with MobileMe. The result is two calendars on an iTouch - an iTools calendar and a MobileMe calendar (and, of course, they're NOT in sync with each other). How I direct/change the PowerBook to go to MobileMe instead of iTools? (And, once that's done, how to I delete iTools from any/all Calendar references?
    Thanks!

iTools doesn't exist any more. It was completely replaced by .Mac in July 2002, then in July 2008 .Mac was completely replaced by MobileMe.
MobileMe requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. You don't say what version of OS X your old PowerBook is running, but you should update it to at least 10.4.11 for it to be able to successfully sync with MobileMe. Hopefully this should resolve your syncing issues.
Also, since the release of Mac OS X 10.4 iSync no longer has anything to do with syncing to MobileMe (or it's predecessors .Mac and iTools)
For further assistance with syncing with MobileMe, see the MobileMe specific forums starting here:

  • Syncing iTouch to iCal

Can I sync my iTouch to my iMac's iCal, and can this be done without a MobileMe account? I've heard that you can, but haven't been able to figure out how..

Yes you can. You need to do it through itunes. In itunes, you need to go to info and scroll down to address book/calender and then click on what you want. You may need to sync again.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to stop syncing Contacts with mobileme

I don't know why but I keep getting a 'Sync Alert' saying that Mobileme wants to change more than 25% of my contacts. When I look at the details it has all these people I barely know and it there is no other contact info attached to their name. For the people I do know it wants to change there contact to include less info than I already have on them.
My guess is that it's a Facebook 'Import Contacts' thing I hit by mistake or something and it's asking me to import all of my "friends".
However it got here I don't want to do but there is no "don't ask me again" option in the sync alert. It only gives me a 'Sync Later' option but I never want to sync!
    Any ideas?

On second thought- my Facebook theory is whack. I'm not sure what the **** is going on or who all these people are that Mobileme wants to sync. The only thing that was out of the ordinary is I got an iPhone 4 and entered my Mobileme account info on the phone to sync everything but my apps until i got to my computer. That worked but it added all these names and I don't know who these people are!?

  • Problem with date and time syncing itouch to macbook

i have a problem with the date and time on ical when i sync my itouch4 w my macbookair. whatever i entered into my calendar in itouch will appear different in my ical( with a 6 hrs advance difference) and the alarm i set on my itouch in the calendar doesnt ring at the right time as set even though it is shown the time that i wanted.
Both my macbook n itouch are set to the same time zone and i have checked this many many times n the time is the same on both machine. but i just dont understand why is there a time difference when synced and my alarm just dont sound at the time it was supposedly set. it rings hours later n showing a different time that it was set but in the parenthesis the right time that i had set it.
One time my computer ran out of battery n went into sleep mode and when i open it again, the time n date setting was all off. which im surprised why it had gone off. So did this create the problem i have now with the date n time sync or something else?
    please help!!!!

Having the same problem, & am running Parallels (which I haven't used for some time) not boot camp. I tick the box labeled "Set time automatically" & lock the "click the lock to make changes". When I reboot, the Lock is unlocked and the "set time...." is unticked. Any ideas. Cheers.

  • How do you sync iTouch to iTunes if you don't own or have access to a computer?

For some time now, my iTouch 4 iOS 4.3.2 (or whatever the latest iOS Apple still provided for this particular device), 59.1 GB, with wi-fi, no cellular, has displayed a screen message indicating there is no room to complete download of song(s) or to complete one or more App updates because "storage" is full. Most of the time, downloads and updates run fine. I know the iTouch capacity is practically full, so I've deleted Apps, large photo files, etc. etc. to free up space on it, then all goes fine until the next time that message appears following updating Apps or whatever. But there is plenty of "storage" still available with my iCloud subscription, so I've been ignoring these messages, assuming the message had more to do with the iTouch's dwindling free space and not lack of iCloud space. But, for the first time last night while listening to music stored on the iTouch by docking it to a Bose Wave radio (btw, something I've done without problems for a long time) the iTouch stopped playing on it's own while in the dock, first displaying a black or blank screen as if it was turned off but then displayed a screen image (new to me) of the end of USB cable that would plug into a PC port with an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon. No matter what I've tried, this image returns then stays on at least while the iTouch is docked. I have been doing daily backups to iCloud for this and my newest version of the iPad. My computer died several months ago, so until I buy a new one, I've not had any means to do a PC iTunes sync or PC iTunes backup for the iTouch. My last iTouch back-up was in April and I believe I checked the iTunes boxes to sync/back-up to iCloud rather than to the PC, if memory serves me right.  Up until now, not having iTunes on a home PC hasn't been a problem, so I never gave thought that Apple would require one to have a PC or MAC if one wanted to own and maintain an iTouch, iPhone, iPad, whatever. I realize the iTouch is getting old, but has been working fine up until now. Does anyone have any ideas other than buying a new PC or MAC to install iTunes on?

    This:
but then displayed a screen image (new to me) of the end of USB cable that would plug into a PC port with an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon.
Means the iPod encountered and error and you have to connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes and an internet connection and restore via iTunes.
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Also say you have iCloud but that requires iOS 5 or later except with your iOS verions (4.3.2) you can redownload iTunes purchases on the iPod.

  • Won't sync calender with mobileme "inconsistent data error message"

I have tried about everything that I can think of but can't seem to solve this problem.
I have a new Macbook Pro and have been using mobileme and ical for some time now. I can't get my Macbook Pro to sync with mobileme ical. It does sync with the address book, but when it gets to the ical portion it tries and then reports "can't sync due to inconsistent data on this computer. Correct data and resync calender".
I have no idea what the "inconsistent data" is. My computer gets its time from apple.com and the time/date is correct. What is the inconsistent data. My calender and schedule is a critical issue. Please help.

Errors in syncing can happen for all sorts of reasons - loss of network connectivity, for instance - and it might be necessary to reset the synced data from a reliable source. It's not talking about deleting anything - unless you have data on your new computer that you need to retain.
The document says that if you have this problem on your new machine, you probably need to overwrite that local data with data from MobileMe.
Personally, I've never lost any data with dotmac or MobileMe, so my experience is it can be relied on. I do, however, keep backups of all my data as well.
