Sync itunes with Iphone

Hi guys,
I have a little problem when syncing my tracks with my Iphone 3G. Basically, i copy the tracks over and they are on the itunes library, but when ever i connect my iphone, to move the tracks over to the iphone, it doesnt seem to work. ive tried updating my firewaer and the itunes software and nothing works. i believe this has started with me enabling the Genius feature on Itunes! can anyone help?

Have you setup iTunes to sync music with your phone? When you plug your phone it, goto the music tab, and make sure that it is set to sync your library with iTunes.

I know that this is not supposed to be possible so can anyone tell me what's going on? I recently downloaded itunes for my netbook and the first time I ran it with my iphone 3Gs nearby it recognised the phone and had it listed correctly as my iphone. Not a usb cable in sight. And I have never connected my iphone to that computer. The icon for my iphone soon disappeared and has never come back.

You cannot sync via Wi-Fi. The iPhone will show up in iTunes when on the same network if iTunes is set to look for remotes (the Remote app lets the iPhone control iTunes playback).

Spent about an hour on the phone today to Apple Care and got this sorted.
Apparently it was due to a piece of software either missing or corrupt on the iPhone which affected the syncing process. The solution was to:first backup the iPhone using iTunes, then restore from that backup. Eject & disconnect the iPhone from the computer, and then reconnect it.
Upon reconnection, iTunes gave the option of starting from scatch or restoring from a backup - select restore from backup (not sure why this had to be done twice, but went with it and it worked). It then transferred over all the music - job done!

I see my apps. on the itunes windows, but they will not transfer to my phone, why?

There is no fix as of today from Apple. However, here is an imperfect "workaround":
Found a solution on another site that worked for me when I encountered the same problem (and did not want to pay for iPhoto 11):
Press the option key while starting iPhoto, it will ask which library to use -- select "Create a new library." That will create an empty library.
Quit iPhoto, then restart it with the option key to ensure it's using the new, empty library. Close iPhoto.
Open iTunes -- if you're lucky (I was, finally), it should not crash when you select the iPhone. Now you can check that the "sync photos" option in iTunes is not selected.
If you're using iPhoto, restart it with the option key to select a library -- select your older library.
In case you're using Aperture as I am, I did not have to make any changes in the Aperture libraries. I've been able to keep Photo Stream enabled on the iPhone without complications, which meets my needs.
Configuation - iMac, OS 10.7.3, iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1 (over the air update), iPhoto 8. I did not encounter the problem others have reported with iTunes crashing as soon as it was opened; but it did consistently when I selected the iPhone.

Can and do I need to download OS X Mountain lion to support me to be able to use Icloud for my mac and iphone 4s and to sync other stuff up to it? I currently am running on a Mac OS X 10.6.7 wtih 4GB and it says I need 10.6.8 to to icloud and sync my itunes to my phone. What do you suggest? Is it possible to put OS X Mountain lion on my computer with its current state?

As your Mac should run Snow Leopard provided it has at least 1GB memory, that would be a good deal easier and very much cheaper than trying to find a 10.5 install disc.
Snow Leopard costs $30 approx from the online Apple store (£26 if you're in UK)
You'll need to update Tiger to 10.4.11 with the combo installer first (unless you're just erasing the disc and starting fresh) You can then update SL from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8 with its combo installer.
For comparison, 10.5 Leopard is currently running about $130 from Apple (if still available) and more on Amazon etc.

New MacBook Pro not syncing iTunes with iPhone

I noticed my music is not sync'ing from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro. Everything else does (Mail, Calendar, iPhoto, etc).
What am I missing here?
Error says - iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800006B)

From /Users/Shared/ try dragging the folder into your user accounts music folder.

i recently synced my iphone 4 and lost all the music on my phone. all of the music on my phone disappeared, but is still available on my computer. I believe I synced the music to icloud, and it is not recognizing the music i downloaded prior to that particular sync. the music i have downloaded since then appears on my phone, but the other 3200 are still not available on my phone. any idea how i can get this music back to my phone?

IOS 7.1.2 sync issue with iPhone 5 iTunes 11.2.2.3 windows 7

Unable to sync content with iPhone 5 after upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 running iTunes 11.2.2.3 on Windows 7. Photo albums are messed up initially, then re-sync a few times and ended up with iTunes summary tab status showing capacity usage as only "Other". All boxes under Option section are unchecked. Please help if anyone has the same problem and resolved.

On you iPhone, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it one by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPhone:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, connect to sync and see if this resolves the issue.

iTunes doesn't sync iCal with iPhone after upgraded to Mountain Lion. I even tried to use Replace Information On This iPhone and it doesn't work. Any idea guys?

I'm having the same problem. It's as if my iPhone and MacBook Pro now have two separate calendars.
Basically, I have a MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion, 13", late 2011) that I sync via USB with an iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1). Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, all of my iCal events would sync flawlessly. But none of the events I've created in iCal (Calendars) since upgrading have synced to the iPhone. Likewise, no new events that I create on the iPhone Calendar will sync to iCal. Also, changes to an existing event (even one created before upgrading to Mountain Lion) don't get synced either.
Everything else seems to be syncing just fine though (music, apps, contacts, etc).

Have a similar issue. Have iphone 4 running ios7. itunes 11.1.3.8. Probably is intermittent (once every 2 weeks?) and persistent. Syncs fine for days. Then all at once playlists are not updated. For example; over the holidays I added some holiday songs to a playlist. Today I removed the holiday songs from the playlist in itunes. Sync the phone. All messages indicate sync is successful. Songs still in playlist on the phone! Continues to happen over multiple syncs. In the past I have had some songs update but not all songs. This cycle of attempting syncing continues until other songs on the iphone 'disappear' (they are listed in playlists but don't play!). Don't know the cause but it is very annoying and unpredictable. Eventually taking all music off the iphone and then adding it back works but even this take multiple iterations. These issues seem to have started after upgrading to ios7. I have workarounds that are very timeconsuming. I'm interested in solutions to the root cause. Can anyone help?

NOTE: I have been to Verizon and they could not help me and it is too far to go to an apple store. I have downloaded the apple manual and it is toooooo technical for me.

If you don't have a backup of your pc, you will have to use a third party solution to get your music back. I have used [CopyTrans|http://www.copytrans.net/copytrans.php] successfully but I did purchase it so I don't know what the free version supports.
You can [download purchased Apps for free|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519] but that won't work for music, movies, etc.
