Sync lost my all data! How to recovery ??!!
When im try to sync 2nd pc, then:
1 - ok, all sync
2 - no sync data...
Im exit first 1 next 2, when im start 1 im no have sync data and od 2 thats same... It fucking creazy

If you mean data from the iPhone itself, you can't back up anything from it now that it's no longer in your possession. If you didn't previously back up to iTunes or iCloud, then unless you are lucky enough to recover the iPhone intact, any data on it is lost.

You can not install iOS 5. It is no longer signed by Apple. You can only install the current version of iOS. For a 3GS, that's 6.1.3.
However... if you have 4.2.1 on your phone, odds are it is not a 3GS, it is a 3G. If that's the case, you've reached the end of the road for that. It can not run anything higher than 4.2.1. -
After syncing, lost almost all contacts (except 12) on iPhone and Outlook
I did a sync on Thursday and I lost almost all contacts (except 12 contacts) on both iPhone and Outlook. Only 6 of remaining 12 contacts were new entries since last syncing. So, some old contacts stays and most of got ereased. I tried to search for possible solutions with no luck. I got my iPhone in Asia to be able to have Chinese character input. I am traveling now and it looks like I dont' have a backup file of my outlook.
Is there a way to retrive the contact data from the iPhone Hard Drive?
Need help ASAP.Not sure what happened here, but I'm not aware of an iTunes prompt to sync an iPhone that is connected. Each iPhone includes a preference setting to automatically sync with iTunes when connected - which I recommend turning off. This is selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences. iTunes includes a preference setting to not automatically sync and iPod or iPhone when connected. This is a personal choice, but I prefer manually syncing, or syncing when I want to in case I want to make any changes before my iPhone is synced.
I assume your Father does not maintain a backup of his Address Book data on his Mac, or any other important data? The Address Book application includes a simple and quick backup Address Book option which is important to use when syncing any device, but is important regardless in case a problem arises with the Address Book database.
On your Father's Mac, with the Address Book application quit, go to Home > Library > Application Support > AddressBook.
Within the Address Book folder, move the AddressBook.data file to the Desktop.
Change the name of the AddressBook.data.previous to AddressBook.data or remove the .previous extension from the file name so it is AddressBook.data only.
Cross your fingers and launch the Address Book application. If the Address Book data is not restored, and your Father does not have a backup of his Address Book data, the data is lost. -

Open itunes, cconnect iphone. Itunes should tell you if there is an update avilable or you can click Check for Updates. -

I have migrated all of my music to the new PC, but when I plug the iphone in to sync, it tries to erase everything and set up the iPhone as a new phone on that PC.

I have an iPhone 4s and I connnected my phone to my laptop, which is a macbook pro. This is the second iPhone 4s I have had. The first one had a problem and I had to replace it which is the one I have now. When I connected my phone to the laptop, my phone shut down and when it turned back on, all my information from the first 4s phone went to the phone I have now. All the text messages from the old one, photos, apps, etc. Now my information like messages, photos, apps, etc from the current phone is gone, and I need them. What can I do? How can I get that information back?
Is the MacBook the computer you have synced with in the past? If not you can use the computer that you have synced with to restore your apps. Are you sure you are using the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the Apps?

They should all be on your computer. Just sync them back.

Hello! I'm using Mac Mini & I'm using external HDD (plugged via mini usb cable without power cable). I forgot to unplug my HDD in Finder sidebar menu and just throw out usb cable. When I plugged back my HDD in sidebar I can't see any external HDD icon. I have checked in utility folder --> Disk Utility software - and here is print screen

RobertsI think you have done all you can do at the user level. You will need to get a higher end help from the Genius Bar or a third party data recovery company. At least you can send the HD without losing your machine!!

Sync completes with all data transferred, but never completes - just hangs
When I connect my iPhone by USB, iTunes fires up and my Sync seems to kick off without a hitch. Sync in Progress appears on the screen for as many as 4 hours. If I disconnect after 15-20 minutes of syncing, new programs, appointments, and contacts all appear on the iPhone... but it just won't finish the Sync on its own without me canceling it with a swipe of the iPhone screen.
Any ideas?I haven't had that happen but from other posts I have read, when there is a hang up of any sort with an Apple product, you usually should reset. Don't know if you have done. There are various ways to reset. I would first try holding down both buttons and wait for it to allow you to power down the Iphone.

In hindsight it is unfortunate that you did not go to Menu > Office > File mgr. > Memory card > Options > Backup phone memory (to memory card) prior to reset and after format of memory card!

I have saved all my datas of my old iphone on itunes and icloud. I got a new phone 4s that I connected to itunes in order to load it and sync with my old datas. but I don't konw how but when itunes sync my new iphone i did not take my old datas. at the end of the sync process, I got an iphone totally virgin, but none of my previous apps, neither contact neither calendar neither anything. what happened? did itunes erased all my previous datas?? i hope not but if it's the case, can I recuperate my old datas through icloud? please help because as a lot of us, all my life is in this iphone.. I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.
