I recently changed my apple ID but my previous apple ID is associated with my icloud account. I'm setting up my new iphone 6 and cannot complete the set up until I can sync my icloud account. Does anyone know how to change the icloud id?
Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPhone and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your phone). -
i am on mobileme, my ical are syncing between my two powerbook g4 but are syncing to my iphone4 or ipad, anyone knows of an solution to this issue.

You should ask Apple for help installing their operating system
Yosemite sometimes has problems, often related to "default" permissions needing to be changed

It may seem simple, but restart both devices.
on the iPhone hold the sleep and home button until the phone rests (soft reset), then restart the iTunes app. Then plug the phone back in then sync again. -
I just updated the software on my iPhone to the ios5. I've gotten everything to synce but my ringtones. Does anyone know how to get my ringtones from my iTunes onto my iPhone???

I have an iPad 2 that is about 2 years old and is in good shape. I was trying to swipe off an app when the screen went all white. I held down the power button to shut it down but it wont do any thing but go black. When I press the power button it come back all white with no icons and no passcode pad. Does anyone know how to fix this or what it is?
ThanksTThanks for the suggestion but it turns out that you have to hold down the Home button, the Power button AND the Volume UP button at the same time for several seconds until,the Apple appears To fix the white screen of death. Found that on another help site. It works and boy an I glad. Pass it on.

Neat little spooky "Home" icon gone missing on iPhone. Anyone know about it?
I've had a neat little icon that can be moved around on my Home Page that will take me home at a flick, as well as take me other places I might choose. It was a dark circle with a lighter circle in the center and could be moved anywhere on the face of the iPhone. It was present on all pages and was a real boon. Does anyone know what it is called and how I can get it back?

i keep trying to sync my iphone 4s but it wont finish the sync it keeps getting stuck on "Waiting for changes to be Applied" has anyone had a similar problem? and what should i do ?

After a LOT of research, I found a simple step that solved this issue for me.
I had been running my sync (pre - IOS 7.4) as automatic - see the options section under the summary tab
This can be viewed when you click on your device - right up the top you'll see tabs
SUMMARY / INFO / APPS / TONES / MUSIC / MOVIES / TV SHOWS / BOOKS / PHOTOS etc.
I changed my selection to manually manage music and videos and tried another sync
Wha La!
It began to copy over 700 songs that had not properly synced to my Ipad 2
BONUS: it then started to sync my videos again.
Hope this helps somebody.
It certainly made my life less frustrating
Downside: I have to MANUALLY manage - but it's better than all the hassles
NB: I don't know why this error occurs and I'm not sure this fix will work for everyone's issues but it can't hurt. -
Missing spring-loaded posts, anyone know where I can get some new ones?
About half a year before intel and macs combined my previous mac mini crashed in which after having already an apple care service check up was designated a "User-caused damage" to the mother board. An bug from who knows where some how got into the computer itself probably since the slots on the bottom of it lead directly to the mother board but either way they plain out told me that the Mac was going to cost me 800 dollars to fix. The computer itself costed only 600 dollars back then so we said to them screw it. I was pretty ****** off and I'm pretty sure anyone else would be considering only the motherboard was screwed up and not the hard-drive, memory, or processor which all together would cost the same for a replacement mother board.
Much later bought a mac mini intel and decided since the mac mini I had was broken that I'd work on it to see if I could ever get it working myself. I bought from Mac-pro.com an mother board from their exclusive stock of mac mini parts and found them to have taken off the heat sink. Searching through the older mac mini the apple care service team had removed the spring-loaded posts from the computer and I'm guessing was examining the processor to see if it over-heated or cracked I'm guessing. Well the older mac mini the one I'm trying to fix with the missing spring-loaded post still had the hard-drive attacked on by the silver heatsink gel but ultimately I need to remove the heatsink and transplant it to the newer motherboard and processor of course with the silver gel but I need the spring-loaded posts to keep the heat sink down.
Is there anyone out there that knows of anyplace at all that has the spring-loaded posts needed to keep the mac mini's heat sink down onto the processor?
I looked all over the internet, searched through ebay and stores, and couldn't find it anywhere.
short description of it is more like a spear type screw that once in locks itself down to the mother board with a flat head and a spring around the shaft. The spring presses against the heat sink and pulls up the mother board to keep the heatsink tightly in place.

I am looking to build a solution for a prospective client. I want to use FCP server's file manager to allow remote users to access and obtain content. This arrangement is actually for healthcare solution. I know FCP is used to manage and transfer files, but I am not sure what controls, access, etc are available to make assurances these files are not manipulated.I've been using FCP for a long time and I do not know of "file manager" tool. Are you looking for an evaluation of FCP Server? That's a different forum, not many users of that app here.

Using VISTA and I can't get it convert my PPT. file anyone know how?
I just purchased this two days ago and can't get a response about how to convert a file using vista. I am trying to convert a Power Point file to a PDF it keeps telling me that it don't support the file type. Vista adds an X on the PPT file how can I get around this? Thanks
can you see the wi-fi address in the about? if it show N/A, your iphone needs to be repaired.
if your ios is 5.1.1 or you can see the wi-fi address,you could try to connect your iphone to the itunes to restore and update. -
~~~Lost everything while syncing my iPod touch. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Last month, whenever I clicked on my internet network it said "Unable to Join Network..." I was able to fix that by restoring my iPod. The same thing happened to me today. My iPod was unable to join my network. Sooo I restored my iPod back to factory settings just like I did before. Instead, it deleted my photos contacts and notes. Plus, I still have no network connection. I did sync all my things before I restored my iPod except for my pictures. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Also I already tried to reset the network connections.- Try restoring from backup. That is the only way to get the photos back. First go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and and check the box titled" Prevent iPods..." otherwise when you connect the old backup might be overwritten with the a backup that does not have the photos.
- We are talking about photos taken by or saved to the iPod and not synced photos, right?
