Sync MM & FI Doc Numbers for GR
Hi,
I am able to sync MM & FI Document Numbers for Invoice Receipt (MIRO). I want to have same sync for GR (MIGO) also. Can somebody suggest the way?
I tried following same way what I did for IR (maintaining same number ranges for MM & FI and making FI document numbering external) but that doesn't work for GR (MIGO).

Hi,
You want WE numbering will be same on material/accounting document creation.
Use t.code: OMBT, Click Financial Accounting Number ranges
Example: number range available is 48
4800000000 to 4899999999
Now again back use t.code: OMBT, Click Financial Accounting Document type > click WE > enter number Range 48 in properties TAB & save.
Now use t.code: OMBA
Click Group in menu bar-- > maintain -- > again click Group in menu bar --> Insert
Enter Text as GR Docs
Year u2026u2026From u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026TO
9999u2026u2026.4800000000 u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026. 4899999999
Now Double click WE & select check box of GR Docs and click Element/Group & save
(See the WE is assigned to GR Docs after assigning)
Also need to assign WE document type in MIGO_GR t.code in by using t.code: OMBT by double clicking Goods Receipt Document Type & save.
Now try ur transaction GR.

Impossible to display a Numbers doc in my iPad or iPhone if the file was edited in Numbers for OSX

I've created a Numbers spreadsheet in the Numbers app for iPhone.
Later, I've edited this file with Numbers for OS-X.
Since, I'm no more able to display this file in my iPhone or iPad. Indeed, in Numbers iOS, when I click on the file icon, there is a strange error message displayed (the original message is in French, So, excuse me if the translation is not perfect):
"The spreadsheet can not be imported. An unknowned error occured."
I've tried to duplicate the spreadsheet in Numbers OS-X, change some data, colors, ... but the pb is still there.
Does anyone have an idea ?

I see what you're doing. I just tried going through Dropbox here and I get the English version of your message: "Spreadsheet can't be imported."
I think this may be a Dropbox issue. Dropbox used to display Numbers documents, I think, before the recent Numbers iOS upgrade. They probably need to update their app.
I like Dropbox. But is there a reason you need to use Dropbox for Numbers? Numbers syncs very well now via iCloud (iCloud has gotten a lot better in my experience) so you don't have to fuss with Open in ... and all that, the way you do with Dropbox.
If you want to give iCloud sync a try then on your iOS device you need to make sure it is switched to On in two places:
Settings>iCloud>Documents & Data>Numbers.
Settings>Numbers>Use iCloud.
And on your Mac:
System Preferences>iCloud>Documents & Data>Options>Numbers.app.
With iCloud sync enabled the Numbers documents appear automatically on iOS and you'll be able to see your documents online as well from any modern browser, should you ever need that.
You can still back up your documents outside iCloud. On the Mac they are located in a folder you can reach in Finder by option Go>Library>Mobile Documents>com~apple~Numbers. On iOS you can email them to yourself or send to iTunes.

I use NUMBERS on my MAC to create a password protected document. I share this doc via DROPBOX. Is there any way I can view the doc on my IPAD without purchasing NUMBERS for the IPAD? The doc opened fine on the IPAD before protecting it with a password.
Using the term "opened" may have been incorrect on my part. Before password protection, I simply viewed the doc by selecting it within my DROPBOX app. No revisions could be made, but I could view the doc. Now, with the doc password protected, the IPAD states this file can not be viewed.
The IPAD users guide gives a list of files IPAD can view. Unfortunately, I find no info on how to open/view that file should it be protected. If

Do I only have a certain window of time to register my Apple Service and Support protection plan before it expires? I certainly hope not I paid for it and could never get the serial numbers for product & protection to sync together!
Normally must register an AppleCare plan before the original warranty on the Mac expires. If you have problems registering the AppleCare plan for your MacBook, call Apple tech support and ask to be connected to AppleCare Plan Adminstration.

Numbers for ipad sizes of docs
Hallo, do you know if numbers for ipad do open edit and save an excel file of 1mb?
I do need for my job to fill excel files of this size, so I need to know the chance to do it...
Thanks a lot.Conditional formatting does work in Numbers for both iPad and iPhone, but it involves using MS Excel. Either copy or create your spreadsheet into Excel and create your desired conditional formatting. Then transfer the spreadsheet to either iCloud Numbers or e-mail it to yourself and open it in Numbers on your mobile device. The formatting doesn't completely work in the iCloud Numbers Beta version yet (read further), but it will work in the latest version of Numbers on iPad and iPhone. Here's where it gets interesting: Even though iCloud Numbers Beta doesn't "show" the new cell formatting based on the data within, rest assured the conditional formatting is working in the background. To prove it, make your data updates in iCloud Numbers Beta then open the spreadsheet on your mobile device to see the new formatting. And, even more interesting: The snap shot of the spreadsheet in iCloud Numbers Beta will show the proper cell formatting! So there's definitely something happening on the Numbers Beta server that isn't ported to the iCloud App yet.

Error bars in Numbers for iPad?

One of the reasons I purchased an iPad was to work on the go. For me this means being able to create/edit docs, spreadsheets, and presentations in my iPad and then sync that work with my MBP at work.
I am finding some roadblocks when sharing work between devices (a first for me with Apple).
This specific question has to do with Numbers for the iPad:
- Is there a way to add error bars within Numbers for the iPad?
When I try to import a spreadsheet from Numbers in my computer the error bars get cropped as if they were some unnecessarily fancy font that didn't make it to the iPad version of the software. If there is no way to do this, does anyone know if there are plans to add this capability to the program?
I might be biased, but I have a hard time coming up with occasions when one would not need to add a measure of variability (error bar) to any graphic dispplay of data (save for ninth grade presentations maybe).

iWork for iOS applications are in version 1, and in general provide a subset of the features of the Mac OS versions. Few of the users in this (Numbers) community are familiar with the iPad version, which probably explains the lack of response to yur question in the nine hours since you posted.

I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have numbers synced to iCloud.
I tried to undo it but the app crashed.
I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule.It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.

Document numbering for User Define Object

Anyone know how to use numbering series in UDO?
I've created 3 doc series for the object. one off the series is the default. When i select other doc series on my form, after I add the doc, the series code is captured but the the number is wrong. it took the default number.
eg..
Series A: 1-999 as default
Series B: 1000 -1999
I pick B and add, Series code is ok but the number taken is from series A.

The system is supposed to get the correct number as you would expect. However there is a bug in SAP Business One 2007 A Release.
If you have access to the Note 1266379 you can see the detailed scenario as described by you.
Currently the issue is planned for fixing in February 2009 patch for 2007A. You can check the info.txt file to see if the fix was included.

Retrieve Multiple Serial Numbers for given Delivery Document and Item

I am currently working on a 2Lis datasource to extract Delivery information.Now it is required to append the
datasource with field (say ZZSERNO) which should extract ALL Serial Numbers from OBJK table for a given Delivery Item.
I know that there is a link between table SER01 and OBJK to retrieve the same.However, my concern is- C_T_Data table is
already providing the Delivery Information and along with that I want to display ALL Serial numbers for a given Delivery Item.
A delivery Item can have more that one serial number linked to it as what I see in VL03N for a Delivery document.
So currently in RSA3, I retrieve say 1 record for a given Delivery Document and Item .Now an Item has say 10 Serial Numbers
associated with it, so i should see 10 Records for that Delivery Document and Item, after executing RSA3.

How to create an action to insert hundreds of different numbers for limited edition prints?

I sell limited edition prints of a run of between 350 and 500.
I am trying to get it set up so that my signature and the print number is included as part of the print. Here is an example:
You'll see at bottom left there is my signature and underneath is is the print number e.g. 110/350 (this is legible when printed at 18x12" size).
Inserting the signature and the "/350" is easy since it only needs to be done once per image.
The difficulty comes with inserting the actual print number e.g. "110"
At the moment I have 0 to 9 written out and scanned in as separate numbers. So to make "110" I use the "1" digit twice, plus the "0" digit. I.e. I haven't written out 1 to 500 and scanned them in all as separate numbers, I've just done the 10 digits and use those 10 digits to make all the different numbers I need.
Is there a way to create an action that will create say 350 JPEG copies of the original file, each one with its own unique print number inserted? (And ideally automatically saved with the print number as its file name!)

Edit: This Script just uses the layers’ horizontal bounds for orientation, so it does not address the issue I referred to earlier reagrding aesthetically pleasing spacing of the elements. -
AR Invoice Numbering for Closing
Hi,
When we perform our monthly closing, we sometimes need to post invoices dated in the previous month. For example, on Sept 3rd, we might create an invoice with a posting date of 8/31. Of course due to the legal rules of sales doc #'s continuing sequentially with date, we would have to manually enter doc #'s for any invoices actually posted from the beginning of Sept. Here's my question:
Let's say we want to leave inv # 101-105 open for back dating. In Sept, we manual enter normal inv #'s from 106. It turns out we only use 101-103 for Aug closing. Now there 104 and 105 and still available. We don't want to have to keep manually entering for Sept invoices- we want the system to automatically generate the next available number (108,109,110...). but because of the doc numbering rules, it will always try to grab 104 and 105 and you are not allowed to change the "Next No." for sales docs in the setup.
Anyway around this or suggestions on how to manage document numbering with respect to monthly closing? Thanks.Hi Allen,
You may use A/R Reserve invoice to keep your number available. However, if you question is just reserve the invoice number without any information for the invoice, I am afraid there will be not possible unless you just using manual series.

I have been using Numbers on both iPhone and iPad for a while and have about 8 files stored on iCloud. I have just purchased Numbers for Mac but I do not see any of my files stored in iCloud. I have created a test spreadsheet on my Mac which says it is stored on iCloud when I choose File - Open on my Mac but this test file does not appear on Numbers on iPhone or iPad.
I have tried all what you have suggested but still no luck. I am unable to locate the file Mobile Documents in either the Library folder under Mac HD or Mac HD - System - Library.
If you've set up iCloud properly on the Mac then in your Library there will be a Mobile Documents folder with documents in it:
Everything else syncs absolutley fine such as contacts, mail, notes, pictures etc etc.
Contacts, Mail, etc. sync via another iCloud protocol. For Numbers you need 'Documents & Data' turned on, per the screenshot upthread.
Numbers appears twice under iCloud for some reason though -
Numbers doesn't appear "under iCloud". Numbers uses iCloud to sync. Not sure what your screenshot is showing. On the Mac your Numbers will be here (in Finder):

Why is not option at the same time to save Doc. compatible for microsoft?
So, I work with number or pages. I have all dociuments in MAC format. But then I need to send my doc to somebody who has not a MAC and also APages/numbers.
All I need is export my Doc. to PC compatible- BUT IF I am not at home and use FTP. One way is go home open an Pages Doc inn PAge and export for PC.

Minimized address/numbers for a group
I sync my phone with a group from my address book app. However, I don't need all the phone numbers in the address book for each person synced into my phone. Is there a way to create a group that excludes info from the main entry.
I know how to make and sync groups. The problem is the groups are made of selected entries from the main book that have several phone numbers for each person. I only need a few of them for each in my phone. However I can't find a way to limit the info that is to be synced to the phone. Is that more clear? Thanks for your response.
