Sync multiple Iphones on same pc

Hi All,
It's my first POST here...
Here's the scenario:
My wife's Iphone is synced to her PC (Itunes).
I want to Sync my Iphone using her PC and Itunes.
I've never pluged my Iphone to my wife's PC yet...
What will happen the first time I plug it in?
I don't want my wife's contact, music and all to be synced to MY IPHONE...
I need help on this !

If you have purchased songs or apps from the iTunes store, you can authorize up to 5 additional users to play or use them. You can drag the songs or apps to a USB stick or a DVD (data DVD) and import them into his iTunes. Once you have imported them, you will have to authorize them by entering your iTunes ID and Password.
Also, you can authorize him now, and if you get five better friends or family in the future, you can revoke all authorizations from your iTUnes and start over.

See this support document for help http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495, however, there is no way that iTunes can treat two devices as the same, unless you have the settings in iTunes for the two devices set the same. Each iOS device is identified differently in iTunes. It is how you set iTunes to handle the two devices that can differ.

My wife has reached her limit of storahe on her iphone 4s and needs to put her photos somewhere else to free up space. I currently have my iPhone 4s set up to where it will sync photos via photo stream to my iPhoto library. Is there a way to allow her phone to do the same thing so she can delete them on her phone without losing them? I am using a MBP running OSX Lion v 10.8.4. Thanks

Connect her iPhone to the Mac via it's cable and open iPhoto. iPhoto will indicate how many photos need to be imported and ask to do so. It will also also ask if you want the photos deleted off the iPhone. DO NOT agree at this time.
Make sure the photos are safely in the library. Quit iPhoto and relaunch. iPhoto will recognize the phone and tell you there are no new photos to import. Then tell it to delete

we have 2 iphone 4's synced to the same itunes account for apps and music since the day we bought them, but each has a different icloud acct. they have both been updated on the same itunes account with every update that has come out since we bought them in december of 2010. nothing on either phone has ever been lost or duplicated. having said all that, maybe i'm missing something here, but we have had no problems. we do have itunes setup to sync manually. i do believe i'm a piker compared to lawrence finch, but i'm just telling you what happens in my house. maybe check with apple? is there a store near you?

I work for a small telco and i sync multiple iPhone handsets daily to my iTunes on my work PC, the problem i'm having is when the customer wants there applications transferred to their new handset, I have to sync the applications to my itunes and then put in the customer Apple ID password and transfer the purchases. Then what happens is the customers go to update their applications on there handsets and it comes up with another random apple id to update the app. How can i stop this from happening???

My wife and I share almost everything...so when we purchase apps, we use the same Apple account. We have one account with AT&T with two phones. We also have one account at the apple store and charge everything to a specific credit card that has a very low monthly ceiling. This allows us to download the apps to our iphones from different computers. When I buy an app or download a free one, she logs in with our account and is eligible to download the app too. I think it is OK with Apple but have not read the fine print of the agreement.

No, there is no install/uninstall with an iPhone.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When syncing iTunes content and transferring photos with another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
You can sync multiple iPhones and/or iPods with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on a single computer. There is no limit for the number of iPhones and/or iPods that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on a single computer.

The only difference I can think of adding is that if you want to use the 1 computer with multiple iPhones but want EACH iPhone to sync different information would be best if each iPhone user syncing had their own User Profile for the computer.
Other than that, basically yeah. No real limitation to the # of iOS Devices connected to 1 computer

So my wife and I each have an iPhone running iOS 7.0.3 (11B511), she has an iPad (iOS 7, but unsure of the exact release), and my son has an iPod (also iOS 7, but unsure of the exact release). I've also have a Mac mini running Mac OS X 10.9 (13A603) with Server 3.0 (13S440) and iTunes 11.1.3 (8) 64-bit. I'd like us each to be able to sync any of our devices via WiFi when we're at home. We each have accounts on the server with thier own iTunes Libraries and associated with thier own iTunes Store accounts.
I've seen posts that explain how to sync multiple devices to a single account with a single library, and I've seen posts that explain how to sync different devices to different libraries under different users when each is the only user running iTunes at the time. Is there a way to allow each user to sync whenever they please without having to have the other users log out of iTunes, log themselves in, and then sync?
It sounds like, from what I've learned so far, that multiple users running iTues is not (or at least used to not) be enough to make this work. I'm looking for a definitive answer here though, not a guess that it can't be done based on previous versions or speculation. If you're not sure but want to share your thoughts and theories only, please indicate as much in your response. Thanks.

For #2, itunes doesn't have the capability to monitor folders for new content. You'll need to get something like the free program 'itunes folder watch'.

Hello community. Just had a few questions about my iphone and my wifes. I have had an iphone for almost a year now and have had my login email address and password set up since the beginning. I have the iphone 4. My wife today received her iphone 4s in the mail. I also currently have my iphone set up on the cloud to sync my contacts and calendar. We also have an ipad 2 which is set up through the cloud and I am the only person who uses this for work purposes. One of the main questions I have is how can I sync her iphone and mine using the same iTunes account on our Mac book we have and at the same time not have every purchase or app downloaded onto both phones? I use a few apps for work which she doesn't want but if she was to sync with the cloud or itunes she doesn't want to constantly delete the app or un-select it from syncing to her phone. Also we do enjoy playing some of the same games especially against each other but is ther a way for her to have her own seperate login for either downloading apps or a different login for getting into the game center? Also since we share the same wi-fi network at home is there a way to make it so that when I get home or she gets home and had downloaded apps while away that they don't automatically get sent to each other's phones or the iPad which I use for work? We have 3 iPhones (2 3GS, 1 3G) that sync with iTunes on one computer using the same iTunes account. Every once in a while, after one iPhone syncs the next iPhone to sync gets the contacts from the first iPhone. So my wife and daughter both sync contacts with separate Yahoo address books. When my daughter synced her iPhone last night, iTunes synced with my wife's address book. My daughter lost all of her contacts. We got them all restored from the backup so we were able to recover. When we later looked at the contacts configuration, iTunes was using my wife's address book with my daughter's iPhone. Is this a bug in iTunes?

Your best option is to set up multiple user accounts, one for each member of the family, and enable Fast User Switching to avoid this.
The iPhone will sync with only one Address Book hence the reason you keep overwriting each others' data.

You can sync multiple iPods and/or iPhones with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer - there is no device limit, and each iPod and/or iPhone can have its own sync preferences with iTunes. IMO, it is best to disable automatic syncing when an iPod or iPhone is connected so you can confirm the sync settings for each iPhone when connected before syncing.
