Sync music bought on IPad to desktop

I have bought a lot of music from my IPad but I dont know how to sync that music from the IPad to the desktop library

Hello, welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
First off, have you used your iPad with your computer before? If the device is set up to work with the computer already, you can simply plug in and sync the iPad to syncronize the new information. Everything will be moved to iTunes automatically, where it can be accessed and used on your PC.
Hope this helps!

Thank you SO SO much!  I just bought my ipad mini on Friday afternoon and then proceeded to spend 3 hours on the phone with apple trying to get my music to synch.  We were not successful.  I was very disappointed but am the type of person that doesn't give up so I did a search and found your answer and it worked!  I can now cancel my appointment at the apple store and enjoy my ipad.
    Thank you again so much.

  • How do I sync music from my iPad into my iTunes library?

So I just got a new Mac, and just recently I decided to use iTunes to download new music into my iPhone and iPad. This Mac has no music in iTunes, and just now I changed my iphone option from sync automatically to "manually manage music and videos." With this, I had to erase all my music off of my iPhone. I still have all my music in my iPad downloaded from a different laptop, so how do I sync that music into my iTunes library to later put into my iPhone?

You need to transfer the music into iTunes first. If the music was purchased from iTunes, you can just download it again for free as long as you use the same ID that you bought it with.
You also need to make this make your syncing Mac. This user tip describes how you can accomplish this. Read it completely before you do anything.

  • I have an Ipad 2 and an Iphone 4s. I can sync musics to the iPad, but not to the iPhone. Am I doing something wrong?

    Here's the thing:
I first bought an iPad 2, it works fine with the iTunes. But since i bough my iPhone 4s, i've been able to sync, books, documents and even the apps, but not the musics. It's strange because with the iPad i sync musics all the time, but for some reason my iPhone doesn't sync musics.
Does anyone knows what to do?
    Thanks!

You repeated your statement in the description area which should be used to provide additional information about your problem. That's really not that helpful for us who are trying to help you.
When you are directed back to the setup screen, are you able to enter any information at all? If you can, does it let you move on to the next screen? Can you do anything at all? Details, please.

  • Itunes says my computer is no loger authorized to play/sync music bought on my account. Suddenly is not recognizing updated email address.

Late last year (I believe) I updated the email on file for my itunes account, so that the one on file would be my most up-to-date current email. I have had no problems until now, when, trying to sync my most recently purchased music album to my ipod, a pop up happened saying that my computer was no longer authorized to play music bought with this account, yada-yada, and unless I signed it and r-authorized it, 400+ songs would be removed from the ipod. The original address was what appeared auto-filled. It obviously doesn't work, and while I was able to sign in (multiple times) with my current one, it wouldn't do anything. It IS the same account... when I went to the account page, I could even pull up a list of all the purchases made since 2007. And of course the apple/itunes tech "help" is crap, and I can't get assistance without PAYING the idiots 29$. Any input? As far as I can tell, those tracks were taken off my ipod, as I couldn't DO anything without another popup happening again and again and again, until I just exited out of it enough times.

That helped a lot, and authorized a few hundred that weren't authorized before. I still have 60, however, that are unable to be authorized.
It asks me to login to my AOL account, which is different from my Apple account. For some reason, that won't work either. Is there a way to link the two together?

  • Syncing Music on my IPAD to ITunes on my Computer

My computer had to be formated and now I want to know if it is possible to sync my music on my IPAD to my ITunes account on my computer. (Windows 7)
    Thanks DebsB

To drag and drop you have to use the Manual Method. That method is included here:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Was the iPod set up by wifi or setup or synced to another computer/iTunes library?

  • HT1386 How do I sync music from my iPad to my new iPhone?

How do I sync music, notes, calendar from my iPad to my new iPhone? Not having success with iCloud for some reason.

You can sync content like music using iTunes as the vehicle in order to transfer content from one device to another. This support artcile might be helpful. You can sync and transfer purchases from the iPad and then sync the phone by setting up the sync preferences in iTunes for the phone.
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
You can also download the music to the phone from the purchased tab in iTunes - on the phone, but it goes much quicker of you sync the content from iTunes.
If you want to sync notes, calendar entries using iCloud, and assuming that you have iCloud enabled on both devices, make sure that you turned these items on in the settings in Settings>iCloud>Calendars>On and the same for notes. You have to have an iCloud email account in order to sync this content unless you are syncing via your email account and that would have to be set up as well in Settings>Mail, contacts and calendars.

  • I cannot sync music to my iPad

I just got an iPad 2. I am trying to sync my iTunes music library to my iPad. I was able to sync my apps, mail acounts, pocasts, and books but not any music. I have tried repeatedly with no success.  I select sync music then selected playlist, albums, artists, and so forth. Nothing happens.  Why?
    Jere

I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
    Thanks for the effort

  • I upgraded to iTunes 11 today. I am not able to sync music to my iPad anymore. How do I fix this?

I upgraded to iTunes 11. But I can't sync music anymore onto my devices. How can I fix this? I need help!

I did not upgrade to the newest version of Itunes on my PC.  I just now went to my Library were Music is listed. Under that is Movies, TV Shows, ItunesU, etc.  When I opened my music list, each song was in numerical order.   If I have the songs listed alphabetically, they are in numerical order.  If I change my listing to album or whatever, the first song is listed in numerical order just as I showed in my original question.  They are also numbered on my Playlists.  I have my favorites in two different playlists.  One of them was minus a song.  I was able to see which one was missing because they were in numerical order.  I know I could have just copied to correct one into the incorrect one and just skipped the duplicates, but I chose to do it this way.
So, the songs are listed numerically in my music folder under Library on my older version of Itunes.  But, on my newer version, they are not listed numerically under music.  Maybe I'm doing something wrong?????
Thanks so much for your help.  I wish they would just leave things alone.  I would gladly go back to the older version on my other computer, but????
    Again thanks.

  • How to sync music bought with an old apple id with a mobile me icloud

I migrated from mobile me to icloud using my mobile me account (which is different to my itunes apple id account) and I can sync pictures, contacts and ical via the cloud to my mac, iphone and ipad using the mobile me @me.com id. All devices are signed in with the mobile me @me.com log in.
However, my purchased music won't sync when i buy it with my itunes apple id. Do I have to re-sign into icloud using my old apple id to sync it all? If so what happens to pictures and ical.
I started off by creating an account using my old apple id on the iphone (which prompted me to create an entirely new me.com address), but I changed it to the @me.com log in and deleted it from the iphone because it would not sync pictures etc.
I think I did something wrong at he very start due to the confusing prompt for an apple id when creating the original icloud account.
    Any help appreciated

You should continue to use your itunes account ID for iTunes and your iCloud ID for syncing services such as calendar et al.
If you want your iYunes purchases to download to all your devices, check automatic downloads in settings > store on you iOS devices and iTunes preferences > Store in iTunes on your mac/PC.

  • ITunes won't sync music to my iPad

iTunes won't transfer all the music from my computer to my iPad. The sync starts, it transfers about 500 of 2500 songs, then just stops.
I have tried disconnecting wifi, reinitialising the iPad and practically every other tip I could find on this forum: no joy.
Just seems incredible that the music I have (mostly) paid for on iTunes won't sync from one device to another. Are Apple trying to get me to pay for iTunes Match?!
Thanks in advance for your help...

I don't use and never have usediTunes Match, I almost never buy music from iTunes, and I can sync all of music just fine - purchase and imported from CD's.
Have you tried syncing with the cable if you are using WiFi? Do you have enough storage space on the iPad? Could it be that the sync stops in the same place very time indication a corrupt song or album? Have you tried syncing the music in bits and pieces - simply as a troubleshooting step?

  • Syncing music to iphone/ipad music seems to transfers but does not appear in my music file.

Basically im having the same issue with both my ipad and my iphone.
i've had to recently restore both as i had a lot of 'other' files taking up the space.
i also wanted to sync my music via itunes and my mac rather than via the cloud as
there is an option to compress the files to take up less space. basically time and time again
i have synced the entire library to both the ipad and iphone using all the different combinations of the options
i can think of. I.e manually manage music and videos, 128, 192, 256 kbps and at the end the same thing always happens.
after the sync while i have the phone or pad still connected to the itunes all the music appears to be on the device and i can play it through my macbook.
as soon as i disconnect my phone or pad and go to the music player only about a quarter of the tracks appear to be on there.
does anybody know whats going wrong here?

Let's see, if I were having this problem, I would....log out of iCloud on all, reset them all (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go), then log back in to iCloud and see if that resolves it. Best of luck and let me know if it works.
