5 days since my ipod does not want to sync music from my mac?
How do I have to do?

Just a reminder that before you sync music to your ipod, first go to "music" in ipod menu when connected in iTunes, then check if "sync music" is selected. If not, select accordingly then perform the sync again. Cheers!

You need to select the songs on the iPod (in iTunes) and hit Delete.
Since you are Manually managing, Apply doesn't do anything to Music on the iPod.

Yes, I do that each time, but it makes no difference. I've had an iPhone with music on for ages, and this issue only happened when I update to iTunes 11 earlier on in the year.

So I have all my music (CD Ripped and iTunes Store purchased) on an iMac at home. I sync a shuffle, nano, video and touch with it. Works great with playlists..
Now, I have a MBP that I use for work and have been downloading podcasts to iTunes. Can I use one of my iPods (thinking of the Nano), to sync ONLY the music from the home iMac, and ONLY the podcasts from the work MBP?

Okay, I said what the ****, and connected the Nano to my MBP.. A breeze, I told it not to sync anything.. Went to the Podcast tab, and told it to sync and overwrite everything.. Seems to work perfectly.. Now lets see what happens when I connect it back to my iMac.. I think I just have to disable the syncing of the podcasts...

Sorry. What do you mean? Are you trying to add music from your library to someone else's phone? What message do you get when you try to sync the music to the phone?

Synced music from my Mac to my new IPad

When I open ITunes on the IPad it appears I am being requied to download every song before it will play. What gives????

If the music is in your iTunes library - sync to iTunes. Have you synced music or anything yet?
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Click on you iPad's name on the left side of iTunes under Devices. Click on the Music Tab at the top of the iTunes window on the right. Select the songs, playlists, albums, etc. that you want on the iPad. Make sure you also select (put a checkmark) Sync Music heading at the top - click apply then sync.
This should work, but if you still have problems - and you shouldn't unless there is an underlying problem with your iPad - try restarting the iPad as well.

First post for me I have just updated ipad to ios8 and now I can't sync music from my Mac to it witch is running latest itunes it starts to sync then stops straight away with no info why as anyone got any ideas please?

Hey guys, I have home shared before between our computers, but for some reason today it is not giving me the option. I have quit and re-opened itunes ten times, and it is still not cooperating. I have turned one and off home sharing, like ten times, and I have reactivated both computers for my devise.

Is both computer on the same local network?
Is both computer iTunes authorize with the same AppleID (iTunes menu Store)?
Is Mac iTunes menu Advanced > Turn On Home Sharing, On? (Same AppleID again)

How to sync iPhone music from 2nd Mac? (don't read this if you own 1 Mac)

If you don't own two Macs, please don't try answering this post with guesses. I need to find someone with real world experience to solve this problem:
My contacts and Calendar are on my laptop. My music and videos are on a Mac Pro. I have disabled automatic sync on both Macs. I have unchecked music and video on the laptop and unchecked the contacts and calendar on the Mac Pro, yet everytime I sync to the laptop, it deletes my entire music library without warning. With video, it gives me a warning when I uncheck but no choice other than to delete video or use what's on the laptop.
There seems to be no way to keep the music and video that I sync-loaded from the Mac Pro.
Interestingly, when I do sync to the Mac Pro, it leaves the contacts and calendars from the laptop alone.
So how do I achieve the same for syncing music and video from one machine only without the other erasing it.
Please don't guess at solutions here. I want to get an answer from someone who has actually succeeded in doing this.

I absolutely am not trying to combine two iTunes library! I thought this was clear so allow me to clarify in no uncertain terms.
Mac Pro contain all my music and video media.
Laptop contains all my contacts and calendar.
Both iTunes have the automatic sync disabled.
The Mac Pro boxes for music and video are checked and none other.
The laptop boxes for contacts and calendar are checked and none other.
In another post, "Qsilver" says it will work, but my experience (and other folks experience) is that when I go to the laptop, all media files are dropped even though the media is unchecked on that machine.
Apparently the jury is still out on whether this can be done or not, so I'm leaving this post open for further discussion.

iTunes will only sync with Apple devices. You may find when you plug in your player it appears on hte desktop as another drive. You can drag files from iTunes to that drive. You may need to then place them in a special folder but all this is something for you to research since players differ. We use a Sansa Clip and a RCA player with our iTunes library and that how we do it.
Make sure your player can play the format files you have in your collection. Our slightly older players will not play AAC which is the standard format used by the iTunes Store. If you find that to be the case you will have to convert formats.

I definitely understand wanting to clean up your iTunes library. There are a few resources I recommend looking at.
Firstly, if you wanted to continue with your existing library, you can identify duplicates in iTunes following these steps:
Choose File > Display Duplicates to show duplicate items (matches are based on the song name and artist). If you have multiple versions of the same song (for example, live and studio versions, or versions from different albums) you can hold the Alt or Option key (for Mac OS X) or the Shift key (for Windows) and choose File > Display Exact Duplicates. This will show only duplicate songs having the same name, artist, and album.
If you are using iTunes 11 (the latest version of iTunes at this time), you will need to go to View>Show Duplicate Items (you can hold Alt or Option here as well to get the Show Exact Duplicate Items option). You can find the full article here:

Got an Android LG Volt cell, anyone know how I can share music from my Mac to it? Every time I connect the phone by USB cable, it charges it, but the phone never shows up on the desktop or in finder. I can't figure out how to give it some music. Even tried the help and support from the Cellphone company, nothing there.

Close iTunes. It has no ability to sync a non-Apple phone.
Then look in your iTunes Media folder to see the song files, and handle them in accordance with the instructions that came with your phone.

I want to sync music from my PowerBook G4 to my Ipod Generation 7 but it says i need to update the Powerbook but the Powerbook says there is no updates plus i need to update Itunes but its not working.

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
