Sync music has become un-ticked in iTunes.

when clicking syncmusic I get a warning that it will wipe our iphones contents. How can we prevent thsi as we dont want to have to set up 2 iphones worth of very different music selections again?

It was because I had switched to "manually manage music" and forgotten about it

  • Sync music ratings from iPhone 4 to iTunes/mac in iOS 6

  • My music has become garbled

My collection of Itunes has become intermittently garbled when I play it back.
I've checked connections for speakers, etc without any change.
    Any ideas

Actually it is - but for a very short time. If the OP is quick, before Apple stops signing 5.0.1, he/she can download the 5.0.1 image directly and use Option+Restore to load it on the phone. I did this to downgrade my iPhone 4 from 5.0 to 4.3.5 when I saw the problem with incoming calls not displaying contact names for contacts stored with country code.
This is the only supported way of downgrading. This was for example available to iPhone 3G users some time ago when it was discovered that the first release of iOS 4 was so slow on the 3G that the phone was almost unusable for some.
Having said this, Apple may already have stopped signing 5.0.1 so downgrading may not no longer be possible. 4.3.5 was available only for a few days after the release of 5.0.
Keep also in mind that Option+Restore wipes the phone and restoring a 5.1 backup will not be possible, so the phone has to be set up as a new phone.

  • The iTune music has become to expensive in Norway.

Apple´s new price politics is bad for their business. I am now using other vendors with lower prices when ever possible. Happily there are severeal alternatives.

Correct - and this time Apple is the looser.

  • Problem syncing music on my ipod touch4th from itunes

hello, I have an ipod touch bought in december 2011. It has always been working fine with itunes, my last transfer of music was on 10th of December. I've tried to transfer more music from itunes manually (uploaded three cds on itunes) on to the ipod but the music shows grayed up with a little circle in front of the track.
So to summarize, music is transferred on ipod but is not accessible or playable, even though it shows up on ipod but grayed. I tried to delete an older track which was fine and re transfer it and it's appeared back on but grayed. My itunes version is 11.1.3. Have you heard of similar issues? I'm not sure what to do about it, if it's anything to do with the mavericks update? Also when doing it on iphone 4, it works fine.
    thanks for your help.

  • How do I sync music from my iPad into my iTunes library?

So I just got a new Mac, and just recently I decided to use iTunes to download new music into my iPhone and iPad. This Mac has no music in iTunes, and just now I changed my iphone option from sync automatically to "manually manage music and videos." With this, I had to erase all my music off of my iPhone. I still have all my music in my iPad downloaded from a different laptop, so how do I sync that music into my iTunes library to later put into my iPhone?

You need to transfer the music into iTunes first. If the music was purchased from iTunes, you can just download it again for free as long as you use the same ID that you bought it with.
You also need to make this make your syncing Mac. This user tip describes how you can accomplish this. Read it completely before you do anything.

  • How do I sync music on iPad *back* to an iTunes library on a Mac?

    Dear folks,
My iPad has an assortment of (legal!) music on it from a variety of sources, manually transferred in. I'd like to port that back to a single library in iTunes on my desktop Mac so that I have a backup of my music library as it exists on the iPad in case of loss (heaven forbid) or having to reset the iPad (which has already happened once!)
Is there a way to do this, either with the normal iTunes tools or via an app from the App Store?
    thanks!

  • Syncing music from iPhone 5S to PC iTunes

I have had iTunes for a decade and taken it from computer to computer. My latest iPhone has more than 6000 songs on it from the original syncing. Now the iTunes library on my PC AFTER "back up" and "manual backup" only shows about 500 songs. The iPhone has remained unaffected. How can I get EVERYTHING off my iPhone and onto my PC?

I can't seem to get my ipod touch (2nd Gen) to sync with my itunes library.  Had Trouble installing itunes 10.6.1 and abandoned the effort on main computer for now (out of FRUSTRATION!!!)  and instead tried to sync with my sons computer.  It wiped the ipod (expected that) but now when I try to sync for music it only downloads a few songs.  HELP!!!!  Please???  Get the message that sync could not be completed because sync failed to start.  I really can't afford to pay these guys to help with a product that should work so any help would be appreciated.

Hi, all my music and video files are being read as "other" on the ipod panel on itunes.
I also can't listen to/ view them on the iPod itself.

  • ITunes is not allowing me to sync music

Hello! I was looking for help and ended up here.
When attempting to sync music to my iPod Touch through iTunes, iTunes tells me that I need to wipe the music entirely from my device before I can do this. I am attempting this on a new computer, and this is not the first computer I have synced to. If at all possible, I would like to avoid continuing to sync my iPod to the old computer (it takes a minimum of 15 minutes just to boot, then another 10 to pull up iTunes and get the sync going). Is there any possible way to sync to my new computer?
    Specs:
Old Computer - Dell Inspiron, Windows XP
New Computer - ASUS Transformer Book T100, Windows 8.1
iPod Touch - Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, iOS 7.1
iTunes has been updated and the new computer is authorized to my iTunes account. I am not attempting to switch iTunes accounts in any way, and all 3 devices are attached to the same account.
    Thanks!!

Thanks for taking the time to respond and for doing it so quickly!!
Oh wait, that article is incorrect for what I need it for. I probably should've clarified. I still have the old computer, but I don't want to have to continue using it.

  • When I try to sync music from iTunes playlist to my Ipod shuffle it says the iPod is synced to a different liabrary.  It asks if I want to delete the music already on the Ipod and sync it to "this" library.  I don't want to lose the music already on Ipod.

Please help.  I have no idea why this is happening and I'm kinda new to using iTunes.  I'm trying to sync music from a playlist on my iTunes account onto my iPod Shuffle (older Shuffle).  I use Windows XP on my laptop.  When I try moving the songs to the iPod it says the iPod is synced to another library.  I didn't know I had another library (but I guess it is possible because I used iTunes a few years ago too).
The only option I get is to delete the music already on the iPod and sync the iPod to "this" library.  I really don't want to lose the music already on the iPod.  PLEASE HELP.  I'm tech challenged to say the least.
