Sync music onto ipod
I put all my music that is on my ipod from a computer in Australia and I was able to put all of it on itunes on my computer here, but now I can't seem to sync new songs onto it and take off the songs I don't want.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
What do you mean by not working?
Did you successfully sync to the computer/iTunes library last time you synced the iPod?

My itunes wont sync music onto ipod
itunes wont sync music onto ipod because the file/disk could not be read or written...help me pleasee i just want my music onto ipod.. all the music is still on my itunes and i have like 300 songs but its wont go onto my ipod!!!!
You can only drag and drop if you have iTunes configured to manually manage music. With the iPod connected to the compute go to the Summary pane for the iPod and check the box under Options that says sync only checked songs and videos.

Trying to sync music onto iPod but iTunes 11 keeps crashing
I am trying to sync my entire iTunes library music onto iPod but iTunes 11 keeps crashing (using Windows 8 laptop)
I have tried to do it manually in little chunk and also tried the auto sync method too.
I have restored my ipod to factory setting 12 times now and retry but just when I think I'm getting somewhere iTunes freezes in the middle of the sync and then tell me it "cannot copy because of unknown error (-50)"
From then on my Ipod refuses to accept any more syncing, it may do one and then it freezes again, iTunes says there is an issue with iPod, so I run a scan fix, it is repaired but then iTunes wants me to "restore to factory settings" again, it's a never ending circle, I get it fixed, iTunes crashes and then I have to fix, restore and start all over again just to have the same thing happen all over again
I have read here and there that there seems to be a bug in iTunes 11 when it comes to syncing.
I don't know what else to do, except revert back to iTunes 10 but I don't know how to do that either.
Anyone else had same issue syncing their library over to their iPod and how I fix it?Hi, ktchinagirl.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
There are a couple reason this issue could be happening. I have included a couple troubleshooting resources below that may help resolve this issue. Some of the articles are missing the steps for Windows 8, try the steps for Windows 7 as an alternative.
iTunes: May become unresponsive when connecting iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3219
Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. An incorrectly set default packet size can cause this error. Contact the software manufacturer that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows:How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

This could be related to security software conflicts. If the steps above have not resolved the issue, I would recommend going through the troubleshooting steps in the article below.

ITunes freezes when syncing music onto iPod after restoring
I have an iPod Touch 4th generation. This thing has become my life, but it has given me ungodly amount of problems since the day I got it. It is updated and always remains that way. Well, due to the amount of problems I had I decided to start fresh and restore my iPod. It seemed to work which was great. I slowly built things back onto it: first all my apps, then photos and onto music. When it came to my music, iTunes would seem to freeze on one song and stop syncing. This has gotten very frustrating for me.
Am I doing anything wrong? I mean, I restored it completely thinking that it would be fine and act as a new iPod again. Obviously I was very wrong.Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

A while ago i went to sync music onto my Ipod Touch. Not only did the computer erase my music i had no idea how to get it back I contacted Apple on the phone but the name was american and i found it really hard to understand him. How do i get it back! i bought most of my music on itunes but i just dont have any idea where to go and whjat to do can any help me??
Respond please!Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if you can redownload your past music purchases (those that are still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded, then have you not got it on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

I can't sync music onto my iPod touch after restoring
I have just restored and updated my iPod touch and now my music won't sync onto it. The music is still in my iTunes library and the "Sync music" box is ticked but the music will not sync onto my iPod.
My apps are no longer in my iTunes library to sync onto my iPod. My photos are still on the device and the wifi settings are still the same.
I have tried restoring and syncing my iPod touch again a few times and I get error message -54.
Please help me :-(I can't find an iTunes error -54 anywhere, even from Google.
I would try:
Placing the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restoring. The iPod will be erased by recovery mode.
Place in DFU mode and then restore.

How do I sync my music onto an old iPod when my music is located on iTunes match? I have connected the iPod to my mac but it indicates no music to sink (as my music is stored in the cloud). I assume there is a simple way to resolve without downloading all music onto my mac as this would be ridiculous?
Any halp with this would be excellant.
Thanks :PHi,
Your old pod can only sync with music that is physically in your itunes library and on your hard drive. Therefore there is simple way to resolve is to download your music to your hard drive.

Why can't I sync music onto my iPod?
I have the 3rd Generation iPod Nano. I've had it for a little over a year, so I'm very familar with how to work it, etc. I've been trying to days now, to add more music to my iPod, but, for some reason, I'm unable to. I'll connect my iPod through the USB Port and my iPod screen will stay stuck on, "Connected. Eject before disconnecting." I've gone under "File" to see if I can click on, "Sync *My name*'s iPod", but that option isn't given. I'll click on "My Devices", and I'll click on "Sync", but it won't sync. I've gone onto the Apple website and I've tried the "5 Steps of Troubleshooting" numerous times, and nothing's working. I have no idea what's wrong with it. What could be wrong with it?
Just as an F.Y.I., my iPod's warranty ended ten days ago as of today. My sister also uses this laptop to sync her iPod Touch.Sure you don't have the iPod set to manage the music manually?
You can check by going to the 'summary' page and you will see the option to:
"manually manage music". Is that selected?
If you want to auto sync your music etc, you need to click on the 'music' tab, where you will see the option to:
"sync music" with either "all songs and playlists" or "selected playlists". -

Syncing Music on Ipod onto Itunes
I have recently put some of my dad's music onto my iPod. I am wondering how i can now upload that music on my iPod onto my iTunes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If you have wireless in your house your best bet is to go computer to computer, or back up the music you want from his computer to a DVD and then retrieve it on your computer. If you want to recover it from your computer, see the post from Zevoneer in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5209955
