Sync my Mac Mini to my iPhone 4

Can I sync my Mac Mini to my iPhone 4, remotely using home sharing? Basically I want to be able to sync music, movies, and audio books to my iPhone without having to dig round the back of my computer for my apple cabble. I want to know if its possible and how I would do it.

I upgraded my MBP to Mac Mini
That's an upgrade? Oh well, wrong forum for that discussion.
and now Iphone 4 won't sync. I used migration assistant to transfer my settings and I can plug the iphone into the new mac mini and it will charge but it won't show up in itunes or sync or appear on the desktop. It still syncs just fine with the macbook pro but I am selling that soon and need to get the phone in sync with the new computer. Any ideas? Your help will be appreciated.
Try going to the top bar in iTunes, Store and Authorize this computer if you have not. You'll want to deauthorize the MBP before selling it.
Not sure this will solve your problem, though.

How do I restore NOTES that were deleted during an itunes sync from Mac mini to iPhone 5?

I should mention that my notes were not being sent to icloud, my mac's time machine was not set up, and my latest back-up was 3 months ago.
I know, I know, very silly on my part. I've changed all this going forward...

  • IPad Mini Won't Sync With Mac Mini (ios 8.1 OSX 10.6.8)

Problem : IPad Mini connects to iTunes OK, can be seen in iTunes and I can select which movies to sync to it etc.  When I hit the "apply" button after making a change (ie deleting or adding a movie) the sync lasts just a second then the "sync" button remains greyed out, and I can't make them sync.

You're supposed to download the latest iTunes from Apple official site and install it on your Mac.

  • How can I bandle Mac-mini Ipad and Iphone all with the same usser name and password

I alway's have problem with my ID AND PASSWORD  also I want to bandle my mac-mini Ipad and Iphone with the same password and usser name how do I do tyhis?

    Hola amigo
If you wish to use the same Apple ID for all your Apple devices then you need to set them up that way from the start. If you did not use the same Apple ID for them all then you would need to erase the iOS devices by returning them to the factory settings and starting over as if they were new.
However, content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to download or update your content bought with one Apple ID with a different Apple ID. So you would need to decide if your are abandoning extra Apple IDs that you may have created and the content that you acquired with that Apple ID.

  • I want to stream audio from my mac mini to my iphone. Possible?

I have an early 2011 Mac Mini and an iPhone 5. I want to stream all audio from the mini to the iPhione as if the iPhone was a set of headphones plugged into the audio out jack. I do not want to be limited to iTunes. For example, I want the audio from Netflix playing in Chrome, or you tube videos. Basically turning the iPhone into wireless headphones.
I downloaded Airfoil to attempt this but my iPhone never shows up anywhere. On the iPhone, no source shows up. This is wifi on and bluetooth paired for good measure.
    Any other ideas?

Ok, thanks for letting me know
Though I find it a bit misleading to say you can stream what you want to any device around the house.. Why would I want to sit in another room playing music in another, I can't exactly carry my mac around the house.
If you don't want to store loads of music or films on your phone or ipad that couldn't store all what I've got on my mac I'd say that would be the most useful feature, so you can play it on another device.
I live and work in a bar and sometimes DJ or just like to just pump music round the bar without messing about taking stuff on and off my ipad.
There just seems to be a lot of needless limitations, like you can't even get all the content you would watch ether... When you can get everything on a laptop and plug it into a TV and watch what you want and have a 500 to 1tb hard drive on it.
I really like the idea's their coming up with but their not quite there yet.
I often wonder why they just don't do a Full HD TV with a mac inside it and doubles up as a stereo and you can just stream everything from it.
    Maybe in the future.
    Cheers

  • Will 1.86ghz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini run the IPhone SDK?

I kinda asked this as a follow up in another thread. But I really should have asked it in a separate thread here.
Will a 1.86ghz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini run the IPhone SDK?
Additionally, it comes with 10.4 and IPhone needs 10.5.4 or better. Can I download and upgrade to 10.5.4 free from Apple or will I have to purchase the upgrade?
    Jerry

The hardware is more than sufficient. You will have to buy 10.5 (Apple does not have upgrade pricing).

  • How can I connect my iphone 4 and my mac mini, running mountain lion, so that I can airplay music to my mac mini from my iPhone?  Or, is this not possible?

Just trying to stream music from my iphone to my mac mini speakers.  Any way I can do that in a similar way that I can do it via applte tv?

    No.
Since all music on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on the Mini if that is the Mac you sync your iPhone with, play the music from iTunes on your Mini through the Mini speakers. If the music is in your iTunes library on another Mac, set up Home sharing to play the music in your iTunes library on another Mac with iTunes on your Mini.

  • I can not transfer information from my Mac Mini  to my iPhone five

Re syncing  calendar from Mac Mini to iPhone 5:   If I enter an event on my Mac Mini Calendar it does not transfer to my iPhone.  It works fine from my iPhone to my Mac Mini.  My i phone is using iOS 7.1.2.  My Mini's op sys is 10.9.4.  I have tried changing the settings on my phone, in my iCloud account and on my Mini.  I've become a bit confused.  Can you tell me what is wrong and how to fix it.  Chuckle, or tell me it can't be done.  Thanks, Bill Page

  • IPod Touch 2g won't charge battery or sync to Mac Mini

Until yesterday charging and syncing worked normally. No changes or updates have been made to the touch or mini. Now it won't charge the battery or sync to iTunes.
    I have tried the following:
    1. Tried 3 different sync cords and all 4 usb ports on the Mac Mini (running OSX 10.5.6), no luck
    2. Tried another iPod Touch 2g and an iphone 3g and no luck.
    3. Tried the Touch on another computer we have, a cube, and all is well, works as it should.
    4. Have restarted the Mini, no luck
    5. Ran DiskWarrior on the Mini and all green, no red, i.e., mini ok.
    6. Referring to 5. above, while running DiskWarrior (of course booted from a flash drive with mini system) the iPod Touch starting showing it was charging??? After returning to the main system, no charging.
    7. To repeat, all worked as it should up until yesterday.
    Thanks for any help

Since your USB ports appear to be working, the problem appears to be a communication issue between the touch and iTunes.
There is one piece of software that controls communications with iTunes and your touch/iPhone - Apple Mobile Device Services. The linked article discusses how to remove and reinstall it.

  • Ipod sync with mac mini

I have a mac mini runnung 10.4.7 and would like to know if I can run my 20G click wheel ipod AND my 8G Nano from the same profile on iTunes with out getting errors???
    Any help/Info would be great...
Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

There are a few ways to connect your two iPods to a single library. You can choose the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" (Sync Music - Selected playlists in iTunes 7) for the Nano. This would allow you to create a playlist specifically for the Nano and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other larger iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod Nano (around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB). You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
Another option is to set one or both iPods to manual update and drag whatever you like to them: Managing content manually on iPod

  • Syncing an Mac Mini with a Macbook Pro Over Wifi

I'm setting up my new office and I've got a Mac Mini I've had for several years and a Macbook Pro that I use at home.  I travel quite a bit and it would be really nice to have my Mac Mini and my Macbook synced.
I'd like to work all day on my Mac Mini, then when I get home, be able to experience the exact same desktop on my Macbook as I had on my Mac Mini.
Is there a way to get the two syncing to the same backup?  That way if I edit a document at the office, I can back the computer up, go home, sync my Macbook and continue working on that same document.  I could then back it up and in the morning, again continue my work on the Mac Mini.
Currently I'm taking my Macbook Pro back and forth.  It's really getting worn out with all the travel.

Use SugarSync (you can sync any folders, or all of them)

  • Updated ipad2 to 8.1.2 now no sync on mac mini 10.8.5

I haven't synced my ipad2 with my mac  mini for a  while.  Now, since updated my ipad2 to 8.1.2 I can not see the device on itunes allowing me  to sync the two OS devices together.  The device option on itunes on the mac mini, stays grey,  not recognizing the ipad which is connected by cord to usb.
At one point before I updated to 8.1.2, I also closed down to default (may not be the exact word).  I wiped out my wi-fi  password, but was  able to reinstall.  I only mention this in case my problem is not with the OS update.

It sounds like you do not see your iPad 2 in the device list in iTunes. If so, start with the troubleshooting tips in this article:

  • How can i sync my mac mini to a A1 pioneer wireless speaker?

i just bought a A1 wireless speaker and cant sync it to my mac mini, i have a dental office and want to use the wireless speaker in the waiting room but i cant sync it, can somebody help, i would greatly apprecaite it. thank you.

By reading the manual it will only work with computers:
    - A PC XP and above with Window media player. I think it has to be wired.
    - One of the new Macs that support AirPlay. The speakers do not use Bluetooth, only wifi. The following says you can get AIrPlay to work on earlier Macs (and PCs) with third-part programs.
