Sync never ends Error 4001
hello, i have the problem that my itunes match never ends the sync.
It runs always in a loop
Itunes is in german
I found a lot of solutions with the alt key, deactivate and activate Itunes Match and other, but nothing help.
have anyone a idea what i can do??

I ended up calling Apple, and they had me completely reformat the iPod. This seemed to fix the problem.

I have a new 32mb Touch. I originally synced it while on vacation with PC #1, and it worked perfectly. Now I am home, and I have attempted to sync it with PC #2.
I tried several times to sync to PC #2, and each time it would successfully transfer all (or most) of my media, but the sync process would never end.
I am using iTunes 7.6.1.9, and my Touch is version 1.1.3 with Software Upgrade.
I even went so far as to do a total restore of the Touch, but this doesn't seem to fix the problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.I ended up calling Apple, and they had me completely reformat the iPod. This seemed to fix the problem.

When I sync my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my Window's computer, the sync ends on Step 7 and says "Waiting for items to copy." However, it never ends. I cancel the sync, and all the new content is there, but it never ends. The animation at the top shows that its working, but again, never ends. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?
I have the same Problem, but with iMac (lion) and iPad (iOS 5) and in German .

Facebook & Flickr Sync NEVER ENDS
So aside from multiple dislikes of iPhoto '11, my biggest grip is that when I add pictures to an album on facebook or Flickr iPhoto never finishes. It just keeps spinning like it's syncing, and I'm talking about adding 9 photos not dozens or hundreds. I've left it and gone to work, left it over night, still going. Even worse, my pictures aren't online!
I never had any issues with iPhoto '09, but '11 has been nothing but a headache...It works but not before losing some info. Actually, iPhone does not recocgnize the FB's photos anymore as its. I mean, when you go to the original event from which you shared your photos, originally in the "More info" tab you should see that this photo is being shared in FB and you are able to see all the comments, "I like", etc... Now, after erasing the FB account and adding it again, iPhoto download those photos as FB's and doesn't link the internal photo with the FB's ones anymore. In fact, in Facebook tab of iPhoto you will see that the photo has been downloaded from FB. Well, it is better than nothing, but not as good as it should.

'Do not disconnect' - syncs never end with my Nano all of a sudden
My iPod Nano (v1.3.1) syncs happily to my Mac Mini (iTunes v7.1.1) but after the sync completes, the Nano's screen still says "Do not disconnect".
"Enable disk use" is NOT checked, nor is "manually manage music".
This is a pain, since I sync my Nano every morning to get a bunch of latest podcasts, and the Mac Mini hasn't normally got a display attached to it. (Watching the Mac Mini means turning the TV on!)
I've tried the three Rs, with no effect. I think this only happened after the iTunes v7.1.1 update. Is this happening to anyone else, or just me?
iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.9)I am having the same problem and it happened after the update. The only way to safely disconnect my nano from my macbook is to drag the ipod icon to the recycle bin.

IPad Photo Sync never ends....
Hi there,
I tried syncing a folder containing several thousand photos a while ago and then cancelled the sync without letting it finish.
Since then I cannot sync any photos onto my iPad, even folders containing only a few photos. The itunes sync just runs and runs... The only way I can complete a sync is if I deselect photos completely.
I've tried rebooting the iPad but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

nullI had the EXACT same issue with my almost-new IPAD. Spent several hours on the phone with the apple technician and even tried to restore the IPAD to factory settings. Eventually did this - disconnected the IPAD from the computer, deleted the IPOD PHOTO CACHE folder from the "pictures" folder (I am syncing to an Apple Mac) and re-tried the sync to just one folder with photos and now everything works - no infinite loop while syncing.

What we see is that slapd runs at 170% (dual processor g5) and doesn't quit until the process is stopped.
We are thinking now that any changes to WGM lists flag the preferences and the 200+ clients (not all on at the same time), go fetch the new preferences and kill the server load.
Do any of these errors while slapd is topping out the processors mean anything?Here's the most recent episode, with nothing cut out.

6.0.1 syncing itunes never ends

My iPhone syncs poorly with iTunes. At the last step (7.7) after copying files, it takes forever waiting for files to copy... never ends
Anybody on that?Every time I sync I have to abort the end after a while, 10 minutes or more, after I realize it's no use. Doesn't seem to work erratically, but is very strange and should be corrected ASAP

Syncing calendar or contacts never ends...
Love my iPhone, love my new Macbook Air.
First time I sync'ed the two my 600 contacts made it from the computer to the phone.
Now I'm syncing again a few days later and music syncs, video syncs, but if I choose to sync contacts or calendar it never ends. I've left it for as much as 30 minutes and nada.
No progress is shown as it is with music, etc -- just a barber-pole like progress bar that never changes.
I've tried checking the sync box that says "for this sync only replace the content on the phone" and it doesn't make a difference.
I've tried powering the phone down and back up and nothing.
I rather not completely reset the phone because I suspect that this will wipe the call logs, voicemails, SMS conversations, etc.
If it helps, I think the problem started because during this 2nd sync it detected a bunch of "conflicts" in the address book and asked which version I wanted to keep. I went through and chose all the ones to keep but before that sync was done the sync got hung up because an SMS message came in which it was in progress and when I tried to slide the slider to get to the SMS I killed the sync (I didn't realize the slider killed syncs at that point).

One thing to try is to open isync from your applications folder.
Once isync is open, click on isync at the top of the screen and choose preferences.
In the preferences, reset sync history.
After sync history is reset, quit isync and try syncing the iphone again.
If the issue persists, try creating a new user account.
Log into the new account and open ical and address book.
Put a test contact into address boo and a test event into ical.
Then open itunes, go through the initial setup and try syncing just contacts and calendars.
Make sure to merge data.
If the sync goes on in the new user account, then some how the data has become corrupted in your account and is causing the sync to hang.

How to fix "Sync encountered an error while syncing:Unknown error."
In mid July, after the firefox update, I had decided to close firefox like I usually do before I open the client for my MMORPG Aion, so I did. I end up not turning on firefox for a few days and when I did my bookmarks were gone as well as my toolbar bookmarks and my history. I start to wonder what happened and then I realised that there was a grey bar at the bottom of my browser stating, "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action.." I had no idea why this would happen as I never had this problem before so I look at the firefox support database but since I'm quite the greenhorn when it comes to programming there was only so much I could understand. I did try looking for corrupt or locked profiles but I saw none. Now as of today it's going on 2 months since the problem began and just today I recieved the firefox 32.0 update but still have this problem so I'm at my wits end and I not sure if I'll ever get it working again. Also my sync account is the one under the new system I had updated a few days before the problem began it also seems to be working on my other devices. Im lost without my bookmarks please help.

AdamSync from AD to LDS goes into a continuous never ending loop... can't figure this out.
I THINK I've got this thing configured up to the point where it should be able to sync. The XML config is set to just grab a single OU with roughly 12 accounts in it.
Everything seems to connect OK, then it does a ton of "Processing Entry", even though there are only a few accounts in this OU.
Then it begins to do "Adding target object..." and gets stuck in a never ending loop.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to troubleshoot this?

i spend a long time to try to sync my itunes music on my ipod 160 GB Classic, but after waiting so long get a pop up message that itunes stop syncing because of error 46, some times giving me 58, 1469, and many other numbers, please help am using macbook pro
That is precisely what my mid-2010 MacBoook Pro 13 was doing before the drive finally died after an Apple Genius rebooted it a dozen or so times. I have since read about the exact same thing happening to others, including a writer for The Atlantic magazine who had never had an issue with a Mac before. Do a back-up ASAP to make sure you don't lose anything and see about replacing the HDD. It is only about $140 for a new drive. The real issue is if you lose your data, too. So, make sure you do that back-up!

I keep getting an error message that says "the ipod cannot not be synced""an unknown error occured (13019). I am trying to put albums on to my ipod by dragging and dropping. I have it set to manually manage music and videos. The albums appear in the music section under Devices, but they don't appear on my actual ipod.
I have never had any problems doing this before, only in the last few days.I am having the exact same issue as you are with my iPod nano. This started happening the same day after I updated the iPod software, so I wonder if it is a bug within the software that Apple needs to resolve. I dragged 3 playlists of new music from my iTunes over to my iPod and sometime while it was trying to add those songs, the error 13019 popped up. Another note, which may not be related at all, was that iTunes told me at some point during this process (I believe before the error notification, but I'm not sure and that may be helpful to know) that I did not have enough room on the iPod to copy all of the songs, but it would copy as many as it could. What is curious, like in your situation, is now all the songs it supposedly copied appear to be on the iPod under the Device->iPod->Music label in iTunes when it is plugged into my computer, the playlists in question are also showing up there, and it does indeed say my memory is full under the iPod's general tab in iTunes. However, when going through my actual iPod when it is not plugged in, none of those songs or playlists are anywhere to be found.
Anyways, all the established solutions to the 13019 error do not apply to this situation, as my iPod has always been set to manually managed so "unchecking" the Sync Music option under the Music tab of the iPod and rechecking it will not work because it was never checked in the first place. And voice memos are obviously not applicable since we are not talking about an iPhone failing to sync music.
Unless anyone can provide a new solution here, I may just have to take my computer and iPod up to the genius bar. Any suggestions would be appreciated. -
I have installed xMAM 3.0 (SR4 Patch 0) on a machine and when I click sync 9 out of 10 times sync never completes.
Our MI server is MI7.0 SP12 patch0.
