Sync not syncing bookmarks

I have been using firefox and sync for a while now but some time ago I noticed my bookmarks didn't sync from one pc to another anymore.
I thought by upgrading to the latest firefox, 29, and new sync that the problem would be solved, but it wasn't.
It seems that when I setup my account and I click the sync button, every time the arrows keep on turning blue but nothing happens and none of the pc's are in sync.
I've been searching mozilla support and been googeling my problems for the last few days but haven't found a solution yet.
Any help would be much apreciated!

Bookmarks are not syncing to ONE of my Macs, but showing up on other Mac (work), iPhone 4 and iPad 1. Macs are on Mountain Lion. Tried all of Apple's suggestions - and the one Mac is still not updating/syncing Bookmarks or Reading List. What's going on? Do I have to wait to OS update? It seems lots of peolple were having issues before ML, but I as fine. Since ML, I am having all kinds of issues!

Yeah, I literally have tried everything except deleting my iCloud account (I'm close, but that would require so many changes that it is way too painful to consider at this point).
I am still waiting to hear back from Apple Support. Hopefully something can be done, or they can do a reset on their end.

iSync is for syncing contacts and calendars to third-party mobile phones via a USB or Bluetooth connection. iSync has never synced bookmarks and does not sync anything between computers.

ITunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPod

I'm suddenly getting "iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPod...because the iPod disconnected" every single time I connect to iTunes.
Haven't seen this one before - any (good) ideas?

Never mind - deleted some Safari bookmarks created by my Nokia N82, and the problem went away...

I've been running into this problem when trying to sync my iPhone 4 to iTunes for a while now. I was hoping that the latest iOS update would have fixed it, but it seems like it didn't.
I get this error every time I try to sync:
iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPhone "Crake" because the bookmarks are in use by the iPhone.
Close the bookmarks settings on the iPhone, then sync again.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.7, iTunes 10.2.2 and iOS 4.3.3.
I have already restored my iPhone, replaced the bookmarks and closed all applications before syncing; nothing seems to work.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

Just spent an hour with Applecare support.. I had been getting a message when I tried to look at Bookmarks on the iPhone "Bookmarks are being synced. Please add the bookmark once syncing has completed" - this has been the message for 10 days now on the iPhone whenever I try to create a bookmark or look at Bookmarks list. Applecare advised resetting the Bookmarks in iTunes by manual setting but as I was talking on theiPhone I had to finish the call to do the sync.. Then I got the message in iTunes as above that the bookmarks are in use..
Need to retain Mobileme cos I don't want to lose KEYCHAIN syncing yet until I have worked out waht to do with the service not being available on iCloud.
I thought maybe the update of the phone to iOS5 would clear up this Safari Bookmark error but it was like safari had remained running throughout the update to iOS5 process - it looked exactly the same..
So frustrating .. and yet the iPad is working perfectly on iOS 5 - it and two computers are all in sync on all Mobileme items.. Just iPhone Bookmarks is out.

Icloud not syncing bookmarks properly anymore.

icloud isn't syncing bookmarks properly anymore. It was working fairly well for a while there. I seem to have some instances of bookmark deletion being replicated but not bookmark addition. This isn't consistent though. I don't have any major duplication of hundreds of bookmarks (yet) but my new ones aren't always appearing everywhere as they used to.
A quick search on twitter shows that this is becoming more and more common.
I've already submitted feedback to Apple about this. I suggest everyone else having problems do the same.

"I was having the same issue as well - iCloud Safari bookmarks were syncing on my iPhone and iPad but not on my Macbook Air or Macbook Pro. Here is what I did and it started working perfectly:
1.     Turned off iCloud bookmark syncing on my Macbook Air
2.     Quit Safari
3.     Turned on iCould bookmark syncing back. It warned me that all my bookmarks will be 'merged' and I agreed since the two computers were almost identical anyway.
4.     Opened Safari and all my bookmarks were synced! A few extra bookmarks on my iMac were added to Macbook Air and any new bookmarks I had added to Macbook Air showed up on my iMac."
I hope this helps resolve your issues. It resolved mine.

ICloud not syncing Bookmarks _BAR_

So iCloud is a fail so far - 2 Macs (one a home, one a work) and they are not syncing bookmarks. At least not any bookmarks in the Menu Bar. But I keep ALL my bookmarks in the menu Bar.
Anyone have a clue when iCloud will be able to sync all bookmarks between Macs?

This iCloud sync problem has been resolved... (at least on my two Apple devices).....
My iPhone would not sync the bookmarks or bookmarks bar from my iMac. I have a new iPhone 4s that I just purchased recently and my iMac is about a year old. My iMac was using the latest version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system.
I did some research and discovered that in order for iCloud to work properly (to sync bookmarks and the bookmarks bar) between my new iPhone and older iMac that I needed to purchase and install Apple's newest operating system: OS X Lion. I purchased and downloaded the newest version OS X Lion, (version 10.7.2) and now iCloud works flawlessly between my two Apple devices.
Apparently iCloud does not work properly with Apple's older operating systems, though iCloud did sync my contacts, calendars and reminders it would not sync my bookmarks or bookmarks bar until I upgraded the operating system on my iMac to OS X Lion.
It's a shame that I had to pay for and download a whole new operating system on my iMac before the iCloud system would work correctly on both of my Apple devices but at least now iCloud works the way it is supposed to.
I hope this info helps others with the same problem I was having with iCloud bookmarks.

Has anyone had issues with iCloud not syncing bookmarks to Lion from iOS 6?

On the Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
On an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

Why is iPad2 not syncing bookmarks after iOS6 download?

Not able to sync bookmarks to iPad2 after iOS6 upgrade. I am not using iCloud, just manual syncing thru iTunes. Tried to re-sync bookmarks from iMac but not successful. My iMac operating system is10.6.8.
Any ideas?

Syncing Notes and Bookmarks????

When I click on my Device in iTunes and then on the "info" tab, there is an "Other" section. How does this work. I sync wirelessly and backup to iCloud. I would like to enter notes on my Mac and on my iPhone and keep them both in sync. How do I set the "Other" settings? Thanks.

Frefox Sync does not synchronize bookmarks.

At the moment I am using Firefox 5.0 on Ubuntu 11.04 .
I have set up Firefox 5.0.1 Sync on MS Windows XP .
My old bookmarks on Windows XP will not appear anywhere.
By the way, Firefox Sync works, except for bookmarks.
I installed it on MS Windows 7 and Uhu 2.2 Nerd (Linux distribution) as well.

Sync between Firefox English on WinXP and Firefox French on MacOS 10.5 (english or french) does not bring bookmarks (bug brings tabs from other computer)

Sync between Firefox (latest) English on WinXP and Firefox French (same version) on MacOSX 10.5 PPC (iBook G4) (english or french) does not bring bookmarks (bug brings tabs from other computer). After experimenting, each sync is scheduled on the each individual device and after all of them have completed, the about:sync-tabs page shows the updated tabs. It is not realtime, it seems to take a few minutes. This being the case, a fresh login did speed this up. If I logged out of the firefox account on my mobile device and logged in, I immediately saw the tabs on the about:sync-tabs page.
There is no limit to how many can be synced. There is a number of tabs that make it to the queue for the next scheduled sync. The tabs are done by a time interval as far as I noticed in the experiment.
The history is indeed merged with the history from other devices. It is merged the synced to each of the devices over an interval of time.

Syncing Bookmarks manually, not thru iCloud?

The Scenario: 2 Macs (OS X 10.1.1), 2 iOS devices (iOS 8.1.1) all syncing Mail, Contacts, Calendar through iCloud to all four devices just fine -- we don't want to alter this process.
The Issue: Mac 1 needs to sync its Bookmarks to iOS device 1 and Mac 2 needs to sync its Bookmarks to iOS device 2. (Yes, there is a good reason for differing bookmarks between the Macs; they are used for different functions).
It used to be that iTunes had a check the box "Sync Bookmarks [when iOS is plugged into this Mac]" but I can't find it anymore --
The Question: anybody know where the equivalent of the check the box went (and where I can find it), or if it is really gone .... any alternative ideas [like, maybe, can bookmarks be exported from a Mac, emailed to an iOS device, and then opened and added to the iOS device?)

E-mailing should work. Then copy, paste, and bookmark.

How to sync bookmarks with those on my iMac?

IT would really be helpful to have the bookmarks on my iMac on my iPad Air as well, but i cannot figure out how to do it. I usually use Chrome on my macs, but i've also exported those bookmarks to Safari on the Mac. Can anyone please tell me how to sync bookmarks.

I bought an Ipad AIR yesterday, and noted that chrome will run on it as per all my other devices, HTC android, PC, Linux.
While I can see all the history of the other devices and the bookmarks, the tabs and listed favs do not appear in Chrome on the Air when I login
I've logged in / out across all devices still no joy.
Any one any thoughts ?or is this an apple feature on the AIR.

Syncing bookmarks from Firefox in iTunes for 3GS?

When you sync your iPhone it gives you the option to sync bookmarks from IE or Safari, but I use Firefox and this doesn't show on the menu... what am I doing wrong?

Firefox does not show as a browser to select for syncing bookmarks since syncing bookmarks with Firefox is not supported. You should be able to import your Firefox bookmarks with Safari on your computer followed by syncing your iPhone Safari bookmarks with Safari on your computer.

SYNCING BOOKMARKS WITH iTUNES RATHER THAN MOBILE ME

I used to sync my bookmarks with iTunes. Now it says that my bookmarks are being synched via the Web with MobileMe. But I'm not using MobileMe, and I have the Fetch feature turned off. It says that "over the air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone," but I can't find where that can be done. I want to sync bookmarks with iTunes and not MobileMe. What do I do?
