Sync of all mail folders between iCloud, iMac, and iPad

How do I sync all the folders?  My inbox sync's, but if I send an e-mail on my ipad it will not show up in the sent folder on any of my other devices.

  • I can't sync my all email message between macbook pro and iPad 4

    Hi,
I can't sync my all email message between macbook pro and iPad 4. This sync only complete account setting but not email message.
Can anybody help me to fix the problem?

You can't "fix" this problem because you can't sync email messages from the Mac mail app, you can only sync your email account settings. Messages will not sync using iTunes.

  • HT4783 Why can I not airdrop between my iMac and iPad Air?

Is there a way to airdrop between my iMac and iPad Air?

AirDrop uses different systems to transfer data in iDevices and Macs, so you cannot use AirDrop between an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and a Mac. If you want this feature, send the idea to Apple > http://www.apple.com/feedback
Instead, there are other ways to transfer data between the Mac and your iPad, like Dropbox, or use iTunes.

  • How can I synch Mail application between an iMac and a Macbook Pro

I want to be able to go back and forth between my iMac and my Macbook Pro using Mail application.
I don't want to set up two completely separate accounts.
Has anyone had to do this and if so, how do I do it?
    Thanks for your help

You can get a Dropbox account, this will allow for 2GB of free storage and you can purchase additional storage if needed. You can find out about Dropbox from their website or read one of the many reviews about them. Their address is:
    www.dropbox.com
    and some reviews are at:

And you can Google to find additional reviews if you would like.

  • HT4557 Sharing music between home iMac and iPad

    Hi,
i have turned on Home Sharing on my iMac and iPad but I cannot see the More option leading to the Shared option in my iTunes.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

First of all - The More button is in the Music App at the bottom of the screen - not in iTunes.
Launch iTunes on the Mac and go to iTunes>Preferences>Sharing. Do you have Share Library on Local Network selected?
In the iPad settings go to Music>Apple ID. Are you signed in?

  • How can I sync my mail folders from my iMac and MacBook Air

I recently bought the new iMac and MacBook Air. I would like to access my emails on both computers. I have folders that sort my mail on both computers but cannot access them on the other computer. Thanks for your help!

What kind of email account do you have? (Who is it with?) The easiest way to do what you want is with an IMAP account, which actually stores folders on the email server, allowing any computer or device to see them. You cannot do the same with the older POP email accounts. Check whether your email provider offers IMAP.

  • Pages isn't syncing between iCloud, Macbook and iPad

    Hi,
Since last week, additions to and modifications of Pages documents aren't syncing between my devices over iCloud.
After writing a document on my iPad, the document will either display an arrow in the top right column to indicate it is waiting for an internet connection (internet is fine) or will display a status bar (which doesn't move).
Sometimes this document will appear on iCloud.com (even though it is displayed on my iPad as updating). Opening Pages on my MacBook will show in the iCloud documents window a doc with a Pages icon, an empty status bar and the title "Blank." I can't open this document.
The document doesn't appear in any form on my iPhone's Pages app.
When I create a doc with Pages on my Macbook, it sits in the documents window with the status "Waiting" though it will appear in iCloud.com (though not on my phone or iPad.)
I spent four and a half hours yesterday with Apple Support and we were unable to find a solution. I created a new account on my MacBook (which worked briefly - it doesn't now) and restored my iPhone (which didn't have an effect). We removed the mobile documents folder from the Library and various plists.
It seems that while my devices are sharing some information over iCloud something is preventing the full docs being downloaded.
All other iCloud services are working normally.
I am using a MacBook Retina bought in mid-January, 10.8.2, an iPad 2 iOS 6.1.2 and iPhone 4 6.1.2. The version of Pages on both phone and iPad is 1.7.2.
    Any advice very welcome.

  • Synching between iPhone imac and iPad

Have a weird issue.  Normally when I plug the iphone or iPad2 into the iMac the sych started automatically.  This morning I have done the same as usual and nada...it still makes that cute little trill when you plug the two toegether but thats it......when I open the sync app manually the devices are not there and if I try to find them they do not show up.......I even downloaded updates uncase something was wrong there.  Last time I synched was about a month ago.  The only thing I have done otherwise between teh iphone and the imac is to use image capture to transfer photos fromteh phone to the iMac.....

    Launch iTunes.
From the menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Devices tab.
Deselect:  Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically then click OK.
when I open the sync app manually the devices are not there and if I try to find them they do not show up.
Should be recognized under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Try here >  iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

  • How do i get itunes to sync all my music between my imac and my macbook?

    Hi!
I have all my music stored currently on my imac. With icloud, i was under the impression that all my music would be able to be synced over to my imac for when i am not at home. It seems that any new songs i buy from itunes are synced across and available on both devices but is it possiblt to sync everything across (including things i purchased before icloud)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The two computers do not sync.  It appears that you have successfully enabled automatic downloads for both computers, which is great for new purhases.
For purchases before automatic downloads, you'll have to go get them for each computer.  You'll be able to download them all or just the ones not currently in your library.  This explains how:  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

  • Is there a way to file share between an iMac and iPad?

I'm curious as to whether or not you can file share between an iPad and an iMac.  The main reason would be in case my wife or I were working on something on the iMac downstairs, we could "pull it up" on the iPad upstairs without having to sync it with the cable....or perhaps I'm just lazy...

    check out FileBrowser.
    another option may be Dropbox.

  • Share iMovie project between iMac and iPad?

Is it possible to share and continue a iMovie project between a iMac and iPad?
Or the share is only possible between iOS devices?

In general the simplest way would be to store the document in iCloud, and use iCloud to access the document from both your iMac and iPad.
But your post above says you're running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.4).  Snow Leopard is now two years old.  I'm not sure it supports iCloud.

  • Syncing Mail Between My iMac and Macbook

I am new to the Mac world (I am a PC convert) and I now have an iMac and a Macbook for work.
I have a couple of questions (some of which belong in this group and some elsewhere but I figured someone here could point me in the right direction):
    1. My company's email does not support IMAP, only POP. What is the best way to keep my email clients sync'ed? Ideally I would like my Inbox and all of my folders to be the same on my desktop and laptop and it would be great if it was automated somehow.
    2. What is the best way to handle my iPhone? Should I make my Macbook the "Sync Master" and only sync it to that?
    3. What is the best way to keep my folders and iTunes sync'ed between my iMac and Macbook? Someone suggested Martian Slingshot as the best way to keep them together. Do other people concur?
Any other advice/experience that people may have on the easiest way to use a Desktop in the office and travel with a sync'ed laptop is appreciated.
As I mentioned, I am very new to the Mac world. I can't really think of any great way to sync them in the PC World either but I am grateful for your help. I know I should have gotten a Macbook Pro but my boss didn't want to get me one so I am stuck with the hardware I have.
    Thanks.
    Jeremy

What I've done with email in the past is set only one of the machines to delete email from the server (if your company allows you that option). But you need to make sure you check with the one that doesn't delete before the other. You may be able to delete manually as well, so don't delete anything from the server until mail has been downloaded to both (I think this can be done in Apple Mail under advanced prefs). But that won't help with tracking replies, etc. And you'll have to manage mailboxes seperately.
.Mac has a bunch of syncing options, but you may not want to go to that expense.
Sorry I don't have any advice on the other stuff, only running 1 Mac.

  • How do you make the actually open safari iCloud tabs sync between iMac and iPad?

I'm trying to have it so the web browser tabs I actually have open and viewing at any time, are synced between my iMac and my iPad.
This doesn't appear to work via iCloud Safari tabs, you just get the tabs open on your iMac as a list you can access on the iPad if you go digging through options.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
