Sync old iMessage conversations from iPhone to new iPad & Mac?

I have had my iPhone for a couple years now, and have accumulated a fairly large amount of iMessage conversations from various people. A few days ago, I purchased my first iPad and also updated my Mac to Mountain Lion. By doing so, I now have access to iMessage on three devices in total, whereas before I only had one.
I have managed to setup my devices so that all new iMessages I send and receive are being synced between them. However, is it possible to sync my old iMessage conversations from my iPhone back onto my iPad and Mac?
I would like to do so in order to keep a full record of the past conversations I have had with my contacts.
I have done a bit of research before posting, but the only related topics I found werehttps://discussions.apple.com/message/19095937 andhttps://discussions.apple.com/message/17818920. The former was left unresolved, whereas the latter describes a solution which I am unable to reproduce.
Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

For me this was very early on in my Mountain Lion days.
I would now say that you cannot sync iMessages from an iOS device that were sent before your linked any Apple ID with the iPhone Number or added the Mac to the use of the Apple ID.
At the point at which and Apple ID is used on both an iPad and the Mac version of Messages becomes it's "Start date"
The same can be said for adding an Apple ID to an iPhone and the Mac.
On the Mac all messages can be saved if you wish.
This are in the .ichat format which you can send to Mac Buddies and then can open them and read them as if they were the chat (i.e they display as "chats').
There appears to be no way in iTunes to access the iMessages (or SMS ones) on the iPhone.
Someone who knows more about the iOS may be able to tell you if they are accessible another way.

Is there a way to sync my old iMessage conversations from my iPad to my iPhone and Mac? Currenty I have lots of chat history in my iMessage app on my iPad and would like to have the same on my other devices aswell. I've searched several forums for an answer in this issue but I've been unable to find a solution. Hopefully someone here can help me.

Congrats On getting an Ipad! If you go into settings and go to Imessage sign in with your apple ID on all of your accounts (ex [email protected]) and pass (1234%%%) all on of your accounts you will get all the message from now on if you want to get past messages you have to select the Persons Message tab and then you got to click on foward and you type in your same ID I hope that this has helped you out!

"Paired"? I think you are saying you were trying to use Bluetooth to do this transfer. That will not work.
Instead, try one of these two methods:
1. Use iCloud to contain the contacts. Then set both the iPad and iPhone up to reference the iCloud contacts.
2. Sync the iPhone using iTunes on your computer. Then sync the iPad using the same iTunes.
(This may or may not work depending on what you use to house the contacts.)

Put the photos in a folder on your computer, then select to sync the photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your iPad. They should then appear in the Photo Library album in the Photos app.

Thank you for your answer to my ipad question.
I was able to transfer my contacts, notes, calendar . . . etc., once I connected to Yahoo.
The info you gave me would be good, except that I don't use iCloud as it filled up the free 5GB on my iPhone
and then kept asking me to "buy more storage".
One day I may try to utilize the cloud, but now that I seem to have all my info from my iPhone transferred to my new iPad
I think I am good.

Transfer your iTunes library from your computer's backup along with all other important data that should be included with your computer's backup.
If you don't have a backup, iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

The most likely reason is the iPhone and PC have different iTunes store accounts. Have you tried "Transfer purchases from..." on the file menu in iTunes?
Go to My Account in iTunes and make sure it really IS authorized.

For expediency, configure iTunes to sync EVERYTHING (books, movies, songs, apps) and store stuff locally. Enable encryption (just don't forget the password you set) and even your passwords, cookies get saved in the backup file. When the new device is plugged in and iTunes recognizes as such, the restored result will be identical even in the screen icon placement. Storing locally on the computer's drive results in a faster restore since all the stuff is already there and not subject to network vagaries.

Restore an iMessage conversation from Mac to iPhone

Hi,
A couple of months ago, I deleted a contact from my address book, along with the corresponding iMessage conversation from this contact. Both the contact and the conversation were manually deleted from my Mac and my iPhone (I think, although maybe I just deleted it from my iPhone?). Both devices are using the same AppleID/iCloud account.
About a month ago, I added the contact back in (I can't recall if I added the contact back on my Mac first or my iPhone first) and the entire iMessage conversation had been restored on my Mac (I was actually quite amazed that the entire conversation was restored on the Mac. I didn't really know that all that is stored in lCloud). On my iPhone, however, only the iMessage conversation messages that were exchanged since the contact was added back in are present on the iPhone.
Is there a way to force the iPhone to refresh the entire conversation from this particular contact from iCloud, or from my Mac?
I use iCloud backup to back up my phone, not my Mac.

Not that I know of. You would have to restore a back-up of the iPhone before the message was deleted. You can also take screen shots on the Mac of the conversation. That would save the conversation in your photos, and you can sync those. Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm missing something.

Once you connect to the Wifi Network once, then the iPhone or iPad remembers it and attempts to connect automatically in the future, but you have to tap to connect to that Wifi the first time. Like the first time you get on your home wifi, or the first time you go the a certain hotel, etc.

provided you are using the same Apple ID
for Apps
just launch the App Store App
    tap on Purchased at the bottom of the page.
      tap on particular Apps you want to download and install..
for other items
launch the Settings App
    scroll left pane down a bit, just below Privacy
      tap on iCloud
        Turn on iCloud sharing for particular items
          Contacts, Calendars, Mail, Safari (favorites)
Turn on iCloud sharing on your old devices and your new devices.
Wait 10 or 15 minutes, or so depending on your WiFi network..
    You should start to see these shared items appear on your new device..
You can turn iCloud sharing off on your old devices (and new device)
after you are confident enough items have transferred.

Only by restoring your phone from a backup that contains the deleted message. There is no way to directly move it.
