Sync one calendar with several iPhones

Hi everyone:
Let me explain my situation. I work at a small private company and we have a common schedule that we'd like to sync among all of our iPhones. I have several questions in that regard:
1. We run Windows XP computers at work. Can one of them be used to store the "master" copy of the schedule calendar?
2. I have my own calendar dates set up on my iPhone, so if I do the sync with our schedule calendar will my own dates be overwritten?
3. Will it expose dates off my own iPhone calendar to the rest of the people who we sync it with?
Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't recommend you set things up that way. Instead, if everyone had a Gmail account(Free), you could setup your work calendar under one of the accounts and share that calendar with everyone else. Doing things that way keeps everyone's private calendar private, the "public" calendar, "public", and since you're syncing over the air, no risk of wrong boxes checked on a common PC mucking everything up.

  • I have a personal email calendar kept on Outlook, I also have an Exchange calender on outlook.  I want to sync both calendars with my Iphone 5 /6.1.2  but ITunes only sees the exchange calendar. How can I get Itunes to see both calendars

I have a personal email calendar kept on Outlook 2010, I also have an Exchange calender on Outlook.  I want to sync both calendars with my Iphone 5 / 6.1.2  but ITunes only sees the exchange calendar.
How can I get Itunes to see both calendars?

    Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
If you hit a snag talk back to me.
    Cheers.

  • How do I *not* sync selected calendars with my iPhone?

I have separate work and home calendars, and I would like to sync both with my iPhone.
The hitch is that I want my work calendar to appear on my home computer when synced but I do not want my home calendar to appear on my work computer when synced. Is that possible?
    Thank you

That is not possible, iTunes will give you the option to replace calendars on the iPhone with calendars from the PC or merge them.

The best way to do this would be syncing the work calendar to the home computer without using the iPhone.

  • HT1495 Syncing one iPad with 2 iPhones?....

My wife and I have two iPhone 5s set up with individual apple ids.
We have just bought an iPad and I have set it up in my name using my apple I'd.
Can we set up both phones to link to this iPad, so that when either of us takes pictures on either of our phones it syncs back to the iPad?
    Thanks Gary

No. It will only sync with the phone that has the same Apple ID. You can set up a shared Photo Stream album that she can access on her phone.
How do I create a shared photo stream?
Creating a shared photo stream is as easy as selecting the photos you'd like to share and providing email addresses of the people with whom you'd like to share.  You can share from any device using iOS 6 or later; from a Mac in iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later; from a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later and iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed. • My iPhone 4 no longer syncs my calendars with Outlook...?

Hi.  I've always synced my Outlook with my iPhone and haven't had any issues.  Now, I've noticed that my Oulook Calendar doesn't have the same appointments my iPhone does.  For example, I have many appointments this month on my iPhone, but they don't appear on my Outlook Calendar when I sync.  However, strangly enough, if I add an appointment to my phone or to my Outlook Calendar, now, and sync, it will copy over.  But the ones that are there in my phone now are not in Outlook.
The only thing I think I've changed is upgrading to iOS5 and I have been syncing wirelessly, but my other PIM info seems to be syncing.
    Any suggestions?

Your cynicism is spot-on. I have tried everything that you tried and more.  My contacts and notes do not sync either, in addition to my calendar.  But, music, photos and apps do sync.  After spending over two hours with Microsoft I am convinced this is a bug in the iTunes sync software, but Apple does not seem to understand that if they create syncing software that is supposed to connect between two different devices, that they either need to own the handshake or be able to say why the sync can't make the handshake.  They just keep saying, "It's an Outlook problem."  Agree with you about Androids and Blackberrys (although I so loved my Blackberry, I am still heartbroken to have had to give it up).  I believe that the only solution is now going to be some form of cloud sync - either to use the iCloud Control Panel for Outlook sync, or to create a Google calendar and sync through their cloud, or to get on MS Exchange through MS Office 365.  Or hope that iTunes decides to acknowledge the problem and release a bugfix in iTunes.  I also heard that they will not support Office 2010 iTunes syncing at all.  I doubt this because I know people who are doing it. Anyway, sorry for long post, appreciate the help.

  • Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars.  I am not running exchange server.

Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars?  I am not running exchange server.

    hello,
BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
    1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
    2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
    3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
    4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

  • I have an iMac with 10.9.1 and an iPhone 5 also updated to the newest system and I cannot get a sync set up between Ical and the iPhone or Outlook 2011 mac calendar with the iphone

I have an iMac with 10.9.1 and an iPhone 5 also updated to the newest system and I cannot get a sync set up between Ical and the iPhone or Outlook 2011 mac calendar with the iphone. I would perfer using outlook but will settle for the Imac calendar

It depends on what iMac you have. If it is an old PPC (G4 orG5) iMac then no further upgrades are possible. If it an Intel iMac:
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:
Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
(NB: PowerPC applications can still be run in Snow Leopard using Rosetta, but they will not work in later versions of OS X.)
The OS 10.6 Snow Leopard install DVD is available for $19.99 from the Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    and in the UK:
    http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
Check via Software Update whether any further updates are required, particularly to iTunes.
You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4479
You can now upgrade to Mavericks OS 10.9 for free IF you have one of the following Macs, with not less than 2GB of RAM, and at least 8GB of available space on your hard drive:
    iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    iCloud system requirements:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4759
If you cannot run Mavericks you can purchase the code to use to download Lion from the App Store (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard):
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion
    or Mountain Lion:

Re: check that the appointments in my phone are going into iCloud calendars....exactly how do I do this?  I fear this is a really stupid question!
My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple, etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails.  But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments.  To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work.  If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level?  or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there  a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud?

  • Synching ONE MobileMe calendar with TWO iphones

I keep reading that it's possible to synch a MobileMe calendar with TWO iphones but cannot find out HOW to do so. I presume that SHARING a calendar is different from SYNCHRONISING a calendar. Sharing a calendar seems to me to be cumbersome in that it involves sending an invitation which then must be specifically dealt with by the recipient. SYNCHRONISING a calendar though presumably means updating a calendar entry automatically. It works with one iphone. How can it be made to work with two iphones? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    That's it.

my OG iPhone won't sync with my MobileME calendar. Is that because the OG phone can't be updated to ios4?
And if that's the problem is there any alternative for syncing the OG iPhone's calendar (which is now empty)?

  • I can't seem to sync my calendar on my iphone to iCal because the default email address associated with my calendar on my iphone was to an old work email address that I no longer have.

I can't seem to sync my calendar on my iphone to iCal because the default email address associated with my calendar on my iphone was to an old work email address that I no longer have. When I go to ICal it asks for the username and password which I no longer have. The calendar is still on my phone (even though the email account is on my phone but doesn't work) Is there a way to copy my calendar to a different email address on my iphone? I have now set the default email account for the calendar to a current email address but I still can't figure out how to merge my iphone calendars, copy the iphone calendar to iCal, or save my iphone calendar to my mac. Also, I read in ITunes to check "sync to ICal" but my  ITunes under my iphone and info just says "Sync Calendars" which doesn't transfer it to iCal when I sync my phone.

Did you ever solve the problem?  I have an iPhone 4 and don't use the Cloud.  I sync the iPhone with my Windows 7 Outlook using iTunes.  It worked perfectly until I upgraded the iPhone to iOS 7.0.2 and now the calendar entries from the iPhone are updated in Outlook but the calendar entries in Outlook are not synced to the iPhone.  I get this message.  Any help would be appreciate.  I went to the "Genius Bar" at my local Apple Store, they were clueless and no help at all.
