Sync Outlook 2010 x86 Calendar to iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1) via iTunes 10.2.1.1

When sync'ing the calendar from MS Outlook 2010 x86 to iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1) the appointments created in MS Outlook get offset by 1hour, for example, appointment in Outlook for 10:30 appears in the iPhone calendar at 11:30. Additionally, appointments created in the iPhone calendar are offset back an hour when sync'd to MS Outlook, so a 9.30 appointment created on the iPhone appears in MS Outlook at 8:30. PC time zone is set to London GMT, iPhone date and time is set to 'Set Automatically'

Help! Can't sync Outlook 2007 contacts & calendar with iPhone 5 or iPad Air

After upgrading software on iPhone 5 & iTunes, I can no longer sync any contacts or calendar from Outlook 2007.
I have been syncing happily for years, but just this week after downloading software updates for iPhone 5 and iTunes, I can no longer sync.
Music and Podcasts and even notes appear ok, but no contacts or calendar.
At one point, I managed to get the calendar to appear but no contacts; then on a later attempt, the calendar completely disappeared from my iPhone and Outlook - with no USB connection at the time. I had a backup, but strange!
I have tried the following with no success (most tips picked up from this forum):
Reset sync and tried again
Reset my phone to be a new phone; deleted everything - no success;
Ensured my default account on outlook was the same standard account as before
Deleted all the addons in Outlook except for iTunes (though iCloud keeps coming back!)
I have run malware software and found nothing
I have shut down and restarted many many times!
I am syncing via USB.
Please help!! I have spent hours trying to get this to work.

By any chance are you running any Eset security software products (like Nod32) on that PC?
If so, there's a couple of alternatives.

Or, see if you can get hold of the Eset beta addressing the problem. As Samoreen notes in another post:
ESET have a workaround for this issue. They gave me access to a test version of the HIPS module and this fixed the problem. So I could re-enable the ESET_OPTIONS environment variable (although I still consider that it's a questionable idea). I upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5.5 and there was no problem.
So maybe you should get in touch with ESET support and request the new module ? Just send a message to Marcos in the ESET forum.

Syncing outlook 2010 on pc and IPhone 4

Can anyone help.
IWhen my pc is switched on i receive emails in outlook but not on iphone.
Also when pc is off i receive emails on iphone but only some on outlook when i switch pc on.
Is this a syncing problem?

Sounds like you have a POP account. Unfortunately that's one of the limitations of a POP account, as it is designed to access mail on only one device. POP is the oldest mail protocol, written in a time when folks only had one computer. POP does not play well in a world where we have multiple devices. Your only solution is to see if your provider offers mail setup as IMAP.

IPhone 4S Outlook 2010 shared Calendar problem

Hello all,
There problem to see in Outlook 2010 shared calendar in iPhone 4S. In iPhone 4S there is seen owner calendar of added Exchange Server account, but I need to see other one person shared calendar which is impossible to see. I see in iPhone 4S two calendars as added, but when I open calendar I see entries only for one account.
Where is problem and how to solve it?

I had the same problem where I could open a shared calendar in OWA but it would not work in Outlook 2010. When I clicked on the shared folder I got the error message 'outlook cannot open this folder'. The problem ended up being that the person
whose calendar was being shared was hidden on the exchange server ('hide from exchange address lists' had been selected). To resolve the issue we had to unhide the user, update the OAB on the server and then update the OAB on the desktop. We could then share
the calendar, accept the share and then hide the user again.
Sounds like I have the same issue too. Where do I go to do all the resolve part? Where do I unhide the user? I am guessing OAB means offline address book.

You would sync Outlook via iTunes on the computer. Connect the iPhone to the computer, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes running, select the iPhone in iTunes and it will display the Summary page. Select the Info tab, and there you would select what you want to sync calendar and contacts to. Make sure since this is the first time you have done a sync that whichever of the devices is new to the sync process has at least one unique contact/calendar event to get iTunes to prompt you for a merge or replacement. Easy solution for restoring lost calendar informaiton, thank goodness. On your iPhone, go to settings, then to iCloud. If your Calendar selection is turned off, turn it on. Your info should restore. If your Calendar selection is turned on, then turn it off. Choose to save calendars when asked. After it shuts the Calendar off, turn it back on. Your info should be restored.
Thank you to Apple support for walking me through this. Shame on you Apple for not just telling people about this easy fix rather than making us go through all of this pain and worry.

Is there an app that syncs Outlook 2010 with an iPhone 4S? iMExchange 2 worked with the old Outlook but not with the 2010.

The iPhone can be configured to sync directly to the Exchange server, no app needed.
Alternatively, via iTunes the device can be synced to Outlook.
Try reading the User's Guide.

After multiple hours of searching and trial and error I found the solution--for those that are still looking. Yes you can sync Outlook 2010 running on Windows 7 to your iPhone 4--contacts, calendars, notes, bookmarks, etc.
Here's how:
Items you will need:
iPhone
Computer
Microsoft Outlook 2010
iTunes USB dock connector for iPhone
Step 1 Open iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer.
Step 2 Click your iPhone name in the "Devices" section of the left menu column.
Step 3 Click the "Info" tab in the main window.
Step 4 Check the box marked "Sync Contacts with". Step 5 Click the drop-down box next to "Sync Contacts with" and select "Outlook." Step 6 Select "All Contacts" or "Selected Groups." Step 7 Check the boxes next to the Outlook contact groups you wish to sync if in Step 6 you chose to sync only groups. Step 8 Click "Apply." If the sync is successful, skip to Step 15. If the sync is unsuccessful, continue to Step 9. Step 9 Open Outlook. Step 10 Click "Tools" and select "Trust Center." Step 11 Click "Add-ins." Step 12 Click "COM Add-ins" in the "Manage" section. I can't sync Outlook 2010 with iCloud. The iCloud Control Panel says to install Outlook even though I already have it. I am not given the option to to check the Mail, Contacts or Calendars boxes. How can I check the boxes so I can sync properly?...right now all my Calendar has duplicate items.

I believe you have right - the Add-in is the problem. Right now, my Outlook 2010 do NOT have the iCloud add-in. You mention something about downloading it - where can I find it ?? I have tested to uninstall and install again, nothing changes my syncing with Outlook 2010 after the initial setup has been done with iCloud.....

Outlook 2010 appointments made on iPhone 4s not showing on monthly view

When I sync Outlook 2010 64-bit with the iPhone 4s, I am having a strange issue. Appointments made on the iPhone show up in Outlook's calender on the daily and weekly view, but not on the monthly view. Also, the little calender in Outlook usually show Bold dates on days that I have an appointment however with this little quirk, appointments made on the iphone and synced with Outlook do not cause the dates to be bold. Somehow, appointments created on the iPhone and synced with Outlook 2010 show up on the daily and weekly view and are missing on the monthly view....HELP!!

I believe there are other issues going on as well. My music on my iphone 4s is still on the iphone and we are talking 20-30 gb's of music. Itunes however does not recognize that it is on the phone. Other programs are having the same issue so i'm guessing something is up with 6.1
You may also try transferring purchases from your phone by clicking on File Menu Devices Transfer Purchases.

I want to be able to sync my iPad with both iCal on the iMac and Outlook 2010 in Microsoft Office 2010, installed in Parallels 7. What happens is that when I connect the iPad to the iMac (USB) it syncs directly with iCal via iTunes. How can I get the iPad to sync Outlook 2010 in Parallels via iTunes as well? Do I have to download and install another copy of iTunes in Windows 7 in Parallels?

Don't think that's possible as iOS devices can only be synced to one iTunes library at a time.

This year, the government has canceled the daylight saving time , that's why happening this problem to me so I changed the time zone in iPhone from Cairo,Egypt (GMT+2 with daylight saving) to Harare,Zimbabwe (GMT+2 without daylight saving , no change in time from summer & winter) & now working good, no change in time after sync. , But it's very stupid thing from apple that they didn't add an option in time setting to enable or disable the daylight saving time like any other mobile.
