i can not completely sync contacts,address on my macbook pro; stops with message,volume locked..... what to do??????
Kalopsia - to post a New Message, go to the section of the Forum that is the most appropriate for your issue, then click the large "New Message" button in the upper left portion of the screen.
You then enter your question just as you have here when you clicked "Reply". When done, click the "Post" button beneath where you entered text.

If anyone could please help it would be really appreciated- thanks in advance:)I don't know how you got to your current position, but you might want to start by replacing your calendar with your MacBook Pro calendar if it is correct (if it isn't, skip this): first disable calendar syncing on your phone (Settings>iCloud>Calendars set to OFF), then prior to syncing open iTunes on your computer and disable automatic syncing (under Preferences>Devices>Disable...from syncing automatically syncing). Next connect your phone and set your sync settings on the Info tab to Syc Calendars with iCal, and below under Advanced choose "Replace Information on this iPhone" and check Calendars. Now sync and this will hopefully replicate your MacBook calendar on your iPhone.
Next, carefully review this to see that you have correctly set up iCloud on both your phone and your MacBook: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/, and that your meet the minimum system requirements (latest version of iOS on your phone, latest version of iTunes, OSX Lion 10.7.2 or later). -

I have a Macbook Pro with all my music files on - I have recently upgraded my software to iOS5 and I am running Lion.
I have synced my iphone to my Macbook Pro via iCloud, but I would also like to sync my wife's PC laptop (Windows Vista) to my Macbook Pro, again for the music files - I have downloaded iCloud and iTunes on her PC with my Apple ID.
I was wondering if anyone knows how I go about syncing these two devices as I can't fathom out how to do it!You don't use iCloud for this. You do it with iTunes.
On your iPhone 4s you need to use the same Apple ID for the iTunes Stores that you use on your Macbook Pro. Your iCloud ID can be different for syncing calendars, mail, etc. but in the iTunes stores on your phone, it needs to be the same Apple ID that you bought the apps/music with. -
How can I sync my calendars on the MacBook Pro, iCloud, iPad and iPhone? Since upgrading to the newest OS on each device, none of the calendars sync. Any suggestions?

I understand the need for all of your calendars to be up to date across all of your devices and how frustrating it can be when they are not syncing as you would expect. In this situation I would suggest reading over and using the attached article for troubleshooting.

Go to iCloud in System Preferences and make sure the appropriate box is checked. You also need to be signed in.

iTunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday. In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync to the other devices but now there is a listing a movies with no cover photos and in fact if I try to view the movie on the MacBook Pro it cannot be found unless I download it.
All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

Were you syncing over USB? If so, and you upgraded to Mavericks, you will have to switch your calendar to iCloud or another cloud-based option.
Syncing over USB is no longer an option in Mavericks.

I have the same problem and have not been able to get contacts transferred from my MacBook Pro to my iPad 2. I have checked "sync contacts", when it does the sync it says it is syncing contacts, but the address book on the iPad remains empty. I tried checking the box under "advanced" that says to replace the contacts information on the iPad, sync again, same result—an empty address book on the iPad. Any suggestions?

If you really are running Mac OS X 10.7.5 and iOS 6.1.3, you should be able to sync through iTunes, but in current releases you need to use a central contact service like iCloud.
Did you have it working and then not working, or have you never had it working?
Are you trying to use iTunes, iCloud, or something else?
