Sync part of address book but not all... how?

Just started using iSync though I've been using my cell and Mac for many years (i.e. newbie at syncing though proficient with Macs).
How can I sync part of my Mac's Address Book without including all 600+ contacts?
It's a pain to have to scroll through so many to get to the few I regularly use (I'm not on an iPhone so scrolling requires continued pressing of 'down' button on my Motorola cell).

I had not thought to click on the cell phone image/icon in the iSync window so as to be given the choice of Group folders to select to sync with my cell phone.
Before posting here I used the online iSync Help and did not see it mentioned anywhere.
It would be nice if Apple made this apparent by including a menu item in iSync that would take a user to that options window.

Sync nano with Address Book but the categories are gone!!??

I have more than 200 contacts in my Address Book, but when I finished syncing it with my ipod nano, the categories are missing. I have to search the entire list to get to a contact I want. Can anyone tell me if that is normal?? Is there anything I can do about it?

Yes, it's normal. The iPod address book does not support sorting by categories.

Contact in my Address Book, but not on my Iphone

I have contact in my Address Book that wont go to my iphone,
I have reset my iphone,
added another directory to my Address book, but do not show in Itunes.
Put a test card on my iphone, but not added to my Address book.
I am not sure if this is an iphone problem or Itunes not syncing with my Address Book.
I have tried to delete Itunes and down load again.
Any one have an idea what else to try

To reset sync history on windows:
In itunes, click on edit at the top of itunes and choose preferences.
Now click on the syncing or iphone tab when the preferences window comes up.
Near the bottom of the page there is a button to reset sync history.

Can sync some of my music but not all of it

Ever since I updated to iOS 7, whenever I try to sync my iPhone 5s with my MacBook, some of the songs will go onto my phone, but not all of them. In iTunes under the "On this iPhone" tab, it shows all my music, but the majority of the songs are greyed out with a circle next to them. I have no problem syncing my iPods and iPad, all my music shows up and plays on them. I restored my phone and my phone and iTunes are both updated, but that didn't help. Any ideas about what's causing this and how to fix it?

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

Sync *part of* address book with google contacts

Within the Address Book I've seen it's possible to share contacts with a googlemail account.
However, is it possible to share part of an address book (say, a group or a smart group)? I'd like to share some contacts with colleagues at work but I don't need to share all my personal contacts etc.

The central part of page booking form not all displayed

when trying to book a coach on citylink not all the central part is dislplayed so cannot compleat form how do i change this wifs pc is ok same program

how do i alter the settings to change the central portion so it is wider and can see it all

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

Iphone contact changes get into address book, but not entourage

I would appreciate any help. I sync my iphone into entourage via ical and address book. Any changes I make in entourage contacts or calendars get placed into the iphone. Calendar events get synced both ways no problem. New contacts entered into in the iphone get added to the address book and make it into entourage. So far so good.
The problem I have is when I modify an existing contact on my iphone (for example add a phone number) and then sync it. The new phone number gets placed into the address book just fine, but does not get updated in entourage. Everything else goes both ways just fine.
I have tried re-setting the synch history in isync and then restarting my computer. this is no help.
I have a new Macbook pro and am running the latest versions of everything on both my laptop and my iphone.

the plot thickens.
I can totally create or delete a contact on my iphone, and those changes makes it into entourage.
the only bug is when I "modify" an existing contact in my iphone.

How do I change states on part of a page but not all of it?

I can't figure out how to word this question to make it make sense, but here goes...
I have a page with 2 parts, Graphics and Photos... I want the Photos part to have a "next page" and "previous page" button that won't interfere with the Graphics part, in case I want to add a next/back button to that too... but they're all on the same page... so do I have to make a new state for each combination of pages? (like graphics page 2 and photos page 3 together, graphics page 2 and photos page 4 together, etc etc) because I could probably do that... Or is there an easier way?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

My iPod is not syncing the full address book

Hello, I have a problem is that this last few times that I've tried to Sync my iPod, it is not copying my full Address book. I have it set to sync the full Address Book but I am just getting a weird scattering of addresses of about a screen-full plus one address, the top one has no name in the list. I've tried going in and deleting from the Contact folder the isync.vcf but it has still not helped. It is the same sub-set that gets synced.
Help.

Subsequent software updates (OS and iTunes) has seemed to have resolved this issue.

Sent an email to one person and the email went to lots of other people who were in the address book but who were not supposed to receive the email

I forwarded an email to my husband but the email went to about 15 people who were not supposed to receive it. These people are in my address book but not on a list to receive emails and it appears that the service picked them randomly. Not good!!

ISync syncs to wrong Address Book group

When I sync my phone (Nokia 3230) with my MacBook, I designate the Address Book group titled "Contacts in 3230" to be synced. But contacts that I've added to the phone (my usual way of adding new contacts) are transferred to my "All" contacts in Address Book, but NOT to the designated group. To correct this, I have to manually try to remember what contacts were added to the phone, and then copy them from "All" into the "Contacts in 3230" group.
How can I make iSync sync to the designated group?

I have the same problem with a Nokia 6230. Really annoying as i sync has now cluttered up my mac address book with phone contacts that i wanted in a specific group called 'nokia back up' Also I tried putting a test item in this folder and this did not download onto the phone. I don't want my phone filled with all of my contacts and i don't want my mac filled with all the temporary contacts that end up in a phone on a Friday night. All i want is to back up my phone to my mac in case i loose it. should be simple enough!

Only Syncing parts of tv series and not the whole thing?

I have had Apple Tv for a while now but all of a sudden im starting to get problems.
When i want to sync the whole series of a tv show, it syncs most of the shows but not all of them and in no certain order, for example:
Episodes 1,2,3,6,12,14,18,20 are NOT there but the rest of them are.
I only tick the box for the tv shows that i want to sync to Apple TV in iTunes, that is how i bring them into Apple TV. Is this correct or should i be doing it another way?
What could be the reason it is leaving out episodes ive tried everything i can think of. Ive restarted ATV and carried out a factory reset on ATV i have now just synced to ATV again and the same thing keeps happening but this time it has less episodes than before.
I have plenty of room on the ATV hard drive so i know its not the HD filling up.

Couple of questions for you.
Wifi or ethernet.
Is it the same shows that don't sync every-time.
Are you trying to watch while syncing.
Are you syncing all unwatched episodes or all episodes.
Can you watch the episodes that don't sync by streaming.
Are these purchased shows.
I wouldn't be worried that they don't sync in episode order.

I have the same problem transfering Address book on iMac to contacts on iPhone (old version 3G - on iCloud). this is a hard wired connection

Might you have 200 entries in On My Mac groups and some of your appointments in On My Mac calendars?

I want to share some photos via email to multiple but not all addresses in my address book

I want to share some photos from iphoto via email to multiple but not all addresses in my address book but when I try and add a recpient in the To field it will only allow me add one. I have to send the email to juts one person and then when it is sent the template with my photos and messages disappears and I have to start all over again! Surely there is an easier way - please help! Thanks

IMHO the best solution is to use apple mail - set it in your iPhoto preferences
