Sync Photos from iPad to iTunes

Hello.
I use my iPad for travel and I have the Camera Connection Kit. I download the pictures directly from my camera to the iPad.
I sync my iPad with iTunes but I dont see the pictures going from the iPad to the PC.
There is any way to automate the movement of the pictures from the iPad to the PC so I don't lost the pictures if any thing happen to my iPad?
Thank you.

It's a shame Apple seem to mislead customers who buy the camera connect kit.  The product page states:
When you sync iPad to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.
This appears not to be true. It seems that you have to manually import your photots to your PC and then delete individually ones you do not want to remain on your iPad.

Can't sync photos from ipad that I synced from another computer... I want to have them on my computer.
Why isn't there a way to do this? I don't get it. Sharing photos is such an important thing I don't understand why Apple makes it so hard to do this.
    OK here is my senario:
Recently went on a trip Hong Kong with someone... we both had iphones and took hundreds of awesome photos. Now we want to share them with eachother. Too many photos for email and I don't wish to upload to flicker/facebook/etc...
This is what I did thinking it should work...
    1) synced photos on her iphone with her computer
    2) synced photos on MY iphone with her computer
    3) put ALL the hong kong photos in one album
    4) connected my ipad to her computer... attempted to copy photos from iphoto to ipad -- NOPE, can't be done (***?!?!)
    5) so I synced the photos (and only the photos) in the hong kong album using itunes to my ipad -- this worked -- all photos now on my ipad
    6) drove home (5 hours away) and connected ipad to my computer and attempted to import with iphoto -- NOPE, can't be done (***!?!?) Won't even show the photos.
    7) itunes wants to replace all the photos on my ipad with the photos from my computer (***?!?!)
How are you suppose to do this?! How are you suppose to be able to share lots of photos with people?

Photos are not copied off the iPad via iTunes.
For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

iPhoto 9.4.3 crashes when trying to sync photos from IPAD running 8.1.  Any ideas on why ?
iPhoto runs and keeps trying to read the iPad photos cycling thru a lot of times eventually crashing.

There may be a corrupted video or image file on your iPad.
Try to download from the iPad using Image Capture instead and save the photos to a folder. If that succeeds, you can check the files for corruption before importing them to iPhoto.

  • HT1386 removed photos from ipad and itunes still syncing them

I had photos on my PC that I synced to my new iPad.  After a month I decided I wanted less photos on the iPad.  I connected the iPad to the PC and went into iTunes.  Under my d evice, i went to the Photos tab. I unchecked the Sync Photos checkbox.  It showed that the photos were removed from the iPad.  perfect...but then iTunes said "Syncing Photos to Kim's iPad".  It says it is copying photos (960 of them!)
What is it copying where??  help-please

  • Syncing photos from iPad to macbook and vice versa

I recently synced my ipad with my new macbook air. I successfuly imported all my photos from my iPad to iPhoto on my laptop.  However, now everytime I connect my ipad and laptop iPhoto opens and asks me to import all the photos all over again, despite the fact that they are still all there.
I haven't synced my photos with another computer before. I want to be able to add a photo onto my ipad and have it on my laptop and vice versa.
This doesn't have to be done wirelessly, I am happy to only have it happen when I plug them togerther, but I want the same photos on both my laptop and iPad.
I havent really messed around with anything as I am afraid of wiping my photos. I understand that I may have to do this via a third party or something, any help would be great.
    Thanks.

Connect the iPad to your Mac then launch iTunes.
Select the iPad under Devices then select Photos from the menu.
    Deselect:   Sync Photos from
You probably have iPhoto selected from the pop up menu.
Deselecting Sync Photos from should prevent the prompt to sync every time you connect the iPad.

  • Syncing photos from iPad to iMac

I have tried several times to sync my photos from iPad to my computer and I get to a point when the import just stops and it is stuck on the picture and it doesn't finish syncing. Every time I tried to sync, it seems that it creates a duplicate of the photos on my computer that were transfered. Very frustrating. I'm not able to sync all my photos from my iPad.
Any ideas how I could do this?

  • ONLY sync photos from iPad to iMac folder; automatically how?

I have 50 GB of pictures in iPhoto on my iMac (10.8.4) along with an iPhone 5 and an iPad 3.
I would like new pics from the iPhone and iPad to be automatically downloaded into the folder I have set up to get pics from those devices "iPod Photos"
    How do I do this?
Alternatively, I would like the folder "iPod Photos" to stay sync'ed both ways but only with iPhone and iPad.
I do not want my fat pics being sent via my 3G Vodafone account to iCloud etc while I am out and about - ONLY via WiFi when I am home.
Is there a way to set this up?

  • Sync photos from ipad to iphoto

OK - here is my problem.
First - I sync'd my ipad with my imac and put ONE photo album, from iphoto, onto the ipad
Second - I used the photo application on the ipad to create a "new album" on the ipad and i moved a subset of that ONE original photo album into the new album.   So...there were 1000 photos in the original album and I reviewed them and picked the top 200 and they are in the new album.
Third - I want to "transfer" or "sync" that NEW album (with just the 200 photos) back onto my imac iphoto application.   I want to continue to edit the new album with 200 photo's - but I am going to edit them in iphoto on my imac.
I cannot figure out how to do the third thing.   I cannot figure out how to move that new photo album from my ipad to my imac.  The choices provided by the photo application on the ipad are no good - the only possible one is email but this email would be HUGE....200 photos.
    Can anyone figure this out?

    Alex, any response from Apple?
The only solution to this I can think of:
    1. Use PhoneView utility on Mac, to 'view' contents of iPad's photos - including albums.
    2. Drag _each album_ from phone view, to its own folder on Mac. Note, this will result in wasted hard drive space, if a photo on the iPad is in two separate albums. On the iPad it's of course just storing a reference to the actual file, in each album. But when you drag over each album to the Mac, it will copy *all the actual photos* - for each album.
    3. When done, quit PhoneView, open iPhoto. For each album you copied, drag _its folder, named how you want it named_ into the Albums section of iPhoto sidebar. I haven't tested this yet, but I think - iPhoto will create a new album with that name, and try to import those pictures. Of course, it already has the pics. So it'll ask you whether to ignore duplicates. You'll say yes. But then (hopefully) it'll still create the album, with the references to the originals (that it already has), and not import them again. So this part at least is blessedly fast.
Done. But! Then, you'll have to repeat this process *forever*, any and every time in the future, that you make any changes to albums *on the iPad*.
So -- it's like, giving us the ability to create albums *on the iPad* is basically, giving us just enough rope to hang ourselves. There's no way, to get those albums to be 'linked' to albums on iPhoto. It'll always be a static hack/kludge, as I've outlined above -- *if* what I'm suggesting here works, which I'm not sure. I'll be testing this today, for a client who, no surprise, took advantage of this <irony>GREAT</irony> feature on iPad, to be able to create albums on the iPad itself.  <disappointed>Thanks a lot for one more half-baked effort Apple.</d>.
I mean, unless I'm missing something. Super happy to be proved wrong here. But, as far as I can tell there's no way in iTunes (the way to sync), to do this. Doing an internet search for this, i.e.:
        https://duckduckgo.com/?q=transfer+photo+albums+"ipad+to+iphoto"
returns *very few* results, this support discussion being one of them.

  • Delete photos from iPad without iTunes.

How does the photo let you do this?

Not possible with photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process. The only way to delete photos from the iPad that were transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process is via the iTunes sync process - except for erasing all data and settings from your iPad.

  • Sync rating from ipad to itunes

    hi,
when it still was IOS6 i manualy synced my music library from itunes to my ipad with the intenssion to rate all the songs. true time i rated the whole songs list on my ipad and would like to sync the rating with my itunes. i didn't know if that was possible so i started searching the web and found on this community that that is possible to just autosync your itunes library with your ipad. because its almost the whole library that now is on my ipad it wouldn't be a problem if the rest of the songs came with it, so i opened itunes, linked my ipad, waited till the appsync and stuff is done and i went to ipad settings, i go to music and then when i want to check sync music, itunes tell me: "are you sure you want to delete your music, movies, tv-program's, books, tones from your ipad and sync it with this itunes? music, movies, tv-program's, books an tones that are synced with ipad of Meerschaut from an other itunes-library will be deleted and be replaced by parts of this itunes-library" but all songs that are on the ipad came from that library (i never linked my ipad to an other computer) the only thing that happend is that i update my ipad from IOS6... to IOS7.0 als with the latest update from itunes. is there a way i can solve this problem, i don't want to resart rating 10gb an music.
    thanks
    with friendly greetings Meerschaut

  • How can i import photos from ipad to itunes, how can i import photos from ipad to itunes

How can I import photos from my iPad to iTunes on my Windows Vista PC?

I'm puzzled!  I had received a set of jpg files through an e-mail on my ipad.  For reasons unknown to me, they got saved to my (only) album, that had an irrelevant name.  When I tried to change the name of the album, I received a message that I could only change the name of the album after importing them to the computer where (as I recall) iTunes resided.  After much huffing and puffing, I managed to import the photos, to the Windows computer, but they wound up in a Windows Photo Gallery directory, where I put them into an appropriately named album.  Now, how do I get them back to the iPad.  (I also learned, I think, that iTunes will have nothing to do with the photos.

  • Syncing photos from ipad 3 to new pc

I recently bought a new computer and I am trying to sync my ipad to it. It sync'ed and the ipad has been backed up, but for some reasons its not syncing my new photos on it. I keep getting a message asking me if I want to " The ipad is synced with another itunes library and if i want to erase this ipad and sync with this library." I am worried that if i press "erase and sync" that I will delete all of my pics and I have some very important pics that I cant lose on their. When I hit cancel, it syncs the ipad, but doesnt sync my photos.
    Help please!
    Christy

What you are saying does not make any sense at all to me. If you already synced with the computer all of your iPad content would be in iTunes and you would not be getting the "erase" message. You are not explaining everything or you are misunderstanding something about the process.
How do you know that you successfully synced with this iTunes library? It can't be syncing the iPad of you hit cancel. Furthermore, you can't sync photos into iTunes, you have to import them onto your computer - in Windows I think you use the Camera Wizard or whatever its called in Windows.
This is want you should do if you want to sync with a new computer. This was written for the iPhone, but works the same way for the iPad.
