Sync photos from iTunes 0 photos yet my iPhone has 2546 photos

I have an iphone 5 all software is up to date.
My problem is that when I use iTunes to sync my phone I have zero (0) photos selected from iphoto to be synced yet I have over 2500 photos on my phone.
1. My question is do I have to manually delete the photos from my phone?
2. Why doesn't the phone sync to (0) photos when I don't select any photos in itunes/iphoto to be synced?
3.  Music works fine, I uncheck my music and no music syncs why don't the photos work the same way?
Thanks

Where are the photos on your iPhone?  Are they in your Camera Roll?  If so, then they aren't affected by an iTunes sync.

You cannot drag pics from computer to iphone.  This has never been a feature of iphone.
You sync them as you would anything esle.
You select photos from the photos tab.  Whatever is selected will be on your iphone.  Anything not selected will not be. Make sure that everything you want on your iphone is selected, then sync.

  • Ive had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been using my laptop to sync songs from iTunes.  Unfortunatley, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do i now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?

I've had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been connecting it to my laptop to sync any downloaded tunes from iTunes.  Unfortunately, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do I now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?

If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.
    For info:
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

  • HT3965 When trying to sync songs from Itunes account to new Iphone 5s I lost everything on there...HELP

I just got an Iphone 5s.  I plugged it into my computer to transfer all my songs from my Ipod Touch.  When I did it erased everything on my phone...contacts, pictures, everything...Can this be undone????

This didn't happen by just by syncing your iPhone with iTunes.
The first time a new iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the new iPhone, or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
Sounds like you selected to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to your new iPhone. All data included with the backup is replaced by the backup for the device you chose to transfer to your iPhone, which includes contacts and photos/videos in the Camera Roll. Any music or apps that were downloaded with the iPhone can be redownloaded.
You manually entered all contacts on the iPhone, or are you accessing an email account on the iPhone that supports syncing contacts over the air?

  • I cant sync songs from iTunes to my connected iphone.

    Hello from Germany!!!!!!
I am using an iphone 5 (updated to the newest version) and a Windows-7-Notebook (Samsung Series 9) with iTunes (also updated to the newest version).
When I try to sync a song to my connected iphone, the bar ist stuck in the middle, it doesn't continue with the transfer and after a while, a window pops up saying that the time limit is exceeded, tha transfer is interrupted.
I tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes, I also tried using another USB-Port, I also deleted a maxdome Veri-Sign-App that is running at startup (many users in Germany suggest that this may be the problem), but nothing worked.
Any1 can help me with a reasonable solution?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

  • Can't sync music from iTunes onto my new iPhone 4s

I got a new iPhone 4s through work and already have 3 iPod touches at home that sync fine on our Win7 laptop with iTunes. When I plug my new phone into my home laptop and try to drag/drop the music over onto my iPhone icon, it just shows a circle with a slash through it and won't let me sync the music.
No explanation is provided - just the "can't sync" icon. Really frustrating and not at all user friendly!
    Please help.

  • Trying to sync photos from iTunes (via iPhoto) to ipad and iPhone. The  Photo tab does not show up and no sync occurs

Trying to sync photos from iphoto to ipad and iphone.  Photo tab does not show up in itunes under devices.

    I had a similar problem (https://discussions.apple.com/message/24525903#24525903)
The solution in my case was to start iPhoto and let it update the library, even thu itunes was set up to sync with Aperture.

  • I sync photos from my comp onto my iphone 5 and it made my phone create two new albums which won't delete. HOW DO I DELETE THEM?

I uploaded photos from my laptop onto my iPhone 5 through iTunes and when I went into my photos app on my phone, I went into "Camera Roll" to see if they were there which they weren't. So I went to where all the albums in my photos app are and I saw that two new albums called "iPhone" (name of folder with photos in I wanted to transfer that was in my documents before I sync them) and "Photo Library". When I went into both albums I wanted to see if I could delete them, so just like every other photo there is a trash can on the bottom right corner but for the photos in these albums didn't have it. I then went back to the list of albums and clicked on edit, hoping the little red circle with a white line would come up so I could delete it, just like I do with any other album, but these two albums didn't give me the option to delete. I tried going into iTunes to see if I could delete the few selected photos from there but it wouldn't let me. I tried going into the devices thing which was suggested for iPhone 4s people but it didn't have everything else people told me to do. I am an extreamly fussy person and want them to go away but I just can't delete them because they won't let me. Is there anyone who has been through the same situation and ended up deleting the albums off their phone? PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!! (I'm not talking about albums we choose to make because that's easy and actually lets me delete them as these two albums won't)

This is normal and is how Apple handles photos.
    There are NOT duplicate photos.
Just as a song is in your itunes library and you can access that exact same song from a playlist,  all  photos synced to iphone are in the photo library and those exact same photos (NOT duplicates) can be accessed from the individual albums.
It is working exactly as it should.

Yes, you can.  If syncing on a Mac with iPhoto version 6.0.6 or later, you may enable the option to "Include videos" to sync videos directly from iPhoto to your device. (Requires iOS 3.0 or later).
