Sync Photos - Problem if select a folder

If I try sync photos on my PC with my Ipod Video - 80Gb selecting Photoshop Album, and All photos and albums, no problems.
But, If I try select a specific folder, iTunes do the sync process; in the capacity bargraph appear Photo 8,4Mb (it consider that photos was sync) but, in the Ipod I cant see the photos: I select Photos and just appear Slideshow Settings and nothing more.....
Any suggestion ?
Where the photos synchronized with my Ipod ?
I have 2983 photos in my PC and just want to sync 200 or 300....

Phil explained it to you, but maybe to clarify a bit more, the "folders" become "albums" in the Photos App, just like Phil is saying. As long as you keep them in the main photos folder, and they remain selected (checked) to sync, they will be included in each subsequent sync.
IF... You want to remove them from the iPad, you can either remove them from the main photos folder in your computer, or simply "uncheck" them in the Photos Tab of iTunes. Just deselect them from the main syncing folder and when you sync that will erase them from the iPad. So there is no real need to remove that folder of photos from you main photos folder.

Try deleting the iPod Photos Cache folder. There may be more than one. For its location see:
iTunes: Photo sync creates iPod Photo Cache folder
Also, go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and make sure syncing photos is unchecked.

  • Sync photo problem.....!!!!

i face a problem ....that about sync photo, once i done choose the folder and click the apply, it will come out a blank to ask me wanna remove all my application or not...does anyone tell me ? what happen to it???help me pls!!!

If you mean the photos that you had previously synced were replaced by those that you've just synced, then that is how it works.  You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

  • Sync Photos in iTunes selects 0 photos

I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
    Any thoughts?
Oh, and if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
    Any thoughts?

I solved the mystery. It had to do with the file metadata in the Photoshop Elements catalog. When I moved the catalog (pictures) from my old machine to the new machine, the path (folder location) of the images changed. So, although the catalog had cached thumbnails of the photos to display in Photoshop Elements (which tricked me into thinking that the path to the images was correct), the paths were actually wrong. All I had to do was “reconnect” the missing images (a feature in Photoshop Elements which corrects missing/wrong paths to images) and now everything works correctly (sync in iTunes).

  • ONLY sync photos from iPad to iMac folder; automatically how?

I have 50 GB of pictures in iPhoto on my iMac (10.8.4) along with an iPhone 5 and an iPad 3.
I would like new pics from the iPhone and iPad to be automatically downloaded into the folder I have set up to get pics from those devices "iPod Photos"
    How do I do this?
Alternatively, I would like the folder "iPod Photos" to stay sync'ed both ways but only with iPhone and iPad.
I do not want my fat pics being sent via my 3G Vodafone account to iCloud etc while I am out and about - ONLY via WiFi when I am home.
Is there a way to set this up?

  • IPhone, Sync, Photos problem.

Basically my problem is when I try to sync photos onto my iPhone it says there is no memory left, but however I have over 200 mb of space free, and the file Im trying to sync is 1.5 mb, I even copied the actually picture of the website to see if it was the pictures fault, So it seems iTunes thinks my iPhone is full but it isn't. Any ideas? I've tried most solutions already.

200Mb isn't very much - the phone needs quite a bit of space for its operation. It should transfer 1.5Mb but start by clearing about a load of the unused Apps and video first and then see if it sync's back.

  • I photo-problem printing selected phots

Hi, Recently purchased a i Mac 21 which is a delight. However the bundled i Photo is giving me some problems.
I now have several "events, albums and slideshows" but I can't print an selected photo.
Following Print Command, the options window does not appear and advised that a print is not possible without selecting a theme.
As the option to select a themeis not there, how do I resolve this problem.
    Thanks for youir assistance.
    Regards,
    Bruce

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Automaticly sync photos from iphone to shared folder on windows server 2012 r2

    Hey,
I'm making photo's of cars for a company and we got a server running locally. I make photo's with my iPhone and i used to use dropbox for auto syncing pictures with the dropbox cloud and access from my pc.
Since dropbox is too slow and we got a server running with big amounts of storage i want my iPhone to sync with my server instead of my dropbox. i already got a shared folder and a network drive for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Marc

The slow is more than likely your cell and or network service provider however this one may help.

  • Trouble syncing photos with PSE7 (and the folder issue)

Here's a brief history on what I've done up to now:
I've had Photoshop Elements 7 installed for a while and I installed the PSE8 trial over top of it. I converted the catalog, and everything sync-wise was fine. After it exprired last night, however, I uninstalled it, and tried to revert back to PSE7. I added some photos to the catalog...
And there's where my troubles started. When I went back into iTunes to sync with PSE, it showed all of the albums I have previously made in PSE8, even though I uninstalled it. I managed to track down where the PSE8 copy of the catalog from where it was hiding, and deleted it.
Now, it doesn't even pick up any catalog anymore. Worse, when I sync my photos with PSE, it give me "iPod "" cannot be synced. The required folder cannot be found.". It does NOT give me this message when I sync with custom folders, but I strongly prefer to NOT do it that way and to do so with PSE7 instead.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, restarted computer, nothing helps.
Does anyone know of a fix so that iTunes sees my catalog again? (Yes, I even deleted all instances of "iPod Photo Cache" from my computer too. Didn't help.)

Nevermind, seems I posted this in the wrong place.

  • Sync contact problem - cant select merge after remove.

Hello, i just synchronized my contacts with iphone and windows contacts. There was written messege what i did not understand well. So it deleded all of my contacts. There have to be written in RED color - this will delete all of your contacts in IPHONE!! Now when i restored, which was big problem, because itunes always started to sync my contact after iphone connected to itunes. I clicked on cross in upper menu to stop it. So i have my contacts now, but when i use the sync again (now i want merge) it will start automaticly replacing contacts again. How to setup merge again??? Thank you

The warning message doesn't have to be in red. For many people a warning message could be provided which includes a hand that comes out of the iPhone and slaps them across the face and they would still ignore the warning message.
Rule number one with a computer or such a device, when a warning message is provided that you don't understand, decline or cancel until you do understand the warning message provided.
You can disable automatic syncing with iTunes when your iPhone is connected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, or iTunes includes a global setting for this when any iPod or iPhone is connected at iTunes > Preferences under the Devices tab.
Before syncing contacts available on your iPhone with an empty compatible address book application, on your computer, enter one contact in the address book application on your computer - in this case with Windows Contacts. This will or should provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

  • Can't sync "Photos from iPhoto selected albums"

I used to be able to see all my iPhoto albums through the iTunes sync to get them on my iPhone. Now I can't see them and that option seems not to be available. I'd really like to just be able to sync some albums but not all and this way I can make a nice composite album of puppy pictures to load onto my iPhone. Any suggestions. I tried rebuilding my iPhoto library but that didn't help.
    chelly

Well, i have the latest version of itunes installed and I think it's only about a week or two old so it actually has been reinstalled recently. I also just noticed that the option isn't available to sync albums to my appleTV either. This is annoying.

  • Using iTunes to sync photos from selected albums grayed out

After I connect my iPhone 4 (running iOS 6) to my iMac, launch iTunes, select the iPhone device, then select Photos, I am unable to choose Sync Photos from iPhoto "Selected albums, Events, and Faces, and automatically include Events."  The radio button is grayed out on my primary iMac.  It is not grayed out when I connect the iPhone to my MacBook Air or to another Mac which means it is a problem specific to this one computer (running OSX 10.8.2 and the latest iPhoto and iTunes). I have looked all through the discussions and cannot find a solution to this problem. As suggested in the discussions, I've tried deleting the plists, creating a new account on the iMac and trying it there (it is grayed out there as well), re-installing iPhoto and iTunes, all to no avail. Advice welcome.  Thanks.

  • Can't sync photos please help

Set up folder under My Pictures entitled photos for iphone. Only want to sync those photos. When I plug in my iphone to sync, under photos I can see a button for 'selected folder' but it won't let me select that button. AND it only wants to let me sync photos from photoshop elements, which is irrelevant to my wanting to sync from a folder....
had no problems syncing to my ipod from this same folder. Yes, I read the previous post about photo syncing and I deleted the ipod cache subfolder already. still can't sync....
the manual says you can sync just one folder within your documents on your PC, but I can't figure out how to make it happen. Am on a bit of a deadline, since 'need' these photos before October 13, when I leave for a college reunion.
    help!!!!

Okay. I figured out how to sync photos. This time, I tried the radio button both before the sync (no luck) but again after the sync was finished - when ITunes said I could disconnect my iphone...NOW, but only when the sync was finished, was I able to get the toggle to work next to Sync Photos from - to select a particular folder on my computer. Synced the 14 photos that I wanted to sync.
Next question: how do I reorder the photos in the album? They aren't even in the same order as in the folder on my PC.

  • Sync Photos issues

I have a few issues with the sync Photos process.
    1. After choosing to sync photos from a particular folder ('My Pictures' by default) I'm seeing that it will not include photos that are in 'My Pictures' if there are subfolders in 'My Pictures'. For example, say I have a 'My Pictures' folder and two subfolders 'Vacation1' and 'Vacation2'. I have pictures in both subfolders and also in the 'My Pictures' folder itself. When I choose the 'All Photos' radio button under 'Sync photos' (instead of 'Selected folders') it ignores the pictures that are in 'My Pictures' and only uses the pictures in the subfolders. This seems like inconsistent behavior.
    2. I'm finding the need to only sync with one folder branch to be very limiting. Essentially iTunes is dictating to me how I have to organize my images on my hard drive if I want to load them in my device. Ideally I'd like to sync across various folders on various drives because my images are stored that way due to the fact that they are linked to various projects, etc. Can this be done; am I overlooking something? What would be ideal is if the 'Sync photos' checkbox had the option to add multiple folders.

iTunes has nothing to do with the importing of photos from the Camera Roll. Those are imported from the iPhone to the computer with Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can also access it with Windows Explorer, select the phone in the list of removable drives or cameras and that will do it.
If Windows is not recognizing the iPhone connected to it, then you need to look at this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
Follow instructions there to see if you can get Windows to recognize the phone is connected. The last step is to completely remove iTunes and reinstall it. To remove it in Windows, follow the instructions in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
