Sync prob of updatin info from WDM to smb.conf using smb protocol

Hi,
I would appreciate if somebody could help me as i'm trying hard to solve my server's problem but could not find any solutions. My Mac OSX Server is running as a Dual 2.3GHZ PowerPC G5 and the current version is 10.4.11. When i tried to create a new sharepoint volume which is located at the XServe Raid or editing the permissions of the existing sharepoint volume, it was not able to update the smb.conf and i was not able to view the volumes using 'smb' command. I'm not sure if this lies with the synchronization problem between the workgroup manager and smb.conf file. From the Server Admin under the Window service, there's an error message displayed as follow:
/SourceCache/samba/samba-100.12/samba/source/smbd/service.c:make_connection(805)
Is there any way where i could fix the files as I have no idea of where the files reside in the system?

Don't know what your issue has to do with 'Using Mac OS X Tiger'. That is the forum you've posted in but I see you are running 10.5 Leopard. Perhaps posting in the 'Mac OS X Server' forum would help.

You can use another iPhone (or iPad) to restore it too, or you can login to www.icloud.com (assumng you weer using iCloud) and export your contacts from there.

Can the creators of themes get into your computer or take info from your computer if you use said theme?

Yes I compiled and ran the code as a Java applet, nothing happened. I was expecting a write error becase java applets are not inally allowed to write to a file. Yes I have file a Stuff.txt in the same directory as the program. No, nothing happened to the file, it stays blank.

If it does not extend applet then I get a class cast exception when I try to compile it as an applet.

HT1386 I have 2 iPhones. One is not recognized in iTunes. I think I may have synced it with the info from the other. How do I get it to be recognized?

My wife's iPhone is not operational, so I thought I would give her my retired one. I assumed that if I synced her phone info into iTunes, I could just sync the same info into the retired iPhone for her use. Thanks for your help, but i cannot borrow a noral sim card now, my family has all up graded to iPhone 4s's, i have done this before, but one of my family had the same type of iphone so i could use theirs. Now i am the only one who still holds on to their old phone... I am not sure about buying an adapter...

Sync Issue: No new info from last backup.

My last backup of the 3g iphone was June 9. Today I brought home the 3gS and restored (since backup date). However...
I have re-synced and I can't seem to get anything on the phone that was added since June 9th.
Everything else seems to be there (apps, etc).
Any ideas?

1st
Flat File --> Full Load --> ODS1
then
ODS1 > initialize with data transfer> ODS2
then
ODS2 > initialize with data transfer> IndoCube
2nd
Flat File --> next Full Load --> ODS1
then
ODS1 > delta> ODS2
then
ODS2 > delta> IndoCube
3rd after that you have deleted data mart and request from Infocube, ODS2, ODS1.

Syncing itouch loses artist info from itunes

Albums are being shown as various artists in my iTouch even though they have been changed to the particular artist in iTunes i.e. Queens Greatest Hits shows as Queen in iTunes but Various Artists on the iTouch. Have resynced with the same results.

Check the *Album Artist* field, likely says "Various Artists". It is probably tagged as "Part of a Compilation" too, so you can un-check that option as well. However, some people interpret a Greatest Hits album as a Compilation, but I prefer to use that designation for albums that have multiple artists, not a collection of songs from one artist.
Such errors come from the Gracenote CDDB database that iTunes reads when you rip a CD. I make a habit of checking the tags before I import a CD, but you can always go back in later to make the correction.

I tried to sync some new songs bought from iTunes into my ipod using my laptop, (for the first time). It would not add the new songs to the ipod. I tried several times, with same result. I never had this problem using my desk top computer.

I also am having a problem with the songs I purchased using the laptop not showing on the desk top itunes, even though it is authorized to do so. The new songs did show up on the iPad iTunes, however. Have no idea why. I thought this happened automatically.

Mail. How can I copy the sender and date info from the Header like I used to do in Lion?

I used to find it very useful to drag and highlight all the info in the header of the email including sender, cc, date, subject etc to be able to paste in into other docs as reminders of who sent what when. Now I have to do 2 copy/pastes. Not a deal killer but makes my life just that little bit more unnecessarily complicated.

There is usually a toolbar button in the editor to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button). 
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink. 
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each.

Can I sync all the contact info with Ovi Suite 3.0...

Is there a way to sync all my contact info from my N900?
For example I have Skype, Google Talk and jabber account linked to almost all of my contacts, but I can not see or edit them from the Nokia Ovi Suite.
I'm afraid that I will loose some contact information, if I use the syncing more + now it messed up with my contact in my phone and created multiple instances of some persons.

FieldPoint Explorer is no longer used to configure FieldPoint systems. However, I do not think that the configuring your system in FieldPoint Explorer is causing the error.
FieldPoint systems are now setup in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Information on setting up FieldPoint systems in MAX can be found in the MAX help under: Installed Products>> FieldPoint. Also, I recommend upgrading to the latest FieldPoint driver and version of MAX. The FieldPoint VI's will be slightly different when you upgrade, so there is a good chance that this will eliminate the error.

Was unable to load data class info from sync services. try again later.

Since installing the latest version of itunes (11.1.5.5) whenever I have either mine or my wife's iphones (4 and 5c, both with the latest 7.1.1) turned on and I start iTunes, I receive the error message saying that itunes was unable to load data class info from sync services. try again later.
If I leave the phones turned off and open iTunes, I am able to sync my old ipod so it appears to be an issue with the software on the phones?
I'm just not sure where to start. I've made sure that itunes has the latest version and no more updates are available.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
