Sync problem from Tour 9630 to iCal

I just upgraded from a Curve to Tour 9630, v.4.7.1.57. I previously used the Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac to sync and back up all my info. Now I find that while my calendar entries from iCal sync to my Tour, the calendar entries from my Tour do not sync into iCal on my iMac. Any ideas on what may be the problem? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Might want to check if there are multiple calendars setup on the BlackBerry. I have seen this cause calendar entries created on the device to not sync back to the Mac in both BDM and Missing Sync...Limiting the BlackBerry to one email calendar has worked well for me.

    File>Devices>Transfer Purchases will transfer the itunes purchases to your ocmputer.
    You should sync your ipod to your computer regularly.

    We run Windows 7 here at work and when she goes to sync her iphone calendar to her laptop calendar some of the information is not transferring over.  Yesterday we synced and everything was correct on both calendars but when we went back in today there were missing appts on the laptop calendar that were synced yesterday.

    I am  having a sync problem but I don't believe many who are offering answers understand the issue.  I write/make/create a 'new' contact on my IPHONE 4 address book.  I wait for it to sync over air.  Yes, on my MAC and on my IPHONE I have it set up to sync over air.  That is what it says on the INFO tab on the IPHONE page of the Itunes when I connect the IPHONE to my MAC.
    No, I will not turn off the over air sync, I do not want multiple duplicates of my addresses!
    On my IPAD I have no problems, my notes sync, my address book syncs but it does not do it from Iphone to MAC???

    I did read the post. I was simply explaining that Contacts does not sync with the OTA Sync function, it syncs via iCloud if you want to sync wirelessly....
    The OTA Sync option on the Info page has nothing to do with the iCloud syncing of your Contacts....
    Try deleting your iCloud account on your iPhone and signing on again. Once you have signed iCloud back on, make sure all the options you want checked are checked, and then try it again. (When you delete it, you will get a message that it will delete your Photo Stream and Document but don't worry, when you sign back on, they will come back).

  • Mercedes Bluetooth does not recognize waits from Tour 9630

    My Tour 9630 pairs with my Mercedes BlueTooth and my contacts transfer over but numbers with a wait inserted will not dial properly.  It appears that the Bluetooth recognizes the wait (w) as a pause (p).  When I hit send the Bluetooth dials right through all of the string of numbers without stopping or waiting.  I used this with other phones and never had any problems.  If someone know a fix I would appreciate it. 

    No, can't find anything about BT in the Control Panel, it's like I wouldn't have any BT device at all installed.
    I saw that the laptop comes with the Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba and I read in some Logitech forum that BT stack for windows by toshiba is not compatible with the logitech software (SetPoint)... so I don't know what to do next...

    They seem to be showing fine in my library but are not syncing onto my ipod Nano because 'they could not be found' (100+) and 'the audio format is not supported.' (17+) Any advice?

    Yeh I copied the entire Itunes folder, it has these items inside:

    Itunes Media
    itunes Music Library.xml
    previous itunes libraries.
    Just tried launching with option key held down, selected the Itunes file and again it hasn't loaded all the music into Itunes ? ? ?

    You do not manually choose any tracks. You can't even drag songs to a Smart playlist.
    If you follow the steps above, it will create a playlist of the size you choose, with random songs from your library.
    You can set (or not) the criteria you want, such as not longer than 4 minutes, or of a certain Genre.
    Do you know of an email address I can send some of my questions directly to Apple's team - maybe specifically their software development group?

    I am new to Ipods so I am hoping this is an easy question. When I plug my Ipod into the computer, click on the Music tab for my Ipod and then click on the Sync music box I get a warning message that says: "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPod will be removed and replaced with songs in my library" The problem is that I don't want to loose the songs on the iPod, I would like to sync them both and keep all the songs. Any ideas on how to get around this would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

    If your iPod has songs on it that are not in iTunes then you can't auto Sync, you have to operate your iPod in manual mode. You can only Sync iTunes and the iPod if you keep all your music on your computer.
    For info:
    The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences.
    iTunes 7
    Connect your iPod to your computer and when it appears in the Source list click on it to show the preference tabs in the main pane. Choose one of the following options and click "Apply".
    1) Sync Music - All songs and Playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method. You'll find this in the Music Tab.
    2) Sync Music - Selected playlists. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer. You'll find this in the Music Tab.
    3) Manually manage music and videos. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod. You'll find this in the Summary Tab.
    Note: When changing from automatic to manual, check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting.

  • Sync problem From DV-PAL 24fps from AVID

    Hi,
    I have received a DV-PAL file from an Avid media composer. The file is an export at 24fps. When i play it with quicktime there is no problem but when i import it to FCP, the file is not in sync.
    It appears in the parameters that the file is considered at 23,98fps in FCP and not 24fps.
    I tried to trash preferences and rebot but it didn't solve the problem.

    When i open in quicktime and hit command-i ; it's 24fps.
    I'm working sound, and i just wanted to change the original sound of the quicktime movie and put a "premix", made in protools. Everything was in sync in protools but not in FCP.
    I succeeded to put the sound with the image at the correct speed, staying in quicktime with the "paste" function.
    But, i now want to understand why the file didn't play in sync in FCP so i'm trying to investigate.
    I've just begin a conversion in apple prores422 10 bits. i will report back

    Also, why wouldn't it update the the play-count and last-played date? Another bug?
    How about the iTunes upgrade that took away the feature which would actually randomize the songs with the shuffle toggle so I can load my iPod with a completely random list? Now I have to go into Party Shuffle and grab randomized lists from there - but only 100 at a time.. Why 100 as a limit when my iPod can hold so many more?
    While of the subject of questions, why doesn't the forum registration form properly support Google's AutoFill functionality? And what's with the funky tab-order?

    I managed to download the music I purchased from iTunes to my Macbook Pro. I also managed to sync the music with my iPhone 5 so that I have all purchased music on the iPhone. However, I fail to sync the same music from the Macbook to my iPad 4. Any clue?

    If you don't know what iTunes Match is, you don't use it. You have to subscribe to it before you can use it and I'm sure you would've remembered that. So that rules that one out.
    if you have two different Apple ID's - and I mean two different Apple ID's that you have purchased content with, you have to be signed into that account on your iPad in order to sync that content from iTunes.
    Podcasts used to appear in the Music App, IIRC but then Apple released a podcast app a while back. If you don't have the podcast app look in the Music App in the More button at the bottom of the screen to see if the podcast is in there. If it is a video podcast look in the Videos App for it.
    When you connect your iPad to your Mac, after iTunes is running and you have clicked on your device name in the left sidebar, you want to look in the iTunes window on the right side in order to see what is synced to your device. There is a row of tabs across the top of the window, Summary, Info, Apps, etc.
    Click on Music and you should see something like this. I sync selected items - not my entire iTunes library.
    Are you seeing this when you sync with iTunes?

    I assume you are syncing cal's through iTunes. While I am not sure how to solve your problem, I'd recommend using Google Exchange to sync your contacts. It works in real time and uses your gmail credentials to do so.
