Sync Problem with Outlook and Blackberry Calendars

I am hoping someone has an "easy" solution to this problem.
I am using Desktop Sync (BIS) and synching it to my work Outlook 2007 mailbox.
Normally my calendar entries should sync to the Blackberry calendar associated with my work email address. Somehow, over the course of the past several days, some of my syncing was occuring with the the VZW Blackberry calendar. I didn't catch the problem in time and now I have work calendar entries correctly listed on my Blackberry, but in two different calendars.
I have since lost some of those entries originally created in Outlook. They are on the Blackberry, but on the wrong Calendar. When I sync with Desktop, the work entries on the VZW Calendar are not getting over to Outlook.
So the question is - is there a way to "move" the entries in one BB calendar, over to the other calendar? Thanks.

I would love to know the answer to this problem as well.  I had the same problem even when I downgraded back to 5.0.  It always worked fine before.  Very Frustrating.  To get around it clearing out all the settings on my handheld.  I just have to click no every time it asks if I want to clear all databases on the phone before sync.  It still syncs but doesn't change my settings.  Annoying but works until they get this aggravation fixed.

  • Calendar syncing problems with outlook and iphone

Months and months ago I had the following window pop up when I go to sync my phone:
"synching with iphone will change more than XX% of your calendars"
First I have to say the vagueness of Apples messages is disappointing.  This message does not convey to me exactly what its going to do if I accept the message.  This is my first apple product and I love my iphone, but itunes and everything related to the PC is disappointing!  Anyway, I have been hitting cancel because when I attempt to lookup the problem online in a Google search I don't find any quick definitive answers.  I no longer use outlook on this computer, so I want all the calendar entries in the phone to remain the same.  I've attempted to uncheck calendar syncing and get the following message:
"Itunes will no longer sync calendars to the Iphone.  Would you like itunes to remove calendars previously synced to you iphone"
Once again, the infamous apple user friendliness I've heard so much about doesn't seam to be true!  This message is so vague.  What calendars is it going to remove, the ones on the pc or the phone?  And why would it remove anything, I just want it to stop syncing.  Urg, frustraded.  Any help is appreciated!  Thanks.

Originally all of Apple products were intended for use with Mac computers. Macs have default program - iCal to sync calendars. Windows default program is ironically Microsoft Outlook. There couple more options in iTunes for
calendar sync, but those need to be chosen and not default.
In your particular situation since you don't have outlook anymore, you don't need to make any changes. No outlook - no sync. Apple way - no user interference nessesary.
Please do remember that everyting I write is just my opinion, nothing more or less.

  • Sync problems with outlook 2007 calender

I am new in this type of comms.
BUT: I have a Palm Tungsten T5; have Palm Desktop 6.2.2 with the update for Windows7.
I have a sync problem with outlook 2007 calender; contacts, ToDo, memos all ok.
HotSynLog says: there are multi-day repeating records. [i knew that they do not sync, hence i deleted them PRIOR to syncing]
I found the listed records BUT either on dif days and they are "no timed" ones! and NOT multi-days ones.
I deleted them anyway - did a re-sync. With no different result. Still listed - though deleted and now non-existent.
Error code: OLERR: 03-000F (0xaf604005) and others - if this means anything.

    Hello,
I receive email on my device from two addresses: 1) @sprint.blackberry.net and 2) @charter.net.  When I was having problems similar to those you are experiencing, I had these two addresses listed under Default Services - Calendar (CICAl) - Messaging (CMIME).  These addresses were @sprint.blacberry.net and @charter.net. Once I followed the steps previously referenced, only one email address(@sprint.blackberry.net) appeared under the (CICAI) and (CMMIE) default setting.  Reference to @charter.net was removed.  My syncs have worked correctly since then; however, I only two way synce with the device and Outlooks.  I also continue to get emails from both addresses without a problem.
If you don't mind giving up the Yahoo calendar, I would do the same.  If you want to continue using the Yahoo calendar, I'm guessing that it must be selected in the Default Services - Calendar (CICAI) before performing a sync.  Likewise for your @sprint.blackberry.net address; it also must be selected in the Default Services prior to performing a device to Outlook sync.
    I hope this helps.

  • Problems with outlook and address book contacts: my outlook contacts had around 3,000 entries. Outlook duplicated by itself and now outlook and address book have each over 340,000. What should I do?

Problems with outlook and address book contacts: my outlook contacts had around 3,000 entries. Outlook duplicated entries and have now 340,000. I reinstalled microsoft office and, thus, outlook, and reinstalled mac OS X system and applications. While I managed to delete outlook contacts so that I can re-sync with my blackberry, the contacts at Mac Address Book were not deleted and still have over 340,000 entries. I do not mind deleting all contacts since I have back up, but I have not been able to delete them. Also, when I go at Address Book and try to delete or merge duplicated entries, the system takes forever and never ends because of such large amount of entries. Worse, when I do so I run out of RAM memory.
My Macbook pro is just 2 months old.
What should I do? Is there a way to delete my Mac Address Book without having the problem above?
    Many thanks

  • Outlook and Blackberry Calendar

I really want an calendar that will sync with my blackberry that I do not have to go online to use. I'm thinking of purchasing Outlook 07 for my laptop. My question is, I realize this is an email program also. I do not have to be online to manage and use the calendar part of the program, right? And outlook does sync with a blackberry (I have 8900)? Thanks for the help.
Edited to correct grammar and now I'm editing because I realize what I've said is confusing. So here is additonal explanation.
I knew I didn't explain that well enough. I know that I can sync with yahoo calendar and google calendar with my blackberry. I want to be able to share info between my device and my computer. I have no problems using google or yahoo calendars on my laptop. They are both excellent calendar programs. The problem is the internet is not really reliable at school and also they have gotten much stricter about which sites we can access and which ones we can't. I've heard that yahoo is now off limits so that means that calendar can't be used at school. That leaves google calendar which is fine just as long as the internet isn't down. There are times when I have my laptop available and not my blackberry so I do want my life on my computer also. If I can't get online on my computer, I'm up a creek. So in essence, do you have to be on the internet on your laptop in order to access the calendar functions in outlook?

    Hi Kairo'sgrammy!
Outlook 2007 will sync with your Blackberry just fine. You will have equal calendars on both the PC and the BB.
Two big changes to think about.
    1) When syncing with Yahoo or Google online calendars, you have immediate transfer of data. If you updated Google
online calendar, or your Blackberry it would synch automatically, and vice versa.
    2) With Outlook the synchronization takes place when you run the desktop manager sync program.
Example. You enter a meeting on the Outlook PC calendar for a 9:00 apt. Later you use your Blackberry
to enter an appointment for an 11:00am meeting. Both appointments are not visible on either calendar
until you run the synchronize program. I usually run it a night after work. All appointments from the PC and
Blackberry calendar are synchronized on both devices, and reflected for the next day.
You synchronize the Outlook calendar and the BB calendar through the default email address on both.
Let me know if this makes sense!
Thanks. Someone on a delphiforum mentioned that you can sync google with outlook so if you are wirelessly synced with google on your blackberry phone, that might work to update outlook. I've got outlook on order and amazon is sending it via pony express, LOL, so I'll be able to figure out more then. Whether it does or doesn't sync wireless is fine with me. Syncing physically and daily works for me. The sync does work well with google and blackberry as far as calendar stuff goes. It won't sync memo stuff or task stuff wirelessly. If I want google to know a task, I put it in the calendar seeing as I schedule most tasks anyway. If I don't, I get too wishy washy about them.

  • Sync problems with Outlook

    Hi all.
Just got me.com up and running (trial) and almost everything work as it should. However I cannot get me.com to sync folders with Outlook. At me.com I have Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Trash folders. But in Outlook 2007 I only got Inbox and Unwanted-mail folders. If I delete a message in my Inbox at me.com the message is moved to Trash, but in Outlook there's a line through the header in the Inbox, probably because there is no Trash folder.
Anyone knows what could be wrong and how to solve this problem?
    Best regards,
    Michael
P.S. Sometimes I get an errormessage from Outlook saying, that folders cannot be synced, because there is no connection to the me.com server?

one of the recurrent event in your Outlook calendar is faulty. Find it and delete it or modify it.

  • I fixed my Calendar syncing problems with Outlook

I have fixed my "1 day out" syncing with Outlook.
The solution below worked for me, but if you are unsure or a bit dubious then please take advice first....I'm far from a computor genius !!
When I first downloaded 9.1.1.12 mine didn't work either for all the current calendar entries, but it did work for anything new.
    So here's what I did.
Firstly if you have your i-Tunes set to "auto sync" when you connect your i-Phone then disable that. That's very important. Then in Outlook create a new calendar and just name it "calendar 2" or something. The new calendar will be completely blank. Then connect your i-Phone as normal. When you have the syncing page on i-Tunes in front of you click on the "info" tab and scroll down to the calendar section. Here you have the option to sync all calendars or selected calendars. After a while the new calendar you have created should appear in the calendar section. Check the box that says "sync selected calendars" and then check the box next to the newly created calendar, making sure the original calendar is not checked. Then scroll down further to the advanced area of the page where you can select information to be synced and check the calendar box. This area allows one way syncing from Outlook to the i-Phone. Once this is done click "apply" and the phone will start to sync. When finished your i-Phone calendar will be completely blank. Now go back to Outlook and "copy" your original calendar into the new calendar. Once this is done go back to the sync section in i-Tunes and repeat the sync again making sure the new calendar is selected only to sync and the calendar box in the advanced section is checked also. This will then sync your calendar back to your i-Phone correctly, well at least it all worked for me. Ideally it's best to then delete the original calendar from Outlook leaving only the newly created one there but I'm not sure it's always possible to delete the original one so just make sure you always use the new one and that when syncing you always have the new calendar selected.
I hope this helps some of you if you're still having problems.
My PC uses Microsoft Vista with Office 2003 and I have an i-Phone 3.1.3

  • 8130 Calendar sync problems with Outlook 2007

I have Sprint 8130...and all is okay...until today.  I am used to Active sync (from my old HTC Mogul), not RIM software.  When I sync'd a week ago, the first time, all was great (accept for the confusion I still have about where the inet explorer favorites went).  Today, I plugged in for the second time.  All seemed great, except that now most of my calendar items are no longer in Outlook.  They are still in my Pearl, though.
I have tried to sync the other way, but to no avail.  Ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

So, that did not work, and I ended up on a differnt board where I found the answer....it is a known software glitch with DM since 12/07.  It happens when you have multiple email addresses set up on your phone.  It can work fine for weeks/months, then one day it just happens.  It can happens no matter who your provider is.  RIM still has not fixed the sofware issue (unless the Altel .81 fixed it...).  It results from having 'multiple calendars' and only one syncing back to Outlook.  The only way to fix the issue was the following:
    a) Make certain Outlook is COMPLETELY up to date. Manually enter any calendar items on the BB which have not been synced over to Outlook.
    b) On your BB, look at Calendar > Options > and you will see the different calendars available. Go back to the main calendar page and and press Menu, and you can view the calendars for each email profile. Decide which email profile you want your calendar entries to reside under, and which is your primary email address for this.
    c) Go to Options > Advanced > Service Books. Highlight over AND delete the entries for ALL other email addresses other than your PRIMARY email address.
    d) Go to Options > Advanced > Default Services, and make sure ONLY the one primary email you desire is listed there.
    e) Now, connect your BB to your PC via USB, and open Desktop Manager.
    f) Now, with your Outlook completely updated manually, do this:
    1. Connect your BB via USB to your PC, and Open Desktop Manager on your PC.
    2. Open up Backup/Restore > Advanced.
    3. From Advanced you'll see a split pane screen. You won't see anything in the left pane. In the right pane will be the databases currently on your handheld device.
    4. Highlight on the right side your Address Book database (OR your Calendar database) and click the CLEAR button at the bottom of that screen.
    5. After it's finished, close the Backup/Restore window, and check the device to make sure the address book (or Calendar) has properly cleared out.
    6. Now, re-sync the necessary contact (or Calendar information) from Outlook (or your database) and you should be set to go.
    g) With all that completed, and your calendar appearing in BB... remove the battery on your BB (powered ON) and reboot the BB. This should resend the Service Books for the other email addresses you had deleted earlier. If you find after an hour they are not back, resend the service books from your carrier BIS site.
    h) return to Options > Advanced > Default Services and make sure your primary email is still the default email. You want to leave your primary showing in the screen, and save.
I hope this might help some other people.  THere is talk about all Calendar syncing issues eing related to this issue (except obvious user issues like not syncing all appointments).
    Thanks for you time yesterday.

  • Calendar syncing problems with laptop and iphone

Calendar entries on my iphone don't find their way to my ical on my laptop. When i connect and sync all ical entries are double entered on my phone. Please can anyone help.
Driving me mad as i just can't rely on it!

I think this might be the same problem I'm having, except that I'm having the same problem with both the calendar and the address book. I know things are syncing correctly between my work laptop, my home laptop, my home desktop, and MobileMe. My problem is with my phone. Everything synced fine until I upgraded to version 3. Then the phone would not update at all. I've tried to turn on the Contacts and Calendars in the Settings, but the "switches" won't stay ON. The Mail switch stays on with no problem. I finally forced the phone to sync through iTunes, but then I had double entries in the calendar and double contacts (on the phone only). So .. how to I get it to sync automatically, and how do I get rid of the double entries and contacts? Should I completely delete my account on my phone, and start over? I don't want to mess something up.

  • Sync problems with Outlook 2007

I had some problems with syncing to outlook 2007: the agenda and contacts where not syncing anymore. I have a 32G 2nd gen iPod Touch (4.1) and using iTunes 10.0.1.22.
Details: some weeks ago suddenly the address and contacts items did not sync anymore in both directions. No error messages appeared after sync, so all looked fine. I found this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 and noticed that creating a new user account on the PC did work. So, first I tried reinstalling iTunes (because when creating a new user account on the PC it also creates a new iTunes session): no result. Then I repaired outlook 2007 (go to control panel – software - and select change/delete at office 2007) and guess what: the problem was resolved. I just want to share this with you, that repairing outlook could help resolving this problem. Maybe this also works for other versions outlook.
    Good luck!

  • Desktop Software v7 Sync Problems with Outlook

Hi all, We've just upgraded our copies of desktop software from v6 to v7, however an error message now appears during synchonisation:
"ERROR: COLTransbase::MoveFirstSummaryRecord: Unable to move to first or next row."
Clicking "OK" removes the error message, synchronisation continues but no new entries are synced to the phone, this happens regardless of what the data is (calendar, notes, contacts etc.) The PC this problem occurs on is running Windows XP SP3, with Outlook 2003 connected to Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 via MAPI. The phone is a BB Torch 9800. This setup worked perfectly with Desktop Software v6.
Some troubleshooting steps I've tried, with no success:
Completely uninstalling v7 including removing registry entries and program folders then reinstalling a clean version
Powering off the phone (including removing the battery) and powering it back up again
Creating a new blank calendar in Outlook with NO entries then configuring desktop software to ONLY sync to that calendar
Using the "delete data" feature to delete calendar data off the phone then attempting to resync
I've tried looking for Desktop Software v6 off the Backberry website but can't find it, any link just sends me to v7!
Fortunately I had a copy of Desktop Software v6.01 saved, so I completely removed v7, reinstalled v6.01, connected the phone and now ALL data synchronises with no errors, I even created a new test entry in Outlook's calendar, resynced and it appeared on the phone.
I'm stumped! Any suggestions would be most welcome...

Create one contact in outlook and save it. Close outlook, then sync blackberry desktop and outlook. It should be fine.

The best option would be to sync your files with Syncmate. You can sync different file types on differnet platforms. Files such as calendar, music, videos, contacts, images can be synchronized on different platforms including Mac, Windows Phone, Blackberry either through a USB Cable/ Wi-Fi. It's awesome, I tried it already. More info: http://www.optimum-systems.com/2013/08/mac-sync-software.html

  • Sync problem with outlook 2011

Problem is an understatement. I turned on sync with iCal and two very old events turned on reminders every 15 minutes from 2006 to the year 4500. I calculated that it was adding 87.39 million reminders to the calendar. I finally got them all deleted (three other events also did this) and the next time it sync'd they all reappeared.
I tried to open iCal, but it keeps hanging, requiring a force quit.
There doesn't appear to be a way to correct the iCal calendar. Does Outlook only sync one way? Do I need to trash the iCal calendar? All the other info appears to be in Outlook. I was doing this to sync with Google Calendar.

    More info at http://www.officeformac.com/ms/ProductForums/MacOtherProducts/616
Seems like we have to wait for an upgrade to Office 2011 (which was obviously shipped before it was really ready) to get this to work with MobileMe - presumably the same sync technology will be necessary for it to work with iTunes (which will presumably also require an update to iTunes)
