SYNC PURCHASED iTUNES SONGS & TV SHOWS ON TWO MACS

I have a Mac Pro at home with a huge iTUNES library. I have authorized my MACBOOK PRO. I want to have a small selection of music and TV SHOWS from my MAC PRO to be on my MACBOOK PRO. What is the best way to have purchased material on two authorized computers?
I use CHRONOSYNC to keep files in sync between the two computers. Can I also do this for iTUNES or will that mess things up?
Thanks

Then I must be doing something wrong. I have both computers on and they are connected through my home network. I have made the items I want on the MAC PRO to be SHARED, so I can see them as SHARED items on my MACBOOK PRO iTUNES. How do I move/copy them into the actual iTUNES on the laptop? I tried FILE>ADD TO LIBRARY but that does do anything.
Thanks for your help.

  • Recently purchased iTunes songs not showing up in Library

I'm a MAC user and am having issues with iTunes 11.   I have Match.  When I order a song off iTunes it doesn't show up in my library.  I search on my hard drive and it's not there.  I see it when I go to my purchased history within the iTunes store (Home page, down at bottom, Featured --> Purchased). There's a downward arrow next to the song, which indicates that it's available for download but it's not on my hard drive.  I download the song, and then it appears in my library.   This used to be ocassional but not happens every time.  Anyone have any idea of what's going on?
What's weird is that when I purchase a song, the download arrow and status bar look like it's actually downloading something.  But believe me the song is not on my hard drive.
I've reinstalled iTunes twice.  Logged out and logged back in twice.  Kindof wishing I didn't install 11.  Customer service is not being all that helpful.
    Your help is much appreciated.

I had the same issue and it was resolved with today's iTunes update to 11.0.1
"This update to the new iTunes addresses an issue where new purchases in iCloud may not appear in your library if iTunes Match is turned on, makes iTunes more responsive when searching a large library, fixes a problem where the AirPlay button may not appear as expected, and adds the ability to display duplicate items within your library."

  • How to sync the iTunes songs library with other two computers thru iPhone?

I have three Apple computers, the main being iMac 24", on which I usually purchase music from iTunes and import from my CDs. Thus, it has the biggest collection of songs, roughly about 1200. I also sync my iPhone 3GS 32 GB with this comp, and songs fill in slightly more than 6 GB on iPhone. But then when I sync my iPhone with the MacBook Air or my old PowerBook G4, about 2 GB of songs disappear, reducing the songs library to what is on the computers, while I'd like to transfer all songs (newly purchased and imported) from the iPhone to those comps, too, which are BTW, respectively authorized.
Seems to be a simple issue, and I read all Help content, and tried all iTunes Menu functions, but can't solve it! Any help from real Apple experts?

  • Hard drive crashed awhile ago, got new one but now some of my purchased iTunes songs are showing they are downloaded but NOT in library and it won't let me download to library.  any help?

Asking for help getting previous purchases on my ipod touch and iPad... my computer hard drive crashed and I replaced it.  My music was a mess.  I restored most back but some of my purchased music is saying it is downloaded but it is nowhere to be found.  I don't understand why I can't get the music I already paid for back in my library.  Any help?   would be appreciated...

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    Are you doing this?
You have to sign in and download each iTunes account individually.

    On your PC:
    1) Back up the original downloaded files (the files ending in .m4p). An easy way for this is to use iTunes's "Back Up to Disc" function to back up your iTunes Music Store purchases onto a CD-R/DVD-R.
    2) Deauthorize your computer (Store > Deauthorize Computer...)
    On your Mac:
    1) Insert the disc with your backed up purchased files. Choose "File > Import", and select the tracks to add to your Mac's iTunes library.
    2) Authorize your new Mac to play these purchases (again) (Store > Authorize Computer...)
You should be good to go at this point when syncing your iPod.
    Hope this helps,
    Steve

  • If I have converted my purchased iTunes songs to a lower bit rate what will happen when I join iTunes match? Will they match up or will these be stored as duplicates of the same song?

If I have converted my purchased iTunes songs to a lower bit rate what will happen when I join iTunes match? Will they match up or will these be stored as duplicates of the same song?
I ask because I primarily use my work laptop which has limited space so I usually convert my purchases to 160k from 256k in order to save space. I want to sign up for iTunes Match but I'd like to know before I do so I can understand how I will have to set up my library.

What I may do is start a brand new library there, copy my tracks from my work laptop using Home Share and then the script to get things in sync before starting over again there too.
Why create a new library? Just add the tracks from the laptop to the existing library on the Mac.

I was just hoping to hear definitively whether or not there was some sort of intelligence built into iTunes Match that would match these up...
How do you mean? If you down-convert purchased tracks you've fundamentally changed the files so iTunes can no longer recoginize them as "purchased." And, indeed, they no longer are since they are brand new files. Of course these new files will only be "matched" or "uploaded."

    Hey Xxx_Dank_xxX,
Have you ever been able to sync your iPod shuffle to iTunes on your computer, or has something recently occurred?  Are you working with a Mac or a PC?   Without knowing what has been recommended to you, I'm going to start here with the basics troubleshooting for this issue.

  • My Ipod will not transfer all of its songs to purchased Itunes song transfer.  My last pv crashed, I dont have access to it any more.  I want my library back on Itunes.  ANy help?

My Ipod will not transfer songs.  my old PC crashed and could not recover anything from it.  When I purchased my new Dell, when I loaded Itunes back on to it my content library will only transfer over purchased Itune songs.  I have tons of songs I downloaded from the old "CD" onto my new Itunes account from my Ipod.  Any help?

so then technically I can't transfer the songs off my ipod to my itunes library?  since it is one 1 transfer from pc to ipod...correct?  So when I synch my ipod the warning screen comes up and says "there are content not in the library, erase and synch library to Itunes, only purchased songs can transfer."   Can I leave the songs on my ipod and when I purchase new songs to itunes I can still transfer those correct?  while having the others on there that wont transfer?

  • I accidentally deleted a purchased itunes song but still have it on my ipod.  Is there anyway to restore it to my pc?

I accidentally deleted a purchased itunes song but still have it on my ipod.  Is there anyway to restore it to my laptop from the ipod?  I've seen others with a similar situation and the question was asked if it was still on the ipod but can't find a follow up to point me in the right direction.

Use the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes.

  • Uploading purchased iTunes songs onto iPod

    Hi there,
Can anyone help me, everytime I try to upload my purchased iTunes songs onto my iPod an error message comes up saying I am not authorised to play these tracks on my computer and the tracks do not upload.
    Thanks.

I'm having the same problem - getting an error message telling me that my iPod - which I have updated with most recent iTunes software - cannot play the music I've purchased. What was your solution? What did you figure out? Would appreciate any help.

  • Burning Purchased iTunes Songs...

    Hi there,
As I have noticed on these boards, many people (as am I) are having trouble burning purchased iTunes songs onto CD's. For about three and a half hours, I tried just about everything to fix this- but no luck. Is there any downgrader to jump back to a previous, working edition? Thanks.

Having similar issues here, but iTunes (6.0.2) doesn't crash. When trying to burn an audio CD (purchased from Music Store) iTunes will act like it is initializing, start burning and then all of a sudden it will finish burning (after 1st song) and then eject the cd (after a minute of sitting there). Message about "attempt to burn disk failed...device failed to respond, unable to recover or retry". I can burn other playlists, just not purchased songs from iTunes.
    Any thoughts?
