Sync Question that I know has been asked a million times

All,
I had a user that we had to replace the hard drive in his iMac and now we are trying to re sync is iPod Touch back to the computer with the new hard drive.
When we first plug the unit it, it gives the standard "this unit is synced with another iTunes library" error.
Question is I don't want to lose the data (calendar, notes, etc) on the iPod, user doesn't have any music on the device.
How can i sync this Touch back to the 'new' computer without loosing this information?

Found an applicaton called "TouchCopy". I was able to move all of the users Calendar entries and contacts over into the apple iCal and Contact applicatons without any problems. User didnt' have any music as he only uses the device as a PDA only.
I then let itunes do whatever it wanted to do to create an account for the Touch and resync.
User is back up and running.
Very handy little application, take a look at it.

Since the family computer crashed and been restored to factory settings my daughter has downloaded iTunes and set it up with her iPod. I cannot sync my iPad with this without losing all my apps ect? How do I set iTunes to two different accounts?

I installed the program on my computer when I first got my MP3 player (a Zen Micro) and I no longer have that computer, or the CD. I have looked over the download pages, and all I am finding are upgrades and stuff. Can someone please help me?

My post was a message to anyone else reading your "inquisitive" post that a response would violate the TOU. Apple takes the TOU quite seriously - as many have found out in the past.

Would you buy a used iPhone 4S that you KNOW has been dropped a few times?

A friend, who's quite the businessman, wants to sell me his 2-year old iPhone 4S. He's dropped it a few times and had the screen replaced twice. Most recently the speaker was fuzzy. He took it to get repaired by a local shop (not applestore) and was told it was just some dust interfering with the sound.
Alternative is to buy online (ebay or such) and hope I get one that's been taken better care of.
Thoughts?

I know this has been asked a million times but I just don't understand?

I have photoshop elements 7 and Nikon D300. When I take pictures with my camera the color is fine in the live view screen. When I download them to Nikon and to "My Pictures" and look at them the color is fine. When I email them the color is fine. As soon as I put them in Photoshop Elements 7 they are a few shades lighter. It is not the monitor because the color is the way it is suppose to be when the photo is in any other program. I don't want to print them off my printer, I just find it hard to edit the photo in any way when it is so much lighter than it is if I just look at it in my picture files. How can i adjust just the way the photos look on element so they will match my email, my picture file and my camera?

Two possibilities that could explain your symptoms:
1. You have your camera set to use the Adobe RGB color space, and you're viewing the photos in the Organizer. There is a known bug where the Organizer incorrectly shows the colors of such photos. You can quickly test whether this is your problem by opening a problem photo in the full Editor -- if the colors look different than in the Organizer, then you're encountering this bug. A workaround is to set your camera to use the sRGB color space.
2. You have a color profile associated with your display in Windows that was probably installed by software provided by your display's manufacturer. PSE uses such profiles to more accurrately display colors. But the built-in profiles provided by manufacturers may not be very accurate. If you're satisfied with the colors of your photos when viewed outside of PSE, then disassocate the profile from the display:

But, Can I delete my itunes library on my hard drive and not lose the songs on my iPod Nano ???
I downloaded all my CDs to itunes library and transfered them to my Ipod Nano, but someone told me if I was to delete the library it will also erse my iPod is this true???
I need to make more room on hard drive for more CDs???

The various shells and hard covers like the inCase really offer no protection other than minor scratch resistance. They offer no impact protection at all really. I am a fan of the Booq vyper series of padded semi-rigid sleeves and have used them with my last 3 MBPs when carrying them in a backpack or briefcase. There are other good sleeves as well, but my own experience is with Booq and I would recommend them.
If actually backpacking in the boonies, I might still want something even more rigid to avoid other things in a large pack from pressing into or on the flat top or bottom of any laptop in the pack. A soft or even padded semi-rigid sleeve will not keep a laptop from flexing or bending if weight or objects in the pack pushes hard enough against it. People have been known to crack screens using soft sleeves in backpacks and forgetting that a book edge or some other hard object pressing on or against the laptop will indent or flex the top case enough to crack the glass.

I'd like to go back to a specific date in my messages? I know this has been asked billions of times.

(Specifically April 30 of 2013) but I text a lot so pressing "load earlier messages" isn't an option. Is there anyway I could load the messages on my computer, or is there an app that I could use to search by date? I could get them off my iphone or ipad.

The iPhone (iOS Device) and the Mac will only Sync from the day that both start using the same App ID or OS X 10.8.2 whichever is the earlier.
The "Sync" as Apple calls it was different before this time.
The "Sync" is only "Display on all Devices" and does not involve anything else (if you delete a message on one device it remains on the other)
The iMessages are "pushed" at the devices that have the Apple ID or iPhone number and when the iMessages has been sent that is it.
It will not re-sync if you remove the iMessage.
I really don't use iMessages on my iPhone enough to even try "Load earlier Messages".
If you have synced (Backup) the iPhone onto the Mac using iTunes it is apparently possible to extract the messages from the Backup.
However I don't sync this way and don't know the names of the apps involved.

My ipod will not sync now that windows 8 has been installed, but ipod worked fine before

I am running a Ipod Nano think it's 3rd or 4th generation, when I had windows seven the ipod would be syncing fine with my iTunes, not that windows has updated windows to windows eight, I am now experiencing problems with my ipod syncing to my iTunes. It recognises the ipod but will not allow me to access it or change the music on it. I have followed all the More Info steps from the box that appears on my iTunes, I now am at a loss as to how it will ever work again, so I am stuck with the music on my ipod until I can change it. How do I go about getting my ipod back to syncing with iTunes after my windows update?

I know, this has probably been asked a million times, but....

I'm working on a website using iWeb and I want to embed a forum on it. I'm currently using a forum supplied by webs.com by embedding the HTML code they gave me on the page (which is what I'm supposed to do with it.)
Whenever I click on the various board within the forum, however, they open in a new frame, instead of the same frame. I'm not sure how to fix this. It happens in both Firefox and Safari, but a friend of mine says that it works just fine for him in IE. Anyone know how to fix this or where I can get a better forum that is easy to embed and doesn't require an installation on the server side (webs.com doesn't really let you do that....)

Where it says "FORUM GOES HERE" you use the embed code from your forum (actually, you can put anything there, like I did with the News Feed on my Home page www.emceese7en.webs.com/site/home.html)
You can adjust the size of the box using the width and height in the code (currently at 950x952).

Hello, This question has been asked before but no answer so I thought I'd ask it again since it's been a few years..
How can I replace the folder icons in a Picture Library with a thumbnail of a photo in a folder? I know I can do something very similar in the 'getting started' list by using a 'Promoted Links List' does the picture library
use the same type of methold? I'd like to see a thumbnail of one of the photos instead of a yellow file folder.

Just my thoughts to add to the excellent answers above.
• BRAND of DVD used - Matters when doing Video-DVDs
Memorex, NoName etc cheap brands usually do NOT work
I only Use Verbatim (more organic dye in these)
• Type of DVD - matters
- DVD+/RW - usually results in problems
- DL-DVDs are more problematic than SL-DVDs
- DVD+R are a more modern sort - BUT PLAYS BADLY or not at all on older DVD-players
I only use DVD-R
• BURN SPEED - matters
- Best in iDVD app - IS NOT BEST at all but results in lot's of Burn Errors = Doesn't play well or at all
I set this down to x2 or x4 max.
