Sync screens do not match instructions

I have a MacBook Air set up and synching with my iPhone. I want to add another MacBook to the account but instead of getting the screen on my MBA with "Add another device" as shown in the instructions, I get the screen which says Set Up Firefox Sync on it. This is despite the computer clearly synching with the iPhone so it has clearly been set up. Is there a way to reset all the synching and start again from fresh.
I notice a similar question was asked 7 months ago and had four other people with the same problem but zero replies so I'm not hopeful.........

On the MacBook (call it A) that you want to sync, go to Preferences > Sync and click on "Setup Firefox Sync". Then on the window that appear, click on "I have an account". It will show some codes in 3 boxes.
Now, on the MacBook that is already configured to sync (call it B), got to Preferences > Sync and click on "Add device". In the 3 empty boxes, enter the codes displayed on the other computer (A), and click "Continue".
You'll see on B that Sync has been setup.

Hi, all.
Did a new install of Arch on a spare PC the other day. I'd forgotten how great the distro was. I've run it for a few days and am happy with the X environment etc, so decided it's time to install Arch on my main PC.
The installation went fine and I rebooted into my new environment. I added a user and moved onto installing X.
I followed the wiki and started off just using the VESA driver, as I don't have any need for amazing graphics acceleration. I got a message from my monitor saying 'Out of Sync' (or similar). I half expected this, as it happens sometimes when I install new distros and X doesn't automatically configure my Sun GDM-5410 monitor correctly.
I usually follow this by running 'Xorg -configure' and copying the new config file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
For some reason that didn't work. I got an error message saying 'Number of created screens does not match number of detected devices'.
I've done some searching for solutions and installed the Nouveau driver, but I just can't seem to get X to work.
Can anyone help?

and if you try this? (not a solution, but could be a start)
delete your /etc/X11/xorg.conf (you can generate a new one later if needed )
make a file like this:

[MacOSX 10.10] [RDP 8.0.12] Remote screen does not match containing window size or monitor

Hello. I am facing a very strange issue that I have never seen before. When I connect to a remote host, the host's screen does not match my client screen, and instead spills over into two monitors. This happens in full screen mode. When switching to windowed
mode, only a portion of the remote host shows, the rest is a black screen.
I would love to post example pics but this site wont let me until I verify my account, but I have no email asking me to do so...

A few notes:
- I have tried a restart.
- I am running two displays, one is the built in 1440x900, one is an external 1920x1200
- I am on OSX10.10.1
- RDP is 8.0.12
- I have tested this against Windows 7 Pro machines
- This was working fine a week ago, just started this week.

I went into Settings/Date & Time & now the time on the weather widget is correct, but the phone time is 1 hour earlier. Any suggestions??

Settings | Date and Time then select Automatic date & time, and Automatic time zone. In this way, the carrier time will populate the phone. If it's still going 1hour off, then I'd call VZW and inquire if they have a tower issue, specially if it happens in one particular place.

ITunes wifi sync - cover does not match with a song

I synced music on iPhone with iTunes on MacBook via wifi. After sync, on my phone, almost all the songs had mixed covers. The cover does not match with a song - please see enclosed picture. I removed all the songs and downloaded them again from iTunes. It helped but not for all the songs. I tried sync with a cable but it did not work. The covers on iTunes on MacBook seem to be okay. Help, please?

I am having similar problems after clicking yes when Software Update advised I needed OSX & iTunes update. I'm running Snow Leopard, and now I cannot open iTunes, run iTunes on my computer, siync my iPod, anything. I wish I had NEVER clicked yes...

Screen does not match iPhone

Why is the Apple Support website built so that the screen does not adapt to the size of the reading device? It is nearly impossible to use from an iPhone or iPod Touch, and does not shrink to the screen size on my Air if the browser window is too narrow.
Most modern web sites adapt the screen content to the browser window, and most other Apple software is ahead of the pack - but not here.
How can we encourage this modernization?

we desktop users have a similar complaint - but just the opposite = too much white space!
As an interactive professional, my evaluation is that the Apple web presence is designed graphically to meet the requirements of the Apple Style Guide and some mid point between iDevice and desktop. 'Twas a tough task I am sure - couldn't begin to please everybody

Published mp4 lags, is out of sync, and does not match the Project Preview - help please!

My Captivate 7 project includes two video demo slides with audio narration. The published mp4 video is vastly different from what it should be and how it shows in a preview in Captivate. I have tried publishing it again twice - once I changed the settings by clicking "Force republish all the slides" in the Advanced Options but the published mp4 is still messed up - the video freezes while the audio proceeds and other out of sync problems.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Sync cal does not match

i sync my cal to my ipod my main cal showes todo on fri and in my ipod cal it shows it on thur not the same dates also change a every other week to every week why arent the in sync ? help ipod is 1year old and has all the updates,

This may not help if you are trying to access your existing memos. I struggled with this exact problem -- since I had lots of voice memos I needed that had never successfully synced -- and never found a satisfactory answer online. Unfortunately it involves downloading a couple free Windows-only apps, so if you have a Mac it's easiest if you have Parallels or VMWare with Windows to handle the file processing. The audio files themselves are locked in little Vpad.pdb files inside your Palm/Users/(Username)/backups folder.

FAGLB03 Total does not match Drilldown total

Hi Everyone,
We are a Candian Company, so when I run FAGLB03 for a certain account in a US Company Code, and change the view to Document Currency (Canadian), I get a total equal to $0.00.
However, when I drill down on that total, the line item display is reporting a significant balance. I have changed my layout to include the different currencies - nothing matches the total of $0.00.
Im just concerned the FAGLB03 total on the main screen, does not match the line item total...which one is correct, and
why would this be happening?

All Firefox mentions in every location is Iphone, never ipad. Want to sync an Ipad. All instructions, as simple as they seem do not appear on my desktop.

Not an Iphone, and Ipad. Downloaded app to ipad. All instructions say to go to tools,options,sync and pick a device. That simply does not appear on Firefox on my desktop machine. So, no way to get it on my ipad. Suggestions? Wish they would not say Iphone...

James, thanks. I have two screens, and there is a Tools ,Options etc. My issue was that Firefox instructions do not match what is on Tools. I finally went to the Ipad, downloaded Firefox, found out how to set it up from the Ipad. Works fine. Thanks for help.

Deleting documents on the iPad - how do I do it? I have looked at the instructions but what is on my screen doesn't match.

I somehow managed to transfer some files from WORD on my PC to PAGES. I now want to delete them from the iPad but what I am seeing on screen doesn't match what the instructions say. In particular, the reference to APPS pane being in iTunes doesn't appear to match ( the sync procedure seems to have gone through its 4 stages OK) and I can't find reference to FILES. Can anyone help please.

Can you delete them in Pages on your iPad?
Start Pages and go to the screen with thumbnails of all your documents. Tap on edit. Select the documents you want to delete then tap Delete.
If the documents are in the iTunes File Sharing area on your computer start iTunes on your computer. Use the View Menu in iTunes to View Sidebar.
Connect your iPad and select your iPad in the left sidebar of iTunes on your computer.
Select Apps in the right window.
Scroll down under Apps to find the File Sharing section. It is below the first list of Apps.
Find the Pages app there and delete the documents.

I manually sync my iPhone with my iTunes and on the music page it says it will sync 283 songs when only one playlist of 12 songs is selected to sync. How do I remove the 283 songs that are on my iPhone and then add the 12 songs in the playlist that I want to add?

You cannot customize the Safari toolbar on the iPad.
What you can do on the iPad is go to Settings>Safari>Always show Bookmarks Bar>On and that will add a bookmarks bar on to the Safari browser.

its fixed!! After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search. 'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it.
hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working. Hope this helps others.
