Sync service for contacts?

I have recently updated my macbook air with OS X Mavericks. Now I have changed my Blackberry and I am trying to synchronize the contacts in my macbook air with my blackberry curve 9300. I use the blackberry desktop interface but I get a message that the conacts can't be synchronized because my sync service is not enabled. I have tried to find a way to enable the mentioned service but I did not find anything.
Thanks for your help!

have you found solution? i am still looking for sync options on my mac.

  • "Inconsistencies in your sync information for Contacts..."  HELP!

    Hello helpful smart people!
I can't sync Contacts on my iMac in my kitchen with my office MacPro. I am running OS 10.4.11 on both computers. I keep getting this message: "Inconsistencies in your sync information for Contacts were detected and have been repaired". But Contacts are still not being synced on my kitchen iMac. I have checked my .Mac account and see all the correct info in the Contacts folder - which matches my office MacPro. I have both Unregistered, and Reset Sync Data on the Kitchen iMac and asked that all Sync Info be replaced on the Kitchen iMac with Sync info from .Mac. Can anyone figure this out? Thanks very much for any help you can lend. -Scott

This is the iSync forum. iSync is for syncing to non-Apple mobile phones only, not to other Macs.

  • Sync Services for iCal

    Hello all,
I want to make Sync Services for iCal.Currently i want to read the changes in iCal using Sync Service.please give an idea about this...

I have found the problem and fixed it. I wanted to post the solution so that others might benefit...
After reading through the developer docs for Sync Services, I isolated the files in /[my home]/Library/SyncServices/Local/ as being suspect. Moving these to my desktop and starting up iCal worked.
As it turns out, there are a lot of little gotchas surrounding the magic that is Sync Services. This is just one of many!

wow. it worked fine with Lion. since i upgraded to Maverick nothing.
Yes, it was deprecated when Lion was released.
That is Software-speak for, "we don't plan on supporting this much longer. You need to find another solution."
They supported it through Lion and Mountain Lion, but have stopped supporting it with Mavericks.

  • Location service for contacts

I'm unable to create location based reminders except for the current location.
Location Services are on, however I do not see Contacts in it.
How do I add Contacts to location services?

You can create location based reminders with the addresses available for your contact info in Contacts.
The defalt when selecting At a Location for a reminder is your current location. If you have more than one address available for your contact info in Contacts such as your work address or if you are at work at the time and want to use your home address, select the current location address to bring up the other addresses you have available for your contact info in Contacts.
Or you can manually enter an address below at the Enter an Address field or select the blue + icon at the right of the Enter an Address field to bring up your contacts.

  • Cannot activate iCloud services for contacts under Mavericks 10.9

Just completed my 10.9 transition today.
Small glitches, nothing major, little snitch wants an upgrade, EPSON scan no longer working but built in work around, airport 5.6 no longer working (I liked the statistical functions), ... little things.
The only major issue was that my address book data had disappeared. No panic (yet) - everything backed into the cloud.
    Now the tricky part:
I can activate the iCloud service in the "system preferences", but I cannot see or seem to be able to add the same in the "contacts - preferences - accounts". It asks me to enter my AppleID nd PW but it is not added to the acounts.
At a loss here, I have "reset documents & data" via my iCloud web access, multiple re-boots with iCloud / Contacts services on/off - no change.
Any help out there to help me look what is going wrong or even a quick fix.
    Thanks,
    --- Carsten

    Found the problem.
I was using a symbolic link to share the addressbook / contacts between multiple accounts on the same computer. Just deleted it and had Contacts re-establish the folder. This worked fine under 10.7 Lion, no longer works under 10.9.
iCloud recovered the addressbook / Contacts data - Works fine now.

That feature is available for your BlackBerry model ! First you need a Specific BlackBerry Data plan also known as BIS from your Carrier Vodafone to use this feature , Once you activate it on our account you can refer to those KB article for help :
KB22430 : How to enable wireless contact synchronization with BlackBerry Internet Service

  • ICloud sync of same contacts to all phones. How do I fix this?

Ok so my dad, mom, and for some reason have the same contacts as everyone else after we updated our phones but we all have different apple id's. How do i fix this?? please help!!

You're welcome.  Undoing the merged contacts will require you to go through and delete the ones that you don't want on each phone (assuming you don't have a clean unmerged list to re-import to the phone).  First decide who will keep the existing iCloud account and who will change to a new one.  Then, on the phone that is changing, go to Settings>iCloud and turn off syncing for each of the services listed (contacts, etc.).  When prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone.  Then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account on this phone.)  Now set up a new iCloud account on this phone with a different Apple ID and turn on syncing again for contacts, etc.  Next go to iCloud.com on your computer, sign into the new account, go to contacts and go through and delete the unwanted contacts.  (You'll also have to sign into the other iCloud account and delete the contacts you don't want on the other phone as well.)  That should fix the contacts on both phones.
As for the music, connect her phone to iTunes, go to the Summary tab and check "Sync only checked songs and videos" (if it isn't already checked).  Then in the music library, uncheck each of the songs that she doesn't want on her phone.  When finished, sync her phone and the unwanted songs will be removed.  You may also want to take a look at this article on ways to sync multiple iPhones on one computer.

  • After attempting to sync my iphone contacts with my windows live contact i now have no contacts showing on my iphone

i was messing about with my itunes contacts and attempted to sync all my windows live contacts  with my iphone, i dont know what setting i have changed but i now have no contacts showing on my iphone, i have tried to restore my iphone but this failed.
    Cheers for your Help!

The sync process for contact info and calendar events is a bidirectional or true sync process. You can't transfer only contact info and calendar events available on your iPhone only to the supported application on your computer. Contact info and calendar events available in the supported address book and calendar app on your computer and contact info and calendar events available on your iPhone will be synced so the info available on both is identical.
If you have a MM account, you need to sync the supported address book on your computer with your MM online address book first. After confirming your MM online address book matches the supported address book on your computer, follow this by enabling over the air syncing for contact info with your MM account on your iPhone. This will erase all existing contact info on your iPhone and replace it with your MM online address book info, and the same for calendar events.
If you have contact info available on your iPhone that is not available with the supported address book on your computer, you need to sync your iPhone's address book with the supported address book on your computer via the iTunes sync process first. Follow this by syncing the supported address book on your computer with your MM online address book. After confirming the supported address book on your computer matches your MM online address book, enable over the air syncing for contact info with your MM account on your iPhone. After this, your iPhone's address book will be kept synchronized with your MM online address book which is kept synchronized with the supported address book on your computer and vice-versa.

    Hi Jyotirmoy,
    Check this thread for Subquery
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/dc/dc7614099b11d295320000e8353423/content.htm
    Correlated, non-scalar subquery:
    REPORT demo_select_subquery_1.
DATA: name_tab TYPE TABLE OF scarr-carrname,
          name  LIKE LINE OF name_tab.
    SELECT  carrname
      INTO  TABLE name_tab
      FROM  scarr
      WHERE EXISTS ( select  *
                       FROM  spfli
                       WHERE carrid   =  scarr~carrid AND
                             cityfrom = 'NEW YORK'        ).
    LOOP AT name_tab INTO name.
      WRITE: / name.
    ENDLOOP.
This example selects all lines from database table SCARR for airlines that fly from New York.
    Scalar subquery:
    REPORT demo_select_subquery_2.
DATA: carr_id TYPE spfli-carrid VALUE 'LH',
          conn_id TYPE spfli-connid VALUE '0400'.
    DATA: city  TYPE sgeocity-city,
          lati  TYPE p DECIMALS 2,
          longi TYPE p DECIMALS 2.
    SELECT  SINGLE city latitude longitude
      INTO  (city, lati, longi)
      FROM  sgeocity
WHERE city IN ( select  cityfrom
                        FROM  spfli
                        WHERE carrid = carr_id AND
                              connid = conn_id      ).
    WRITE: city, lati, longi.
This example reads the latitude and longitude of the departure city of flight LH 402 from database table SGEOCITY.
