Sync Setup - Custom server – valid server URL

Unter Tools > Set up sync > Server > "Use a custom server ..."
Dort wird leider keine meiner eingegebenen URLs als korekt angesehen. Es erscheint immer der test "Pleas enter a valid server URL" . Ich habe diese eingaben getätigt.

If you follow the "strong recommendation" to use the Weave Minimal server make sure to watch out for these pitfalls. Took me a while...
# Don't try to create a new account in Firefox. You must create the account on the command line on the server.
# Don't forget to take note of the long string printed by the create_user script, that's your SyncKey, and you need it later.
# In the server URL field in the "sign in with existing account" dialogue, you must enter a trailing slash, ie. if you installed Weave Minimal at https://myserver/weave, you must enter this at https://myserver/weave/

Sync Addon Setup says "Please enter valid server URL" for Custom Sync Server settings

While setting up the Sync add-on, I selected "Use a custom server" setting.
I wish to keep the syncing information on my own server space where my personal website is also hosted.
No matter what URL i enter (the ftp one or the http addr) it still show a "Please enter a valid server URL" message under the textbox and the next button stays disabled.

External posture validation server LanDesk vs. ACS

Hi,
I want you to ask wheather somebody has same problem as me and how did you solve it.
I want to validate security of hosts with LANDeskÂ® Security Suite 8.7 in cooperation with ACS. My problem seems to be in comunication between ACS and LanDesk validation server. Landesk server in log says that no scan has been made on the host. But when i dont forward LanDesk credentials to LanDesk and I Validate them on ACS, it works. I mean ACS can determine whether the scan has been made and with which result.
So I think problem isn't in CTA or LanDesk host agent(when they send right credentials). It seems to be somewhere between ACS and LD server.
Didn't you have similar problem?
p.s. I have been imported LanDesk plugins into CTA and attributes definition file into ACS. But I am not sure if the External posture validation setup in URL field should be "http://ip.a.d.d:12576/pvs.exe" which i found in LD documentation. In google i found another URL "http://ip.a.d.d:12576/avp.exe". None of them works properly. And on LD server isn't such a file.

ICal 10.6 client no longer syncing with 10.5 iCal server

Searched the forums and haven't found anyone with an answer yet.
We upgraded all our laptops to 10.6. The server is still at 10.5, running CalDAV server.
Since the upgrade of the iCal clients, they are no longer accessing the iCal server. Any ideas what settings need to be tweaked in the iCal clients to have them see and read/write to their accounts on the 10.5 iCal server?

the same is happening to me.
All my cals have been syncing just fine. Upgraded my iphone os5. upgraded lion on laptop. And for some reason, now i'm opening ical today and trying to edit, i am suddenly getting URL errors. Also i cannot find a way in the new ical (with lion) to unsubscribe from things.
My iphone seems to be updating ok as it's syncing from the google cal server... but if i want to add or edit anything to my google cals in ical, it's not letting me do anything.
Any ideas anyone ?

SQL 2012 R2 - SSRS with the Report Server Web Service URL, can't access

I am installing Dynamics CRM 2013. When I am on RS Configuration manager; I am running into the SSRS (SQL 2012 on Server 2012)SQL issue, can't access the
http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or
http://servername/:Reports web pages
The database server has SSRS native mode installed, it is using a domain account for the service credentials. This account also has permission to log on a service in the GPO
Account is a domain admin and is a local administrator
SQL server is 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012. User base is less than 60 people and they have SharePoint 13 on the same SQL server. Server more than enough resources.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Since the default URL is http://<computername>/reportserver, did you type the URLs manually? or the URLs configured in Reporting Services configuration manager are
http://servername/:80/ReportServer and
http://servername/:Reports?
Could you provide detailed information of error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)?

Xcode updates not caching in Caching Server - non-whitelisted url denied.

I am running OS X Server 2.2.1 - Build 169. (Mountain Lion). I have the caching service enabled and it appears to have been working successfully - as I can see that updates from Apple are coming from my server when applied to multiple Macs.
There is a new update to XCode 4.6.3 that I have been applying to my Macs - and I am noticing that it is re-downloading from Apple each time - instead of using the cache.
If I look at the Caching Service log - I see an error for each time that I have applied the 4.6.3 update:
Request for non-whitelisted URL denied (http:10.0.x.x:50360) (10.0.x.x is my my server)
HTTP Server: Error 400 - Bad Requst (/)
Is this a problem with the caching server - or are Apple's developer tools intentionally not being cached? The log does not tell me what url is being requested.

I have this exact problem too. Interestingly, I have this on my Mini server, then I've setup a caching server on my MacBook Pro and its the same. This log is from my MacBook Pro, its called badgerbookpro.local but its the same on the Mini server. Both are runing 10.8.3

How do I import a valid server certificate as a trustStore and put
this in jre/lib/security.
I have a Java class that needs to connect to a valid HTTPS Server
having a certificate issued by a CA.
Now,I have a Java client that connects to this server,and sends and
receives data.
I will need to import the server certificate into the jre/lib/security
directory?
I guess we need to do this so that the client accepts the server's
certificate

You must provide to the Java-VM where it can find the TrustStore:

Existing Azure AD users syncing to on-premises AD server (feasible?)

Hi Techies,
Long story short, we never had an on-premises AD server until now. For the past year, we've only had Office 365 exchange online accounts, with this, we also setup Windows Azure AD online.
Question: All (25) users accounts are currently online. I want to run the Azure AD sync tool on the on-premises server so I can start syncing user accounts. Is this possible? I have no users (besides all the default ones, local admin, etc) on my "on-premises"
server and was hoping the existing users online would sync down to our local server.... Will this work?
Also, I am concerned that if I run the Azure Sync tool on my local server it will erase existing azure AD accounts online, since they don't exist on the local server. Not the case right?

Help with Proper DNS Setup for Leopard Standard Server Setup

Hello All,
Problem Description-
I was reviewing some training today on DNS setup and checking for proper setup with the sudo changeip - checkhostname tool and I seem to have an incorrectly configured DNS setup. So I need some help on correcting it. When I go to the "Server Preferences" tool I cannot log in using apple.ourdomainname.com instead in order to use the tool I have to input localhost as the server name. Now I just thought that the system was broken or something and with the help of my training I now see it's a DNS problem. I thought I had everything proper since I followed the steps of creating proper DNS/RDNS entries with my ISP. Now I am stuck wondering what else isn't working properly due to the DNS issue. Thanks in advance.
Technical Info-
My ISP provides us with 5 static IP's and we have asked them to create entries and verified the setup of apple.ourdomainname.com = x.x.x.x which is one of our public IP's assigned currently assigned to the WAN port of our Apple Airport Extreme. We have also had them create a PTR record which also is present, verified and functional. Our MacMini running 10.5.5 is connected directly to one of the ethernet ports on our Apple Airport Extreme which is our NAT/Firewall for the LAN. So during the setup of the Standard Server install the OS configured the Airport with the required ports for chat/web/vpn. And mobile Mac's can VPN in and gain folder access and web works fine too. We don't use the e-mail portion so I can't say how that works. The server is using the DNS of 10.0.200.1 which is the IP of the Airport and the airport is programmed with the DNS of OpenDNS servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. The reason for this whole long shpeal is that I want to give as much technical background as possible for the best possible help.

Are there any instructions available on how to setup a Firefox update server that can automatically download updates from the Mozilla site and users can then grab the updates from the internal server? I'm using wampserver so that I can utilize Apache and PHP on the 2012 server.

Image should be replicate from upstream server to downstream server and image should be build from

I would go for a periodically (scheduled) robocopy. Yes it's perfectly possible to create this with selection profiles and linked deploymentshares, but based on my own experiences and consulting other subject matter experts like MVP Johan Arwidmark, it is
advised to take care of replication yourself by robocopy or by DFSR
This way you are in control, and robocopy is a great tool to take care of replication of files.
To keep in mind your central deploymentshare and branche deploymentshare, you can play with the bootstrap.ini and customsettings.ini, that they will refer to a different deploymentshare location based on default gateway.

How To Setup A Local Exchange Server Integrated With Office365 For A Single Mailbox

We recently migrated to Office365 but had an issue since we need more than 16 simultaneous connections to a single mailbox. Because of this, we need to deploy a local Exchange Server that will be used to host a single mailbox that requires up to 500 simultaneous
connections for a Contact Center application. I'm looking for information on how to setup the local Exchange Server to basically create a local instance of a mailbox hosted on Office 365. So we can have our application open the numerous simultaneous connections
to our local server which will then connection to Office 365 to send/receive email through the mailbox hosted on Office365.
Please let me know if you have any information or resources you can direct me toward.

Syncing Forms Across Multiple Application Server Servers?

Hi Guys,
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. We recently brought up multiple servers running Application Server 10.1.2.3 for High Availability of our forms and reports. My question is, is there a way to keep the forms files synced? With IIS for example, I have written a batch file that will go check for modifications on a source server and then sync any destination servers that are out of sync. However with Application Server, you cannot simply copy files over because if they are in use they are locked.
Would anyone happen to know of any kind of solution for keeping multiple Application Servers synced?

What we do is use a Load balancer with Multiple App severs. To keep the forms correct we take one out at a time off peak and update and do this round robin until they match.
