Sync software for a ipaq

I am looking for a solution for syncing a ipaq to my mac, i know that missing sync will do it, i am just wondering if there are any cheaper options out there. I have considered a blackberry but i believe that the same issues occur with a blackberry, but i could be wrong.
Thanks

Your only other option would be PocketMac:

Hi..  Welcome to the Palm forums.   I just tried the link that you had and was able to succesfully download activesync for XP.  Try it again, if it still does not work try going to google and do a search for "download activesync 4.5" which should give multipul options for the download.  If that does not work then the problem is on your end and you may need to talk to a computer repair shop.

  • Syncing Software for Linux?

    Hi,
I am using a Linux System at home (Kubuntu Gutsy). Is there an equivalent to the Synchronisation software for Windows and Mac that will run on Linux? Or else, does anyone here have a suggestion for me how I can sync my phone with my Linuxbox?
    Many thanks!

  • I cant load the Media Sync software for Ituens

I run windows XP.   Bberry Desktop software 4.7 downloaded and installed.   When I go to Media Sync for Itunes it tells me the software is not loaded and then starts to download it.
I then get a mesage simply that "windows has encountered and error and install will be stoped".  no other messge or error info.
I tried downloading the Media Sync software separatly from the web site and installing it but it will not install either.   When i try to install the media sync this way i get message that "windows needs to reboot before continuing with the install".  I reboot but still cannot load the sync.  I have even tried to remove all "non-essential" software from loading automjatically at start up after reboot but still no luck.
all other BBerry desktop software seems to be working fine.
    Please help.  Thanks.

I have the same result when trying to load the Media Sync for iTunes.  Looking forward to getting an answer soon.

  • Sync software for Mac?

Does anyone know of any other software to sync BB with apple mac (OSX 10.5) other than pocketmac? PocketMac is pretty unreliable, and has crashed and failed to sync on just about every attempt. I have successfully managed to get my info on just once, and it has never synced properly since then.
Following all the advice regarding corrupted PIM's has not helped. It is just poor software and I am desperate for something better (and something that can allow me to install third party software on the BB from a Mac)
    thanks

    Hi,
Just a thought but you may want to close this thread and open up another in
Blackberry's for Mac. I would think you would get more specific information there
    Just my opinion.
If you do decide to reopen, please take a minute and resolve this one.

  • Sync software for Windows smartphone

OK. No taking the mickey please about what I am about to say next...
I went and bought myself a Windows phone... I had no choice but to get myself this phone... very long story!!
Now, the problem is that I cannot sync the software accompanying the phone to my Mac. Thus am unable to sync my calendar, contacts etc I also cannot download different themes to the phone and additional software.
If I were to purchase a copy of Virtual PC, will this do the trick for me? Would I be able to use PC software such as the phones software on my G5, with Tiger 10.4.3?
    Thanks
    Alps

Hi Maclover. LOL! I'll try to keep my very very very long story as short as I can
Since that thread I tried my best to return the SDA 2 phone for something that was Mac compatible. Alas, after hours and hours of arguing all I could manage was to replace the sda with an SPV c600... which is a better phone.
The only problem with this is that markspace is only for windows 2003 right now. And when they soon release WM5.0 software it still won't let me download themes, software, ringtones for the phone.
Hence I got to thinking about selling out a little and purchasing Virtual PC :-I
Hopefully I'll be able to make enough money in the next few months with a few more editing jobs and will then be able to justify buying an SE P990, which will be fully Mac compatible

  • Recommend a Sync software for my TX and Lotus Notes 8

I was wondering what the general consensus was about which software I should use to sync my TX with Lotus Notes 8.  I have tried Pylon and it really sucks - lots of bugs.  I'm wondering if EasySync Pro works any better?  Thanks in advance for your help!
    Post relates to: Palm TX

It's a Lotus Notes bug.  You have to get an update from them.  The update is called "Lotus Notes 852 FP2 SHF191 W32 standard".
Technical details:  Password Manager uses a window hook to capture/input passwords in windows applications.  The presense of a window hook exposes this bug in Lotus Notes.  We worked with Lotus during August 2011 to solve the bug in their software.

  • Best Sync software for PalmOS to Mac OS X

I am about to buy a second mac and send my PC to the bone yard. One thing I need to be able to do is synch my Treo 755p (PalmOS) with the Mac. Right now I use Outlook for Calendar, Contacts, Memos and Tasks.
I would prefer to not use Entourage and use the Mac OS calendar and contacts instead since I have a .Mac account and will soon be able to sync with the cloud.
I read that iSync isn't great. I also hear conflicting reports on Missing Sync, but most of the posts are older versions. Does anybody have any recent experience with Missing Sync or other that they can share? Thanks.

I've been using Missing Sync since I won a copy as a door prize about 4 years ago and I've bought 2 upgrades since. I've been very satisfied with the software and on the few times where I've had issues or problems I've gotten prompt and helpful answers from the company.

  • Compatible Mobile Phones and Syncing software for Entourage

Is there any mobile phones out there in Australia that have compatability with OS 10.5 and can sync with Entourage?

    Hi, Philip.
Apple's list of iSync-compatible devices is the list as far as I know. It's unclear to me what you mean by "give text messaging via Address Book."
There are a couple things I can suggest to help you find more information:
    1. If there's a specific Motorola phone you're considering, post to the iSync Discussion requesting feedback on the specific functions in question from owners of that specific model phone. The iSync Discussion is the best venue for your question.
    2. One can often download the user's guide or manual for a phone from the manufacturer's Web site. I did that recently from both Nokia's and Motorola's Web sites when I was comparing phones. You might find the specific information you're looking for in the phone's manual.
    3. Contact the phone manufacturer, e.g. e-mail Motorola via their links under "Customer Support" for the UK with your specific questions.
    Good luck!

  • Desktop Sync Software for MacBook

Unfortunately, BlackBerry Desktop isn't available for Mac. They offer a 3rd-party application called PocketMac that you can use. You can find a link to download it here:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp
You'll want to click on "Download PocketMac for BlackBerry" then select PocketMac from the drop-down list on the next page, and on the following page you'll want to download both the PocketMac software and the "PocketMac Driver Update." Do not connect your BlackBerry device to the computer via the USB cable until after you've installed both PocketMac and the driver update.

If you are referring to the Calendar Sync software, you can download them from OTN.

  • Sync software?

Hello all can anyone recommend some form of sync software for mac. I have dropbox but I am not so fussed about online syncing just the ability to sync folders from two macs onto an external drive.
I have tried cronosync and sync standard and the pair work fine but require the application to be open in the dock, so yucky, I was rather hopeing for something that runs in the background with a menu item or system pref pane or something?
    Many thanks.

Are you always syncing from the Mac to the Network? If so, then its a simple process for rsync and launchd.
First, set up a folder on your Mac (I'll use TestFolder1 on my Desktop for the Mac and TestFolder2 as the Network Folder)
Then set up a launchd by placing this in ~/Library/LaunchAgents and edit for your folders
Now log out and log back in (or restart)
(This syncs every 15 minutes (900/16=15), but you can change to any time you want)
NOTE THAT --delete will delete extraneous files from dest dirs (TestFolder2 is a Mirror of TestFolder1) .
Just delete this line if its not what you want.

  • Best folder sync software

I have an iSCSI device attached to my Mac (two actually).  On drive one I have several hundred gigabytes of data.  I would like it on both iSCSI devices so I downloaded Sync Folder Pro.  What I expected was that after the first pass, all other passes would be the difference, but this is not the case.  It appears Sync Folder Pro is doing a full sync each pass.  Well, this takes forever to sync that much data...
So, on to my question...who makes the best sync folder/file program for Mac?

Synkron is the best file/folder sync software for Mac. By a country mile.

  • 7290 sync software

I'm trying to find the sync software for my Blackberry 7290. I need it to sync with Outlook and my machine's OS is Vista. I've downloaded several versions. From what I can see, version 4.1 is what I need but it doesn't show as being compatible with Vista. Can anyone tell me where to get the software?
    Thanks.

I would recommand yout o use version 4.5. Click on BlackBerry Desktop Manager to get the software.
