Sync Tool error: Unable to Login to Server

Hello - we're using the SunONE Sync Tool v1.1 and have a user trying to synchronize with Outlook, but the tool keeps throwing an "Unable to Login to Server" error, although the exact same username, password, server and port # work on the browser login. This is the only user with this problem; on other machines (with the same OS and version of Outlook, the sync tool works for the most part - at least it lets the user login).
We've tried re-entering the settings, re-entering the password and the next step will be a re-install of the sync tool.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,
I am also facing exactly the same probelm with one of the user. I have tried re-installing the sync tool. But with the same error message "unable to logon to the server" . I have looked into the logs the only thing I could find is the following error message
ReadWordFromRegistry: Registry open system eerror message- the system cannot find the fiel specified , error code:2 "
I have tried on 3 other system and it works omethly except for this user.
I have exhausted all my options but no luck so far .
Can someone help !

  • HANA Admin tool error - unable to login

Hello HANA Developer / admin gurus!
I am unable to login to XS Administration Tool (DB version rev.74).
Using Chrome's Developer tool following error was captured:
    http://<hostname>/sap/hana/xs/formLogin/login.xscfunc 500 (Internal Server Error)
Apart from this very generic error, I am unable to find any other traces / error logs.
My user-id has all relevant (and probably more!) xs roles; still unable to find the root cause.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

It looks like you may have extracted the files to C:\sp2013. Can you try installing from a mounted ISO instead? Can you also validate that this is Server 2012 and not 2012 R2?

  • The tool was unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role.

    Hi,
After running the prerequisiteinstaller.exe of SharePoint 2013 I am getting the below error in the logs
The tool was unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role.
Web server role, application server role  is already there in the server.
Ran the necessary power shell commands but still not able to proceed with this error.
Please share your inputs to cross over this issue.

  • Prerequisiteinstaller.exe error - unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role

Windows Server 2012 R2 running on Hyper-V VM.  File services, App server & IIS roles installed
    SQL Server 2012 installed
    Tried:
kb 2765260 method 1 which is kb 2771431 which ends with "not applicable to computer"
kb 2765260 method 2 with no effect (this was power shell commands for PC's connected to the internet)
One post suggested "aspnet_regii - enable -i" but my OS doesn't have aspnet_regii on it (not sure what that implies)
One post suggested ServerManagerCmd.exe needed to be installed which sounds true as shown below (but where do I find this exe?)
There are some errors in the log file,  I only included the portions where the errors are listed.  The initial lines are at the top of the log file, then I skipped to the section where the other errors were.  I can include the whole log if
    it becomes necessary.

I'm presuming the first 2 errors are OK and just indicate optional startup modes for prerequisiteinstaller.exe
The 2nd set of errors seems more serious.  I don't see ServerManagerCmd.exe on my PC that's listed in the error
I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer.  Any help is appreciated.  Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard?  I will try that, but would
like to resolve the issue here with R2.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Alan

ServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller.  Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?
Running this page through Google Translate should give you an clearer idea on getting this installed.

  • Server admin is unable to login to server.app after upgrade to Mountain Lion Server?

After upgrade to Mountain Lion Server I am unable to login to the server tools. When I input the admin user name and password the dialog box just shakes indicating the wrong password. But it is the correct password. How do I reset the password or if necessary how do I rest the server and start over on Mountain Lion. I found info on how to reset the server on previous versions of the server which involved executing a plist in the LaunchDaemon folder. However that file does not exist on the server following upgrade to Mountain Lion.
    Thanks, Howard

I upgraded today and had the same issue. I took following steps to fix my computer.
Boot into Recovery Partition (Hold Option Button while booting)
    Open Terminal.
    Type resetpassword
    Select your hard drive
    Select the user account (Administrator)
Enter a new password for the user
    Reenter password
    Save
    Restart
Boot normally, Login as Adminstrator with the new password and add "Admin" permission to your account.
    Restart
Everything should be working as expected

  • Import Catalog Hit Error - Unable to Login. Access Prohibited.

    Hello
I have been trying to learn OBIEE (version 10) on my local desktop and came across the following error
    Access Prohibited
You are not currently authroized to use Oracle BI Interactive Dashboards.
If you would like to use this powerful capability, please contact the sites administrator.
I was able to import/check in a RPD and catalog folder from my development enviroment to my local desk top for testing purposes.
After implementing the catalog, I hit the above error.
I found the solution to fixing this error is posted here
    http://newappsdba.blogspot.ca/2010/11/obiee-unable-to-login-access-prohibited.html
My question is - how do I avoid having to reset all the permissions again?
If I was to check out the catalog, and check it back in I dont want to always have to go through and reset all the permissions.
How do other people check in their catalogs?
    Thanks in advance

    It is with administrator privligies
I was reading around and it sounds like when just straight up cutting and pasting the entire catalog this can lead to permission issues
I read the following forum link which helped
Can not login to interactive dashboards
I had to give myself access again...
    http://pcname:9704/analytics/saw.dll?PrivilegeAdmin&_scid=1cJYoJX6psU&Done=Admin
Can anyone confirm if this is true?
That I can not do a full copy and paste of the entire catalog from PROD to my local?

  • IPhone gets error Unable to Communicate with Server (503)

Shortly after i enter the passcode from my iPhone into my PC, the error message comes up on my iPhone.

We had some minor outtages yesterday. 503 is an error about not finding the server. Try again and let me know if it doesn't work.
Does the PC synchronize properly without any error?

  • Unable to login Windows Server 2012 after making local policy changes

Experts, we have modified the local policy setting on the windows server 2012 and badly it was domain controller now none of the users are able to login to the server. After entering the user name and password it will launch till welcome screen then it errors
out saying user name or password incorrect. below are the steps which we followed
    1. Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options \Network security: Configure encryption types allowed for Kerberos values change from Not Configured to DES_CBC_MD5
    2. changed user attribute msDS-SupprtdEncryptionTypes to 2 , this account we were used for kerberos authentication.
    3. Logged off from the server and then server doesn't allow any user to login.
    regards,
    Jakk

Have you tried connecting to the server from a 2nd DC? Have you tried installing the RSAT tools on a domain member server and modify the offending policy ?
last choice would be restart the DC into safe mode.

"Hope I'll get a solution soon"

You probably run the WebLogic once as the super user and are now trying to run it as another.
you could issue a chown or chmod -R 777
Also a remark that provided here: Opening of wallet based credential store failed. Reason java.io.IOException
"It appears the my config/fmwconfig/cwallet.sso file was corrupted, possibly by a previous WebLogic crash. The cwallet.sso file in my fmwconfig directory was only 77bytes, but it should have been larger. I was able to find a previous version of the cwallet.sso file in the /tmp/cred* directories, and restored the file. That allowed me to start up WebLogic, but I had lost some data in cwallet.sso that I needed to re-enter in FMW Control."

  • Unable to Login remote server through WSX

    Hi all,
I am new to WSX and I have installed WSX 1.0.2  with workstation 9 and I am able to login using local admin. Also I am able to add a server which is in my network. but I couldn't login to that server to access VMs shared in that server. my username has been added in that server as administrator. Please help.

    Found the solution here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/6d8745e0-c4c1-463a-b4bb-09f6c9c22527
    Workaround:
Download the RSAT package intended for Windows 8 Release Preview: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28972
Extract the .msu file with a tool such as 7-Zip.
Open an Admin command prompt and change directory to where you extracted the .msu.
Run the following command to install (if x86 you probably have a different .xml filename): pkgmgr /n:Windows6.2-KB2693643-x64.xml
Wait a while. You can look in task manager for pkgmgr. When it disappears, the installation is done.
Use the tools as per usual.

  • Unable to login to Server 2003 using adminitrator domain account

We were not able to login to a domain server with server 2003 using a Domain Admin account. We were able to log in using a Local Admin account. We tried dropping and re-adding the server to the domain, but still had the same issue. After logging in using
the Local Admin account we created a new SID using sysinternals. This seemed to work, but the next day after a server reboot, we encountered that issue again. Any ideas why this is happening and why creating a new SID seems to fix the issue until a reboot?

Try adding Domain Admins to local administrators group.
