Sync video clip to iPad

Trying to sync a video clip to iPad 4 using iTunes. All software up to date. Clip originally in .mts form, but I have converted to .mov, .mp4 and .m4v files. None will sync, even though files clearly shown in number count of files included in sync. File is in a folder on desktop with photos, all of which do sync.

If it's one of the supported video formats
http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
Then
- drag it into your library on iTunes
- connect your iPad and select it
- Click the "Videos" tab
- Enable "sync Movies" and either automatically include all or select this video.
- Click "apply"
If it's not a supported format (either it won't drag in at all, or it will fail when you try to sync it),
then you will need to convert it.  I use Handbrake:

Note, under iTunes 11, a lot of videos now show up onder "Home Movies" rather than "Movies".

Hi please advise as to how to load home video clips to ipad.I have a sony hrddisk camcorder.
    Thanks

Thanks.. I was able to drag a clip from my iphoto onto my movie page in itunes.  Then I selected it when I connected my ipad but it didn't sync.  The other issue is with the keynote.  When in keynote on the ipad the only choice is iphoto to get images.  The video clip needs to be in iphoto, doesn't it in order for me to put it on a slide?

  • Transferring video clips from iPad

I transferred MP4 (MPEG-4) video clips from a GoPro camera to my 1st gen. iPad. Now I am trying to figure out how to transfer them to my PC so I can edit them. I can watch them on the iPad, but when I try to view them from my PC they do not show up (the still photos do). Apple has not been any help. Any ideas or recommended software?
The files are too big to email from the iPad.
    Thanks!

You could try whether apps such as Simple Photo & Video Transfer Lite (free app, there is also a paid version called Simple Transfer) work - they transfer via wifi, though I don't know whether they'll work for your clips.

  • Syncing Videos to iPhone/iPad

I have videos recorded on a Canon PowerShot G10 in Aperture. How can I sync those to my iPad? iTunes transparently “optimizes” photos for my iPhone and iPad, but doesn't do the same for videos. How can I get iTunes (or Aperture) to do the same for videos being synced to mobile devices?

Don't you need the pro version of Quicktime to convert to iPod/iPad? Or is that now standard?

Holy crap you guys! I'm spinning with outstretched arms knocking stuff over jubilantly screaming "YESSS"! while you guys sit, spinning in your chairs saying "great we saved another idiot..."
I was told my videos would appear in my photo album.
Thank you. ThanK YOU! I need to go have some fun now. Wow, it looks great!
Thanks again. Am I really an idiot...

  • OK, so what's with viewing video clips on iPad?

So we got this iPad 2 already a while ago, and watching video clips has been always a challenge... YouTube has been working fine, Netflix movies -- perfect, but when going to different news or sports sites, even using those sites' apps — video clips mostly don't work, many times presenting the QuickTime icon on the screen (sometimes with audio, no video)...
I know there's been an everlasting issue with Flash Player and iPad, but isn't it time to find a workaround?  Am I missing something?
    ...Thanks...

I was more thinking of some plug-in that allows Flash Player to work on the iPad...  A browser, like Chrome or Safari means we can't use the apps that the media outlets have, and where we want to watch video clips...
    As to your 2nd claim, I don't get it, I don't get Adobe's logic...

  • Cannot delete a video clip from iPad, the Edit button doesn't appear ?

With iMovie for iOS (iPad) I try to permanently delete a video clip from my iPad.
I follow the article http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3186. But even if the video clip I want to delete is not used in a project, I simply do not find the Edit button in the upper-left corner above the Video browser as mentionned.
    This is a screenshot
the Ipad is running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206), the video are not stored in 'pellicule'
    Am I crazy ?
    Thank you for any help.

Did you shoot the video in iMovie?
Or did you shoot it via the camera app?
If it was shot in the camera app, then it needs to be deleted in the Photos app.
Can you see the video in the photos app?
You can permanently delete a video clip from your device as long as it’s not in the Camera Roll or the Photos app.

  • Problems with syncing videos to my iPad

I used to be able to sync the videos which I take using my iPhone, to my iPad with no problems. However, whenever I try to do so now, iTunes will automatically shut down. iTunes debugger doesn't work and will cause my laptop to hang. The videos play fine in the laptop and on the iPhone. Is there a solution for this?

Are the videos in iTunes or iPhoto?
Try unchecking the Include videos option, on the Photos tab, and see this thread -> iTunes Crashes while selecting 'include video' in Sync Photos.
You can import the video into iTunes, then right click and choose to convert it for the iPhone or iPad

  • Two synced video clips come out of sync in the middle

I am working on a two camera project and I have synced the cameras using a sync point. At first the videos remain in sync and play fine, but shortly into playback the tracks come out of sync. I have not moved any of the tracks. How do I keep this from happening?
I am using Final Cut Express HD 4 and am working from an external hard drive. It is a Lacie 500GB -8Mb Cache - 7200RPM Mini Hub. The max interface transfer rate is 400Mbits/s for firewire and 480Mbits/s for USB 2.0

Does the video from the two cameras go out of sync with each other or the audio? What are the item properties for the two clips?

  • Syncing Videos on Multiple iPad's

    Hi There.
I am struggling to find a way to achieve something for our local cricket team.
Basically, what they want to do is take videos via iPad's of cricketers taking their swings etc then store them in a central respository.
So really, What they probably want is some sort of drop-box type feature, but as they are videos and their internet is not that great, we don't really want to upload evey video to the internet.
What I would really like is something like an Apple time capsule to sync the video folders, but I cannot determine if it is capable of doing it.
They need to be able to review the videos in a year, or immediately.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks.
    David.

iTunes menu > Edit > Preferences
on the devices tab,try pressing the button at the bottom
    Reset Sync History

  • Syncing video shot from ipad and Canon HF M41

I just noticed a problem with my video files.
I'm trying to combine video from different cameras, the main ones being a Canon Hf M41, a Canon HV20 (these two line up perfectly), and my iPad. The problem is that the iPad video is just a hair slower than the Canon cameras. When trying to line everything, up the first few minutes are fine, then a slight echo becomes noticeable, and it slowly gets worse and worse.
I also recorded audio using an Apogee Duet into Pro Tools which lines up great with the Canon units' audio. Why is the iPad different and how can I fix it?
    Thanks - Tom ZZZ

    Thanks for the response, Jakob.
I just checked my iPhone and iPad frame rates in iPhoto. I shot two videos on each my iPad and iPhone, same times, a little different position, and this is the result.
Video one on my iPhone was shot at 24.76 fps, 1.8GB in size, and on my iPad at 25.11 and 3.1 GB.
Video 2 was shot on my iPhone at 24.66 and 802MB in size. My iPad says 24.01 for the same scene.
With the Canon units I'm shooting in Cinema mode, full manual.

  • I'm struggling to move video clips from my macbook pro to my ipad. a few play but most won't go over in the sync. What format do I need to clips to be in?

Greetings. I'm attempting to sync video clips from my macbook pro to my ipad 2 without much success.  A few videos go over and the rest can't. What format do they need to be in?  Thanks for any help you can give.  JWA

QuickTime Pro costs a few buck but is a good tool to have on hand as it can open and transcode a wide variety of video and audio formats.
It's like a Swiss Army knife for media files.

  • Sync videos to iPad from Aperture with Videos on external HD

    Hi,
I have the a problem when trying to sync videos with my ipad through Aperture.
When I sync videos which are in the mediafolder on the macbook the videos are perfectly synced to my ipad.
But when I have my videos (and Foto Originals) moved to an external Harddisk the videos don't show up in my ipad (the fotos does).
Seems like one hasn't thought about that function inside aperture to be handled by the sync interface in itunes.
Thanks in advance for your domments and maybe a hint to solve the problem?
    Joe

Thanks for your quick response Frank,
this helps to understand the intention on how the applications are programmed, but this is really not very userfriendly How to handle Fotos and Videos if you don't have enough space on your macbook.
Do I have to put the whole mediafolder from aperture to an external disk. Than I don't have the benefit of having a smaller mediafolder on my macbook, without the originals, which I do want to have on an external drive.
Today we're not only talking about external Harddrives, but NAS and iCloud, so I guess this should be optimized then.
But of course this is at the address from apple then, or is there somehow a workaround for that problem??
Thanks fo any help out there
