Sync will not complete step 7?

My ipod touch will no longer sync . All is oK until step 7 then it goes no furhter.

I do not remember what step 7 is. Please rerefresh my memory (what is listed in the iTunes stus bar besides step 7)

My iTunes Match will not complete Step 3 of the uploading process. I have over 700 "items" designated as "waiting." I have restarted multiple times but it stalls at this point.

I've been reading all these comments about how match is not working and people are having problems uploading all their songs. My problem is more basic than that. When I open iTunes I immediately get the spinning color disc of death and I can't do anything at all. I can't go to the store. I can't listen to a song. I can't do anything. I just tried to sync my iPod. I pugged it into my computer, iTunes started up, looked like it was going to sync, then the spinning disc again. So forget match; I can't do anything, nada, nothing. I even tried to send my iTunes application to trash, but I got a message saying I couldn't do that because it was needed for OS X. Talk about a do loop, this is unbelievable.
Is anyone else having the problem I am having?

Are you asking about the 4 digit passcode used to open the iPad? Or are you referring to our Apple ID and password?

When attempting to sync my phone today, I noticed that my syncs are not "completing". They get to step 5 or 6 of 8 and then stop. Consequently, none of my music is syncing. What is the problem and how do I address it? Thanks!

Sync will not complete

Installed latest versions of itunes and iphone (5S). Sync starts, but will not finish. Stuck for two hours + on "Finishing sync".
Turned phone off and back on. Rebooted windows 8.1. No effect. Same problem.

Itouch will not complete step 1 of sync process

iTunes comes up and it recongizes the iTouch and starts the sync process but never completes (not even overnight) step 1 (backing up) of the sync process. We have this set for a manual manage music and videos.
The other iTouch we have (same model and set up to manual manage also) has no issues with the sync.
Looking for how to 'fix' the first iTouch so we can complete a sync.

your saved backup for this ipod touch maybe damaged and iTunes can not read it anymore. Go to iTunes/settings/devices and delete the backup, but make sure you select the right one
Making a copy of the backup folder is also a good idea, in case you'll have to use it again.
The location for the folder is here: Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

You can give this a shot to correct the permissions on your computer. I know you have Windows 8, the Windows 7 will still get you in the right place.

We used the same library.
What is de-authorize?
Since we use the same library: Can I simply remove her's from the old, and then plug it into the new?
Or, since I moved the library over, did her's automatically come with it?

Should solve it.

Iphone 4 will not complete sync, stuck on last step

Updated iPhone to iOS 5.1 the other day, now iPhone 4 will not complete the sync cycle. It gets stuck on step 7 of 7, waiting for artwork to sync. I am running this on a Windows-based machine, and while I have synced daily in the past, I have NOT synced my contacts list and the like. I do NOT want to Restore my phone at this point; I'd like to see if there's a fix out there for this problem first as I don't want to have to rekey in all my contacts. Restore is last resort. On your iPad tap Settings > Store
Switch Books off then back on then reset your iPad.
