Sync will not recognize any iPhoto albums

The title pretty much says it all...

First, are the iPhoto albums available in another iLife application such as iMovie or iDVD? If not, then there is an issue with iPhoto's data. Follow the steps in this article:

While the issue there is not the same, the theory in the information could apply to your issue as well.
You can also try syncing from iPhoto in a new User on your Mac:

If the issue persists in the new user, it is either iTunes or iPhoto that is the source of the issue. You can reinstall iTunes over the existing installation. If the issue is still present, you may need to remove the components of iTunes and then reinstall:

I have Windows 8.1 on my PC. Ever since downloading the latest version of i Tunes, it will not recognize any of my i Pods (3) and therefore am unable to sync any music from my i Tunes to the i Pods. I've tried all the obvious things like resarting the PC as well as the i Pods tried different patch cables but the i Tunes software will no longer recognize my i Pods. I have automatic sync selected, but I even tried to manually sync by clicking on devices under File but the sync icon is "grayed" out. When I look under Preferences and click on devices the serial numbers of my i Pods appear and are correct but again will not recognize the i Pod when plugged in to the PC. Bottom line I'm dead in the water....appreciate any suggestions....thanks

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver. If the issue persists try all remaining steps.

The ipod is not a backup/storage device.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one.
The Apple store will do this for you, you can call apple support and they will help you, you can use google.

DVD Drive will not recognize any movie DVD disk in the drive - thus will not play any dvd movies.

HP G71 449WV dvd drive will not recognize any dvd disc that has a movie on it. Will not play movies, keeps saying to insert disc when there is a disc in there. It will recognize a dvd data disc or a blank dvd, it just will not recognize any dvd movies. I've tried the microsoft fix it, downloaded new codecs, using different dvd playback software but none of that works since the drive will not recognize there is even a dvd movie in the drive. Computer is out of warranty.

It appears that you're not able to play movie DVD's in the DVD player in your notebook. I will try to assist you with this.
I'd recommend starting with this document:

Also, are these purchased DVD's or burnt DVD's?
Do the movies play in other sources? (DVD player, other PC)

Most likely the phone is locked to a carrier that you haven't tried yet.

APE11 will not recognize any blu-ray media

I have APE11 and attempting to burn a project to blu-ray. My problem is that APE11 recognizes the blu-ray burner but will not recognize any blu-ray discs. I have tried various BD-R and BD-R DL discs to no avail. I receive a "Media not present" message. If I select the same burner but choose to create a DVD, I receive a "Incompatible disc" message. This leads me that it sees the discs but I'm not sure what's up with the blu-ray option. The blu-ray discs are Verbatim and Windows recognizes the discs as well. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

What Blu-ray burner do you have? Is it recognized in the Device Manager under DVD/CD-ROM drives? Driver and Firmware up to date?
What burn software came with the Blu-ray burner? If it is part of the CyberLink family, can you use the PowerProducer of the series to burn to Blu-ray disc format on a Blu-ray disc using these Blu-ray discs that Premiere Elements burn dialog is labelling "Media Not Present"? I would like to see the results of that test if possible.
Just to get it out of the way (maybe helpful), let us flush the preferences...
Assuming your Premiere Elements 11 is on Windows 7 or 8 64 bit....

and in the 11 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs Folder that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 11 Folder in which it exists.Make sure that you are working with Folder Options/Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the path described.
If that does not work, a complete Deactivation from Help Menu/Deactivate followed by the usual Control Panel uninstalled followed by reinstall may be in order. I am hoping the results from a CyberLink PowerProducer burn to may give us some valuable information so that we do not have to resort to uninstall/reinstall.
Are you using BD-R 25 GB 2X? What is this BD-R DL? Is that the 50 GB for Blu-ray? Do you have any BD-RE 25 GB 6X? How much are you planning on putting on this Blu-ray disc in terms of Space Required and duration?
Let us start here and then we can decide what next.

I'd start by looking in system profiler.
the blue Apple icon > About this Mac > More info...
goto the hardware section. Scroll down and click on USB
See what happens when you have the device plugged in & not plugged in.
Move keyboard & mouse around to verify that ports work. Plug device in a port that worked with keyboar or mouse. Keyboard usb ports are rather low power.
Perhaps device is taking too much power. Are devices power or unpowered? Try connecting devices to a usb hub.
Which mac do you have?
What iMac do you have?
Report system info
Blue apple > about this Mac
click on more info
click on hardware
do not copy your serial number

Panther is quite outdated operating system, it would be better if you could upgrade atleast to 10.4 "Tiger", 10.5 "Leopard" is the last operating system which will work with PowerPC -processors (G3, G4 and G5) so you might want to upgrade as much as you can at once. Apple does not seem to host any versions of iTunes on their website which would work on 10.3 "Panther". iTunes 10.1 will not work with Panther. I Googled quickly and it seems that iTunes 7 is the last series which workd on 10.3 but they might too old to support your new iPods.
I think you'll need to upgrade your OS.

Veer will not recognize any SIM card - Check SIM - SOS only

My phone will not recognize any sim... i tried a few and it just keeps saying check sim... i bypass the activation via devmode but i cannot get it to recognize the sim. I even went thru the trouble of using webos doctor and everything went well but still will not recognize my sims....

Itunes on my Imac G5 will not recognize any of my ipods

I was given an Imac G5, which has hardly been used and had never ever had any updates. I connected my Ipod Classic and Nano ( all circa 2007, 2009) and Itunes doesn't recognize it as an Ipod so I cannot sync them. I am very new to the Mac World and would like to know if I can update the operating system ( Panther Mac OS X) to another more current system. I downloaded Itunes 10.1 but all I keep getting is a window saying "The Installer Package " Install Itunes" cannot be found. The Bill of Materials for this package was not found". None of my ipods will show up as devices in iTunes. System profiler recognizes the ipod as a USB device. I am using a brand new cable and have tried multiple USB ports on the computer itself.
I am running the latest version of iTunes...

Power Mac G4 will not Recognize any Internal Hard Drives

My G4 was working fine and I wanted to install a driver for a 'Twin Turbo Mac Video Card' I had in a PCI slot but it required OS9 running. At the time, I had two internal drives 230 and 120 G running 10.4.11 but no OS9. However, I did have an external Firewire Drive with OS9 and OSX. I set my "Startup Disk" preference to boot from FW drive and selected OS9 then shut down my G4. When I powered back on I got the standard "gong" but on my display I saw a "Mac Folder and a Question Mark". I believe that means the system can't find a drive. Is that correct? I reverted back to my original configuration with the internal drives and the FW drive disconnected and I still see the "Folder and Question Mark". I inserted the Tiger DVD, held down the "C" key and it still will not boot from the DVD either. I once again tried connecting a FireWire External drive with OS 10.4.11 installed and the internal drives disconnected and still no bootup. I swapped out Memory, replaced the Motherboard and the battery and even tried resetting the PRAM. Still that stupid Question Mark is showing!! This has really got me puzzled. Any ideas or suggestions out there?

Depressing/holding the Option key at startup activates the Startup Manager (not open firmware). The resulting window shows all of the available startup volumes (hard drives, CD, DVD, etc).

test if it charges with an ac charger
test if it's detected by another computer
if it's no to both then likely the connector is broken
if it's yes to both thne it's likely your computers itunes install which is the problem

Imac in windows xp will not recognize any CD's

I am having a problem with with my imac in windows. It seems to me that it is not recognizing any cd that is placed in the drive. I tried to re-install my Mac install disc 1 for a bootcamp repair.. but could not find it on the drive to start it up. I did have a blue screen last night, telling me that it was reformatting my drive. This was after I installed a driver from HP website. I hope I do not have to reinstall Windows XP again! Not sure that this helps, but The Zen Vision M relies on Windows Media Player 0 (Windows Media Player 0 was the player that came with Windows XP). If you are running Windows XP you need to roll back your Windows Media Player (which has probably been updated to ) back to 0. If however you are running Windows 7 there is a bigger problem in that you cannot (as far as I've been able to ascertain) roll back to Windows Media Player 0 because Windows 7 won't support it
