I have random songs that a have paid for but they just disappear, or cannot be downloaded and so on. Sometimes they are indexed wrongly, and can't be found because of that, no work around because also the search function of itunes has gotten totally unusable. Not much fun to be an apple user anymore. I once used to be a very loyal user. My first apple was a Macintosh SE and an image writer II.

Datalist with scrollbar, can't get it to work

Hi all there,
I've tried this over and over, but i can't get this to work;
I have selected an picture (thumbnail) AND selected a vertical scrollbar (with shift click) The scrollbar is from catalyst itslef, so not a custom made 1.
I then (with again both selected) convert these to data list.
When done, i select within the data list the thumbnail and set this towards the Repeated item.
I now have (by default) 5 thumbnails. I add some more to my likings.
And now i'm blanc.
When previeuwing this in my browser i can see the thumnails, including the hover state, i can see the image of the scrollbar but... the scrollbar does not work.
I cant even click the butto on it. It looks just like a picture without any functionality.
I've consulted the web, read Classroom in a Book over and over again, but whatever i do, even within the tutorials comming with the Classroom book, i can't get this to work.
Help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I'm simply stuck.

A 1 overnight sleep did the trick for me.
I redid all the work after some testing. It works now as intended. Can't recall where i did it wrong the first place.

PlayBook Contact & Calendar Sync/Video Chat - can't get them to work

I love my PlayBook ((OS 2.1.0.1088) and as a BB9790 user had never bothered to try to use native contacts/calendar applications until recently when a couple of relatives bought PBs and asked me questions. I have a number of GMail accounts which work brilliantly for mail receiving and sending on the PB, but have failed totally to get contacts and calendar to sync despite selecting that option for one of these. In desparation created a new Hotmail account, imported some key Outlook contacts and tried to sync them with my PB. Nothing. If I try to create a new contact I always get the message after tapping to enter the contact information: "Application was interrupted. Please close and open it again to continue." If I do that and restart contacts, nothing changes. I tried deleting all my email accounts and starting again with a GMail as the primary email with sync for contacts and calendar, but the problem persists. This also impacts Video Chat as it uses the same contact application so is unusable. If I search Contacts it appears to do a remote lookup but never finds any contacts.
The Calendar application when opened just shows the Calendar app icon in the top left corner with 31 and no calendar. Swiping down to show the settings, indicates 3 GMail calendars from different accounts are in place and if I press refresh it suggests a sync is taking place but no calendar framework ever appears, let alone entries.
Would appreciate any suggestions as I have read all the related PB contacts' forums which haven't offered a solution to this particular issue. Thanks

Compiling with dependencies -- can't get it to work!

I have a small application that depends on a couple of JAR files provided by the Apache Commons folks. In my IDE, I just add those JAR files to the classpath (or I've also verified that I can do so at the command line). However, I need to run this application on a machine that I'm not developing on, and even though I've matched drive letters and directory paths, etc, I'm still having problems at the command line:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/httpclient/HttpException
All I have are two class files and then the two Apache Commons JAR files, and on both machines I have all of these 4 files in the same directory. As far as I can tell, the classpath matters only for javac (compilation), and doesn't affect anything when running an app.
The best thing would be to just compile it on the other machine, but it only has the JRE at the moment, and I can't restart it to fully install the compiler just anytime I want since it's a server that needs to stay up most of the time.
So, I've been trying to create a JAR files that hopefully would just contain EVERYTHING the app would need. I've tried to figure out how to compile the JAR so that it includes those other JAR files and the classes know to look in those included JAR files for the packages they need, but I don't know how to do this. I've wondered if you can somehow set the classpath for creating a JAR file (like on the command line when you're actually creating the JAR), but I haven't found anything like that online.
Please give me your best shot for getting this thing running...

Never mind--you CAN use -classpath at runtime (when calling java to run the program).

How do you get that time code to the smpte "in" on the vs2480? I tried using an audio out signal from the video and sent it to the smpte in jack via rca cables but, it doesn't seem to recognize any signal. any insignt would be greatly appreciated.

it don't matter if your ipad is not the air if what you attempt to sync with it can't be played on the ipad because it don't support the format it will inform you

In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer.

Are you aware it only syncs iMessages. Also once enabled only new messages will sync, try messaging the user from the Mac and see if that gets things going for you.

TS4268 After following instructs from apple to set up iPhone as new phone can I re-sync with my iTunes to get all my contacts back

after the new IOS 7 update, my 4s would not activate facetime or imessage. I called apple and walk thru a simple reset. waited 24 hours and still no activation. I followed Apple's online trouble shoot and reset phone and set up as a new phone. Can I now re-sync with my itunes to get back all my lost contacts, notes, music, etc etc?

usually when you set up as a new phone it will ask you in the options if you would like to restore from last back-up, what i would do is, start again by deleting everything and setting it up as a new iphone again and after that on your iphone it will go through steps of setting it up again such as 'enable my location' and so on. when it comes up on the last option 'back up from last back-up' press the option you would like and then on your computer while having it plugged in go on prefrences on the itunes tab at the top, and click backing up and it will show you your recently backed up files, click okay after pressing the option you would like on your phone,,, this will only work with ios5.

I only have one video project that I ever published to iDisk. It didn't have any music or photo files attatched to it, just a few clips stitched together. I can play these clips right now in the Event Library (so I know the source files are on my computer), but strangely, under the Project Library, the project is not there. I'm almost certain that I didn't store the project on iDisk; I just completed the video and published it to iDisk (as a .mov file I think) for family to see. I've tried to figure out how to get iDisk to stop looking for this project to no avail.
I don't know if others have experienced this, but if I click on any project and on the menu bar select Share --> Remove From --> Media Browser... it lists iPod, iPhone, iPad, tv, Computer and MobileMe. Why would MobileMe be an option here? This is the case for any video project I select. Didn't iLife '11 and/or OSX 10.8 remove all mention of MobileMe? I wonder if this is part of the problem too.
Edit: I just removed every project I have from the Media Browser. Still no luck.

It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.
