Sync with outlook (calendar problem)

I used to sync and everything was all right, but now (I don't know after what) everything syncs but my calendar. I use microsoft outlook 2003 and all my app.s are up to date.
Now, contacts are syncing but not calendar. any ideas? I am going insane...
thx..

At times, Outlook's pst file can become corrupt for one reason or another. This can cause issues when you are syncing to the iPhone. Look at this link from Microsoft in regards to running a check on the pst file to repair any problems you may have.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227
Once you run that, try another sync. If it still won't sync, you may have to go into iTunes preferences and reset the sync history and try again. That will usually correct the problems that can occur. Also, make sure you have all of the pertinent updates to both XP and Office 2003.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8110, and I upgraded the Desktop Manager, then it quit syncing with outlook calendar.  It does sync with noes, memos, addresses, but no calendar.  when the sync is getting to the calendar it says "please wait" then just kicks me out.  No error message in the log, nothing.  I even retrograded back to 4.7.0.17, but no changed.  Here is what else I have:
    Blackberry 4.5.0 Core Applications 4.5.0
    Blackberry 4.5.0 System Software Properties
    Blackberry MDS runtime Properties 4.5.0.20
The calendar is the big thing for me.  Any Ideas??
    Thanks

I just wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem with my 8120 and it started on the 18th.  I spent 3 hours, 39 minutes, and 42 seconds on the phone with BB support yesterday with no luck and we tried every trick they could think of.  I'll certainly let you know if I find any information since I too can't live without my calendar.

Can anyone help, since updating iTunes to version 8.1.0.52 my iPhone will not sync with Outlook Calendar 2007. I have deleted itunes and re-installed as per Apples instructions and this has no effect. Everything was fine up to the point of updating iTunes. iPhone syncs with everything else just fine.

I am having the same problem since last update. I thought it was my wife's sync with a Nokia but after deleting that sync it still is not happening and trying to sync the calendar events for hours. Would love for iTunes to fix the problem.

  • Itune sync with outlook calendar

everytime itune sync with outlook calendar,
a calendar folder under Outlook calendar is created.
iphone only sync with the newly created blank folder
    therefore, nothing.

    Answer Jbieber16:
Normally, when I sync my HTC (Pocket PC) with my notebook, I just plug USB cord to HTC (micro USB head) and notebook (regular USB head).  Microsoft Mobile Device Center will automatically start and then sync data between HTC and notebook (sync Microsoft Outlook data, musics, photo, and Microsoft Office files in designated folder).
When sync completed, Microsoft Outlook's contacts, calendar, notes, emails as well as musics, photo, and Microsoft Office files in HTC and Notebook will be identical and updated.
Without USB cord, it can be synced via Bluetooth (cordless).
Note: I posted this question because some of my friends using iPhone told me that "data of Microsoft Outlook will partially sync to iPhone via iTune, not all data".  So I check before sync Microsoft Outlook data with my new iPad2.

  • How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

Sorry iphones are meant to be sync to one iTunes media library.
You could copy your music and put it on your work computer and then sync it.
If you try to sync to one and then sync to other its going to wipe the phone and remove the old sync with the new sync.

  • ITunes v7 no longer syncs with Outlook Calendar

I just updated iTunes from version 6 to version 7. BIG MISTAKE. I can no longer sync my outlook calendar. It does now sync Outlook contacts which did not work with the old version, but now calendar no longer syncs but it did in the old version. My calendar is extremely important and this has really upset me. I am now looking for a way to fix the problem or revert to the older version of iTunes.

I have the same problem. Both my Outlook contacts and calendar would sync with the previous version of iTunes, but after upgrading to v7, the calendars disappeared! I find this very upsetting, as well. There seems to be no support for this on Apple's page. Exporting each appointment individually is not a practical option when your calendar is full. I hope this problem is fixed as soon as possible.

  • N86 no longer syncs with Outlook Calendar and Task

I have been having much troubles with syncing my N86 (recently updated to 30.009 firmware) to my Outlook 2003 with Ovi Suite 2.1.1.1.
At first, the Contacts kept duplicating themselves.  I have about 1000 contacts in my Outlook, but Ovi Suite (and my N86 device) ends up sometimes with 1800 contacts -- of which 800 are duplicates.  This is very annoying and time consuming to clean up of course.  I have discovered that the problem is somehow linked to Ovi.com.  I have since turned off syncing to Ovi.com and only keep my N86 device in sync with Outlook and Ovi Suite.  But that wasn't before I had to basically delete all my contacts from the N86 device and from Ovi Suite, followed by a sync to Outlook.
Around this same time, I have noticed that my N86 device was missing appointments that I had entered into Outlook 2003.  I discovered that the N86 device no longer syncs to Outlook through Ovi Suite.  I keep getting the error message "Sync Canceled -- Could not sync calendar items and tasks. Plug the USB cable into your device again or connect via Bluetooth. Then sync again."  I did reconnect my N86 device but the same error message shows each time.  Basically, Ovi Suite has stopped syncing Calendar items with my N86 device now.
Can anyone suggest what might have gone wrong?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  What can I do to get my calendar items back into my device?

    Hi Tickles,
Could you be more specific about your issue.
Which operating system do u use?
Are you trying to connect thru cable or thru Bluetooth?
Go to OVI suite -> help -> About nokia OVI suite -> System information. Paste the information...

  • Device Manager not Syncing with Outlook Calendar

My calendar stopped syncing after I deleted my account at Blackberry Internet Service web site (because IT changed the server name).
Now.....my calendar does not sync with Outlook.
I uninstalled my previous version of desktopmanager & just downloaded Desktopmanger 5.0.1 for Vista w/ Outlook 2007.  My memopad is syncing fine, but not my calendar.
I tried "clearing the device database calendar" and I made sure that wireless sync is OFF.  I tried a one way sync from Outlook to my device.
    Nothing seems to work.
    Any ideas?

  • My iphone won't sync with outlook calendar

My iphone 4 won't sync with my Outlook 2007 calendar.  It was working fine a couple of days ago and now it won't sync!!  Help!!!!

Does iTunes Show an error message?
How did you setup syncing with Outlook, are you syncing them via iTunes using USB or Wi-Fi or an Exchange server?
For more info on USB syncing and all of the other options, take a look at this Apple doc -> iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
If you aren't sure try setting up USB syncing again, just connect the iPhone to the computer, open iTunes, click the Info tab across the top of the screen, scroll down to Contacts and choose to sync contacts.
    Contacts
To sync contacts with your computer, choose  "Sync Contacts with" within iTunes for Windows, or "Sync Address Book Contacts" on your Mac.
You can sync your contacts with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
    Windows Address Book (Windows XP)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista / Windows 7)
    Address Book (Mac OS X)
Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2008, or Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
Note:  If using Microsoft Entourage, use Microsoft Entourage 2008 12.1.2 or later  if syncing with Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you would like to sync data on your Mac with Entourage, enable syncing between Entourage and Address Book.
    Notes:
When syncing contacts, you can choose to sync all of your contacts or only selected groups. The option to sync selected items may not show up until after the first sync.
You can select a group of contacts to which all new contacts created on your iOS device will be added.
Additional options for syncing include syncing your contacts with Yahoo or Gmail/Google Mail.  You will need to configure it with the user name and password for your Yahoo or Google account.

  • Curve won't sync with Outlook Calendar 2007

    First the specs:
    BB 8330m (CDMA) - Cellular South - running v 4.5.0.127
    Win XP Pro SP3
    Outlook 2007
DM is v  5.0.0 B28 Multilanguage - With Media Manager
    No BES
    The problem:
Although the phone and Outlook Calendar had been able to sync (either through Bluetooth or USB) for ages without problem, that, clearly, is no longer the case.
There is no error message.  Contacts, Tasks, and Notepad (also through Outlook) still sync without problems. Checking the sync log with all categories set to sync shows that all programs did sync, without making any mention of the calendar.  If you sync with only the calendar checked, no log is created, and the sync bar pauses for only a few seconds at the One Moment Please ..... stage and then blinks off. This is not a shared calendar.
Steps already taken, in no particular order:
Insured that appropriate email address set as CICAL, and deleted any other CICAL service books.
    Reset Configuration for sync
Tried different USB ports (although, as stated, other programs sync)
From Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs, repaired DM.
From DM Backup and Restore: Backed-up BB, then deleted all entries in Calendar-All
Confirmed that H-Key Current User and Local Machine had appropriate permission
    Deleted Intelisync Folder
Insured that Microsoft Outlook was set as default email in Internet Options
Hard resets of BB and frequent reboots of computer throughout the process.
There were probably a couple of other simple steps taken which I have forgotten to list.
Last effort: Uninstalled and Reinstalled DM while simultaneously hard resetting BB.
One other thing which is probably not related but I pass it on in case:
Whereas while trying all of the above, I was using only the "Personal Folders\ Calendar" for the specific purpose of ruling out this failure to sync issue, I have always previously synced two calendars: PersonalFolders\Calendar and PersonalFolders\Calendar\SubCalendar, with this subfolder calendar set as the default.  Thus anything I put on my BB calendar synced to Subcalendar on the PC, while both Calendar and SubCalendar from the PC synced to the single calendar on the BB.  Trying to set that up again after all of the steps above had failed, I see what may be an issue.  While in the Folder Mapping window, it says Calendar <---> 2 Mapped Folders, left of the Map Folders button, it says 1 folder(s) mapped.  Now I assume that it says this because one calendar is a subfolder of the other, but I throw it out there just in case it is, in fact, significant.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might offer.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Try deleting all the "email_address [CICAL]" service books and sync after that.

  • HT1386 Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Outlook calendar.  Has any one else seen this?

Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Calendar in XP Outlook.  Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?  I've already made sure the proper check boxes are on in Itunes and tried the reset sync history.  Also re-downloaded Itunes again.  Same problem.

Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.

i had same problem. everything worked fine backing up iphone to macbook pro and Ical until IOS 5 upgrade, then selective entries on Iphone wouldn't backup to Ical despite repeated attempts. I did what you did, turned off calander iCloud feature so it backs up only to MacBook and it seems to have solved problem.

  • DM 4.6 will not sync with Outlook Calendar

Using Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2003, BB Pearl 8130.  Used DM 4.3 for nearly a year without issue.  Just upgraded to DM 4.6.  During sync, DM will read addresses, tasks, and memos, and appears to read the calendar from the device, but when it gets to reading the Outlook Calendar, I get "program has encountered an error and must shut down".  I uninstalled 4.6, tried 4.5, then back to 4.3 but exact same issue with each version now.  I can change the settings in sync to skip sync of calendar and all is well.  But as soon as I check calendar in settings, same issue.  I have uninstalled and re-installed several times.  I even wiped the device (typical answer from Verizon).  USB cable is on back of laptop, not hub.  Any advice?

Forgot to mention, DM 4.6 seems to run much slower than DM 4.3 used to.
yes, there is a speed gap between 4.3 (fast) and 4.5/4.6 (slow).

    Hi,
I tried this after suffering the same issue with my iPhone calendar not synching with my Outlook Exchange account(used for work):
Close the calendar app on your iPhone
In Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars.
    Select the Exchange account.
set the Calendars toggle to off (push to the left)
    Open your calendar app
Verify that the Exchange calendar has been deleted.
    Close the calendar app
Return to Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars.
Set the Calendars toggle to on (push to the right-green)
In Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars, select Fetch new data
Set your Exchange account to Push
Open your calendar app.  You should see your Exchange calendar entries populate your calendar in a minute or two.
You should be able to revert your Exchange account to Fetch to save battery life afterwards.
    Cheers

  • IPhone 3G doesn't sync with Outlook calendar using Exchange

First, let me just say I don't need push email, push contacts or push calendar. I just want my iPhone to sync with my existing Outlook 2007 setup like any other PDA would via ActiveSync, without having to rely on iPhone Enterprise Integration.
There are lots of articles in the knowledge-base and forum that describe how to overcome corruption of PST files, but if you're connecting to an Exchange server you'll notice that you might not even have a PST file. Outlook uses OST files for off-line cache instead and creating a PST as your default storage will cause all of the Exchange content to be delivered to your computer and erased from the server. (not good)
I've looked over all the support articles I could find, tried innumerable variations of install / re-install / disable Outlook plug-ins / start with brand new user attempts to no avail. I still have not found a way around this issue.
I know this is possible because my previous phone (a Treo700w) was able to sync contacts and my calendar without any issues and I naturally expected my iPhone to have *at least* the same capabilities.
Feels like a major design flaw for business users. Now I'm stuck with a super slick phone that doesn't do the number 1 thing I need it to do: sync with my Outlook calendar. Sorry for the rant.
Anyone else having an issue with this? As far as I can tell there's no solution posted for it.

MeatX2, I had read that article already. It describes how to overcome corrupt PST files which doesn't apply in my case.
My primary Outlook file is an OST (off-line cache) and my contacts / calendar are stored on an Exchange server. I could create a PST file and set it as the default storage, but that would cause all of my data to be delivered directly to my Outlook and erased from the server (where it is currently backed up and available from multiple computers, my desktop, laptop, etc).
Doesn't seem like Apple has a solution for syncing from OST files like other PDAs do. The only alternative seems to be their Enterprise Integration product which (despite doing cool things like push email, contacts and calendar) isn't something an end-user can install.
I just need iTunes to sync with my Outlook in the same way my old PDA did. Seems a little absurd that Apple would pitch Outlook sync capabilities and miss such a significant use-case completely.
But thanks for the reply anyway...
