Synced photos via iTunes..

I have got a new iPhone and wanted all my personal things onto my new iPhone. Plugged them in and backed them up but I have lost everything on my new iPhone. Cause I had backed them up my images were saved on my MacBook although when it came to syncing them onto my new phone it would not allow me to delete them off of my phone and the images are in 3 different albums.. I am very fussy on presentation and this is really getting on my nerves!!
So.. How can all the images be moved into 1 album??
HELP ME!!

Photos/albums transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are removed from the iPhone in the same way - via the iTunes sync process.
All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library.
Photos in the albums or folders below include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library so the photos are not duplicated as in taking up double the storage space.
This way you can view the photos in an album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos in all albums transferred from your computer by selecting Photo Library.
You cannot change this.

  • Syncing photos via iTunes - getting new error message" "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost"

I am trying to sync photos in a dedicated file on my desktop with the photo library on my iPhone 4S.  Something I have done many times before.
Since upgrading to iTunes 11 I get this message "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost" midway through the sync.  I do not understand this as I am syncing via the USB lead, so how can the connection be lost?
Bascially I just want to update the photos on my iPhone with new photos I have added to the file I use on my computer.
Any help or ideas would be gratefully received.  Thanks.

  • Can no longer sync photos via itunes

iTunes has quit syncing photos to my devices (iPad, iPhone). First I noticed that some photos were not synced by comparing to original folder contents. I tried removing all photos by deselecting the Sync Photos option and deleting the iTunes Photo Cache. Now when I attempt to sync, I immediately receive an error "xx items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information". Where is this information stored and how do I fix this issue?

    For: itunes 10.6.1.7 (on Win 7), iphone 3gs 5.1 (9B176)
I am having a similar issue but on different hardware.  I attempt to sync photos but it only does about half of them.  I receive the "X items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information."
    - iTunes does not provide more information that I can find.
    - I deselected the sync of photos.
    - I restored my Iphone.
    - I deleted the "Ipod photo cache" folder.
    - Syncing the restored phone removed the photos on my Iphone successfully.
    - Syncing the photos again gives the above message.
    What am I doing wrong?
Why does iTunes promise me more information?

  • How do I make iPod Classic import (sync) photos via iTunes so that the photos stay in order by filename and can then be viewed as a slideshow in the correct order?

I carefully number my iPod bound photos so that they are in a desired order by filename.  When I sync the photos to my iPod Classic they are not in the same order.  A typical filename would be:  001 001 IMG-3489.jpg followed by 001 002 IMG-3478.jpg.  Windows uses the first seven characters to order the files and does not care what follows the first seven so long as the first seven are not duplicated within the folder.  My iPod ignores that convention.  HELP! PLEASE!  I want to view my slideshows in the correct order.
    Thanks

Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it  does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
    Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
    Sync your library.
    Good Luck!

Yes, you can.  If syncing on a Mac with iPhoto version 6.0.6 or later, you may enable the option to "Include videos" to sync videos directly from iPhoto to your device. (Requires iOS 3.0 or later).

  • When I synch a file "best photos" via iTunes to my iPhone I get two identical files - "best photos" and Photo library.  I don't know why

When I synch a file "best photos" via iTunes to my iPhone I get two identical files - "best photos" and Photo library.  I don't know why

All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library.
When transferring multiple albums or a single album, the photos in the albums below are not duplicated as in taking double the storage capacity for the photos. Photos in an album or albums below include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library.
This way you can view the photos in an album only by selecting the album, or all photos in all albums by selecting Photo Library. Makes more sense when transferring multiple photo albums from your computer but the same applies when transferring a single album or folder of photos.
The same applies to iTunes playlists. A song placed in a playlist is not duplicated.

  • Sync Photos in iTunes selects 0 photos

I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
    Any thoughts?
Oh, and if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
    Any thoughts?

I solved the mystery. It had to do with the file metadata in the Photoshop Elements catalog. When I moved the catalog (pictures) from my old machine to the new machine, the path (folder location) of the images changed. So, although the catalog had cached thumbnails of the photos to display in Photoshop Elements (which tricked me into thinking that the path to the images was correct), the paths were actually wrong. All I had to do was “reconnect” the missing images (a feature in Photoshop Elements which corrects missing/wrong paths to images) and now everything works correctly (sync in iTunes).

  • Trying to sync photos from iTunes (via iPhoto) to ipad and iPhone. The  Photo tab does not show up and no sync occurs

Trying to sync photos from iphoto to ipad and iphone.  Photo tab does not show up in itunes under devices.

    I had a similar problem (https://discussions.apple.com/message/24525903#24525903)
The solution in my case was to start iPhoto and let it update the library, even thu itunes was set up to sync with Aperture.

  • Syncing photos to iTunes

Why won't my photos sync from my iPhone 4S to iTunes?  Also, is there any way to get my photos from my iPhone to my iPad mini?

Photos do not sync from the phone to iTunes. Photos on the iPhone can be imported to the computer and that is not done via iTunes, it is done via whatever computer software you would use to import photos from a digital camera. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

  • Cannot sync photos in iTunes - stuck at "Optimizing 1 of 35"

    Hi all,
I am running iTunes 8.2.1 and Windows XP.
I have an issue that I'm hoping I can get some assistance with as it appears that several others have had the same issue. I am trying to sync 35 photos to my iPhone via iTunes and the program will get stuck at the optimizing stage (sits at "Optimizing 1 of 35" forever).
I have searched this as well as other forums and have been unsuccessful in obtaining a resolution. Here is what I have tried via online recommendations:
    1) Turned off / on photo syncing.
    2) Deleted the "iPod photo cache" folder".
    3) Moves the files from my NTFS hard drive to a FAT32 drive (thumb drive) and tried to sync from there.
    4) Changed the drive letters of my devices as not to conflict with the iPhone (as per an article from Apple.com)
I have rebooted several times to no avail. In my research some people were saying that it is a permissions issue but I am unclear as to how to give iTunes more permissions on my XP machine (I am the administrator).
The "iPod photo cache" folder creates a bunch of sub folders, the associated two database files, and it appears that it has "thumbs" files in the subfolders but it just gets stuck and locks up all of iTunes.
Everything else is syncing to the iPhone fine (although I just have contacts, music, and bookmarks - no podcasts).
    Any ideas????
    Thanks!

    Hi all,
I spoke with a really nice guy from tech support (Chad) and he resolved the issue! What he had me do is perform the following:
    1) Create a new folder to put the pictures in.
    2) In iTunes check: Edit > Preferences > Devices >Disable Automatic syncing
    3) Click: Edit > Preferences > Devices > Reset Sync History
As soon as I synced again the photos "optimized" in no time and came over no problem! I then turned off "Disable Automatic Syncing" so my iPhone syncs automatically when I plug it in.
It seems that iTunes got all jammed out and resetting the sync history makes it forget about the previous links and what not so that was the solution. I had older photos that I synced with another iPod so that may have attributed to the issue.
Some other cool things I learned that you may know already:
    1) If you open Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard you can copy pictures off that you have taken with the iPhone camera.
    2) If you create subfolders within the main sync folder it will show as different albums under "Photos" on your iPhone.
This device just doubled in cool factor for me and I'm exstatic with Apple support!
Now only if they would come out with an iPhone that can take a SD card.....:)
