Synch app iPhone iTunes

I just got a new mac and when trying to synchronise my iPhone, I cannot synch my applications, the format is different on the iTunes (I have four fixed app on the bottom, and iTunes on the new computer has only 3). I wouldn´t like to get rid of the four app, but I would like to synch the app in the future and not to have to get back to my old computer
Note on the old computer I had 10.2.2 (14) and on the new one 10.2.2. (12) but it doesn´t find any updates.

In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced or manually managed with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When syncing an iPhone with an iTunes library on a new or a different computer and the same for transferring photos, all iTunes content and photos transferred from another computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
After installing a new hard drive, your MB is detected as a new or different computer.
If the Genius Bar was able to recover your entire iTunes named folder from the failed hard drive, which stores your entire iTunes library including 3rd party apps, and placed the iTunes named folder in the same location on your new hard drive, this wouldn't be a problem.
Since all 3rd party apps were obviously not recovered from your failed drive, you have a couple of options. Assuming you have re-authorized your MB with your iTunes account with iTunes, with your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If all 3rd party apps on your iPhone do not transfer to your new iTunes library on your MB, you can re-download the apps with iTunes on your MB and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.

Chris, thanks for the link. I had already looked there, but it didn't answer my question. Actually, as far as I can tell so far, everything seems to be working except my text messages don't seem to be coming through. Nothing is mentioned anywhere about texts and Icloud, but I couldn't receive them on my Android phone until I unassociated my Apple ID from my Iphone and then they started working immediately. Now that I have switched back to the Iphone, I was unable to receive texts yesterday. I have received 2 today, but only those directly to only me, not multiple recipients. It may be that it takes a while to restore that connection.

Synching apps from PC to iTunes/IPhone or iTouch

In the past, I've had issues transferring apps from my new or replacement iPhone to iTunes. Apps would not get synched and everything was lost on both the device and in iTunes.
Soon, I plan to buy an iTouch 4G and I have an entire catalogue of apps on iTunes that I want to synch with the iTouch.
Is there any way to enusre that my apps will be synched TO device without the device deleting OR forcing me to create a brand new profile on iTunes where I wont be able to retrieve and synch my apps from iTunes TO the device?

Same for the ipod touch.
The apps should be in itunes on your computer. If they are not then put them there.
You ipod backs up some info with every sync ( not apps/music/etc, which is hy you need to be sure the apps/music/etc is in itunes on your computer).

ITunes bought app synch to iphone - help please

I have just purchased an app through iTunes due to the size (322mg), when I have gone to sync from app page all greyed out and warns me that synching this will override all my other apps. It does say that you can drag and drop to avaoid this is 3.1 or above but no option to ... any help before I press the button and lose the lot?

3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is not stored with the app. 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is included with your iPod Touch backup and with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
You can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch. This would be the only way if this is possible. It should be but not something I have done.

I don't understand this answer. What do you mean " your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have selected to sync."? The address book is created on the phone not in Itunes or any other program/service. When Itunes says backing up phone I have to assume it backs up everything on the phone. Most of what's on my phone does not come out of itunes. I download apps directly on the phone. When the software updates it does not bring those apps back. I have to go into the appstore and install them all over again. Itunes music library syncs with whatever is on the device your linked up to BUT the phone book just dissappears after you update the phone. There is no way to save it anywhere else.

Make sure you have a full backup of your iPhone before recyncing with the iMac as during this process all data will be wiped out from your iPhone.
Going forward you may want to check icloud which makes life easier.

Apps in iTunes not synching to iPhone 4S - anyone else having this problem?

I can download apps in iTunes, and I can download them on my phone, but I can't get them to sync between iTunes and my phone. This seems to be a recent issue, it was working OK last week.

I'm also having the same issue on my iPhone 4S. I wasn't having any issues since the release date until I upgraded to iOS 5.0.1.
I'll receive text messages hours later than sent. Sometimes I'll get two or even three copies of identical text messages from my different contacts.

So you had music on the iPad that is not in iTunes and you no longer have the iPad. Is that what you are saying? If that is what you are saying, iTunes won't "recognize" anything that was on the iPad, that was not purchased from iTunes. If the music was purchased from iTunes, you should probably be able to download it again for free as long as you are using the same Apple ID that you bought it with. Did you try downloading the music again?
Am I understanding what it is that you want to do? If I am understanding you correctly, you will find this to be useful.

Is there a way to sync an iphone to a computer that has a new hard drive without losing all the songs, apps, contacts, etc? The computer has iTunes downloaded, but no device has ever been synched to it. Thanks for your quick response...we don't have a copy of the old computer...Hard drive died one morning, I now have learned the hard way that what we did was really dumb, and am backing everything up . We were told that if we synched it with a computer that didn't have a library yet it would be ok?
The procedures that I have been able to get online:
1. Go to Itunes library without phone connected
2. disable automatic synching for iphone
3. Connect iphone, back up
4. then synch

Unable to check all apps to synch manually in itunes

When I manually synch apps with my ipod touch a check does not always apear in the check box in itunes, but I will see the app pop onto the ipod 'screen' shown in itunes.
It gets confusing as to whether or not an app is going to be installed or removed.
Is there an explanation?
I have this problem only with my ipod touch, not ipad or iphone 4.

I had same problem with my 3g. It was caused by 2 different iTunes accounts. If you have 2 accts, (on your computer) sign out of your active acct and sign on again with the other acct and then try synch.

Purchased new apps on ipad. Purchases did not synch with iphone 4. Purchases are listed in my itunes account and on my ipad, however, they are mot listed as purchased on iphone 4s. this is a new problem. I did not have any probelms in the past wit apps synching with iphone 4.

It does, but I use the SoundNote App because it records audio and allows me to draw diagrams in the document. Any thoughts on syncing the SoundNote files to the mini? I am sure it can be done with a wire, but I have a disability which makes it difficult to plug and unplug cords, so the more I can do wirelessly or through the Cloud the better. Thanks for your help! Need Help Badly - still unable to make iTunes synch apps with iPad

iTunes 10.1.2, MSWindows. iPad WiFi/3G 64Gb. Cannot get all apps on iTunes to transfer to iPad so cannot restore an app I had to delete on iPad. Number of apps on iTunes doesn't match in quantity. Also, specific apps that are deleted from iPad still show up in iTunes. I download to the iPad from AppStore and then synch them to iTunes. Have read ALL tech bulletins, searched this site, searched other sites, etc. Rest of synching appears to work fine. has been going on for over a month. Similar threads on this site don't appear to have solutions either.
Have tried to drag specific app icon in iTunes to Device iPad, no luck, has circle with slash. I do NOT use automatic synching so the iTunes deleting critical files issue during synch doesn't wipe the iPad. I synch manually by Device iPad right-clicking and synch. Transfer purchases says it works but the new purchases on the iPad don't show up in iTunes. I tried resetting synch history in preferences but synching again didn't act any different. In fact, that first synch didn't act like the warning said it would (will act as if synching for first time).
I am completely at a loss. I love the iPad but it is now physically impossible to keep it synchronized with iTunes.

I am going to be no help, except to say that I have similar issues. iTunes shows apps as loaded on my iPad but those apps are not on the iPad. Problem seems to involve a random selection of apps. I've synched, reset, and tried several ways to delete and reinstall but can't figure out a solution.. Strangely the same missing apps are working fine on my iPhone 4!
I had some trouble with videos not working, which has happened twice, but an iOS restore resolved that issue. I only add that in case the issues are related.
