Synch'ing Gmail Calendar

I'm having major issues with this one.
I have a Tour and I'm on Verizon.
It will synch the events to my handheld from my desktop, but it won't synch the events I put on my handheld to my desktop.
Help!
I did a search on here and came up with nothing that helps.

Start the google sync app. Hit the BlackBerry (Menu) key.
Select Options
Scroll down to "Sync These Calendars." Highlight the Google calendar underneath "Sync These Calendars" that you would like your Blackberry to update. Click on it.
Under "Add new handheld events to" there will be a pull-down menu consisting of all your Google calendars as well as an option "none"
Make sure none is NOT selected. Instead, make sure to select the google calendar you'd like new handheld events to be added to.
Be sure to hit escape, saving any changes, until you are back to your calendar. You may sync now if you wish.

Synch'ing calendar between Outlook 07 and BB DTM 4.3 crashes DTM

Following problems with BB DTM not even running, clean install of BB DTM 4.3.025 now suffering repeated crashes when synch'ing the calendar between Outlook 07 (fully patched Vista) and my BB 8100... DTM dialog says "processing device calendar" when it crashes. Tried all manner of variation - limited date ranges, all dates synch, one-way synch, two-way synch,... crashes when dialog says "processing device calendar".
Anyone any clues?

I would enable advanced logging and see if you can nail down where the issue exactly is happening.

Try going into Backup/Restore - backup the device.
Go into Advanced and your device databases are listed on the right, highlight calendar and choose clear. It will wipe your calendar.
on the right hand window you should see the backup file you just created, highlight calendar and click on the arrow pushing it to the right window and back onto your handheld.

Need help synching my Droid X2 Calendar to Gmail Calendar

Hi. I'm having problems synching my Droid X2 calendar to my Gmail Calendar. I am able to add appointments on my gmail calendar and they show up on my Droid Calendar. BUT I can not get appointments entered (or existing) from my Droid Calendar to my gmail calendar. In my phone's calendar settings I can not make my Phone Calendar show as synch and visible (it'll go not synch/visible or not synch/not visible, BUT will not show synch). I really want to be able to see all my appointments from my gmail calendar. Anyone know how to fix this?

When you view event details on the phone, it will list "phone" or your Gmail address as the calendar. They can also have a different color assigned to it.
When you create the event, the calendar selection option is usually at the very top of the create event dialog.
Once you create the event, you can't change the calendar where it is saved.

Synch-ing calendar & BBerry

I've only had my Blackberry for 2 weeks, and even though I enjoy it, I'm frustrated that when I'm synch-ing my blackberry's calendar with Outlook in my computer, everything earlier than a month is deleted on my calendar. What I do to prevent with dynch-ing that parts of my "older" calendar is deleted? Please help! Thanx. De la Harpe

Gmail calendar and control. On PlayBook os2

Is there any way to sync my Gmail contacts and calendar with os2 without using my phone?

Yes there is, just add the Gmail calendar as a CalDav account and then you will be able to synch your gmail account.
1) Go to Accounts and press Add New Account
2) Select "Email, Calendar and Contacts"
3) Select Advanced Setup
4) Select CalDav
5) Type in your personal information. Username and Email should be the same
Server address is https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[[email protected]]/events
Press save and thats it.

I just opened Firefox for the first time in a couple of weeks and am experiencing the same problem. I see my Gmail inbox briefly before being redirected to the calendar. Clicking the back button produces the same result.

How do I add my gmail calendar to the default calendars list for reminders?

When I right click on a time/date in my mac mail message to add it to a calendar, it defaults to my home calendar. As best as I can tell this is determined by the option for setting your default calendar for reminders in the preferences for iCal. In my preferences for iCal I can set my main calendar preference to my gmail calendar, but I can not set the default calendar for reminders to my gmail calendar. My gmail account shows up as grayed out and doesn't show any of my gmail calendars as options. Is it possible to set reminders to my gmail calendar? How? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,
Google Calendars do not sync Reminders (what Google call Tasks) via CalDAV. That is why you cannot set up the default iCal Reminders list to the Google options.

I am trying to find out how to sync my outlook calendar, which is my default calendar, with my gmail calendar so that I can share it with my wife so she knows when I am going to be out of town for work.

My primary calendar that I use on my iPhone 5 is my outlook calendar. In the past, on other phones, I would sync this with my gmail calendar so that I could share it with my wife so that she would know when I am out of town for work. Any suggestions for doing this or is there a better method to accomplish the same thing?

You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

Gmail calendar sync is available why not hotmail calendar

Why s that you can sync to a gmail calendar but not to a hotmail account calendar.

Hotmail calendar sync is here! Microsoft recently added Exchange ActiveSync support to Hotmail accounts, giving full bi-directional sync of mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks.
To set this up, edit/create your Hotmail account using Manual Setup and set type as Exchange (EAS). Then use the following settings:
Server: m.hotmail.com
Domain: leave blank
Username and password is your email address and password.

How can i delete shared gmail calendars on my Mac's calendar?

My company's email, calendar, etc is set up with the Google Apps. I created a Gmail account in my Mac (Running Yosemite) so I could sync the Calendar.
In the Gmail calendar, you can view calendars from teammates additional to your own to make life easier when setting up meetings, etc. Every time I add a teammate's calendar in Gmail, that new calendar is also synced in my Mac. Initially it was pretty cool, but what has happened now is that even though I delete the additional calendars in Gmail, these deletions are not replicated to my Mac, so I'm having to handle about 10 calendars and every time these other people receive invitations I have them on my Mac. The most I can do is "unselect" them in my Mac calendar but eventually somehow they get activated or "selected" again. Below a picture of what I see in my Mac.
How can I delete these calendars on my Mac?

Welcome to the Apple communities.
I'm not all that sure that I fully understand your question. However if you are trying to delete the groups on the left-hand side of your address book, then simply click on them once to highlight them and use the delete key on your keyboard to delete them.
Any contacts within those groups will stay in your main account and will not be deleted along with the group heading.

I use tripit on both my iphone and ipad. However, while tripit will sync with the gmail calendar on my iphone, it will not sync with the gmail calendar on my ipad, even though the setting are all in place, correctly for both.

I use the "Tripit" travel app on both my iPhone and iPad2. While I have no problem getting my Tripit info synced to the Gmail Calendar on my iPhone, I am unable to get Tripit to sync to the Gmail calendar on my iPad, even though the setup information (email address, settings, etc.) are exactly the same. I know that Tripit is installed correctly on the iPad, as I am able to go to that app directly and correctly see all of my info. However, even though I've set up the secondary "Tripit" calendar feed (to Gamil) on the iPad, it's not synchronizing and showing up. Is anyone else having this problem?

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

I would like to see my gmail calendars on iCloud - how do I set this up?

I have successfully "shared" my gmail calendars on my iPod touch -- but I can't seem to figure out how to see them on my iCloud.
Is there a way to do this?

I was able to share the calendars (between gmail and ical) on:
1. my iPod touch (via method above)
2. my mac (via method above)
Thanks to Old Toad for showing that (I had already used it, but good for others to see here.)
BUT, as Julian points out, it doesn't push gmail calendars to the iCloud.
I was hoping to be able to use iCloud for all of my calendars, the way I used to do with MobileMe...
Does anyone have any other tips to push the calendar?
*** By the way, I first started using gmail calendars (and gmail itself) due to a series of mishaps by Apple, where I lost all of my contacts / addresses / calendars. I was backing up, but the backups didn't work. It was a software glitch that I could see (on forums) was happening to a lot of people. It was traumatic. Henceforth, I began keeping a gmail account and copying all the contact info (and calendars) there.

ICloud is no longer syncing my calendar. I keep the gmail calendar at home on my laptop and at work on my desktop, but my phone isn't making the changes! It used to and I haven't changed anything! Help?
