SYNCH message type use?

Hi All,
I configured the ALE settings to send material from client 250 to 214 on the same ECC system. i configured all the steps correctly. But the scenario wouldnt work until I added a SYNCH message type in the partner profile of the 214 client. But i have done scenarios in which the config worked even without the synch interface. Why does this happen? What is the purpose of this SYNCH interface?

Hi,
Inorder to provide successful distribution of a model to the concerned systems, SYNCH Message type has to be maintained. If this message type is not maintained the distribution is not successful and the system throws a error "RFC destination  for synchronous communication, Partner Profile XXXXXX, SYNCH doesnot exist".
To overcome this you would be asked to Generate Outbound partner profile for message type SYNCH.

  • Fault message type using in File to IDoc Scenario

    Hi,
I have successfully configured File to IDoc scenario. Now I am thinking to add some flavour to it by using Fault message type.
Can I use fault message type without using any proxies?
Can some body help in giving an answer to my question and provide some weblogs to achieve the configuration?
    Thanks in advance.
    Suraj Kumar

    Hi Suraj,
With IDOCs, you cannot set up fault messages as it is async mode communication. There is not control which waits for the processing of the message/application errors as you have it in case of synch mode.
But, you can set up acknowledgement using ALEAUD. Check this for more /people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/01/20/configuration-tips-for-a-business-serviceintegration-process-to-send-back-ale-audit-idoc

If not how else can i capture the response in the EO mode?

    Hi Sivasakthi
Yes you can capture soap response using SOAP fault message
Check this link for embedded soap response

  • IDOC message type use for standard price ALE

    Hi,
Does anyone know what is the best way to send material master standard price data from one SAP box to another SAP box?
ex. SAP box A will send standard price data to SAP box B, and the way to update the standard price data in SAP box B, can be done with what method?
I am thinking to use ALE, to send stanard price data and then trigger a MR21 transaction is the receiving box to update price. Does anyone know what IDOC message type I should use to transfer standard price data?  thx.

    Hi
I think the IDOC type will MATMAS01.

  • Idoc types & message  types

hi friends,  please can  somebody  post  different  kinds of Idoc types  and  message  types  used in sd , from   sd's  point of  view. and  also  explain  giving  examples  if you could. thanks
points will be awarded    for  sure .  thanks
    seema  roy

    Dear Seema,
concerning EDI concept in SD: the EDI concept is intended to realize the sales and distribution process completely automatically with the help of electronical documents. These documents are sent from one customer to another, are processed mostly on the background and give a possibility to realize the sales process extremely efficiently.
If MM-customer would like to purchase the goods then he creates the IDOC of type ORDERS and send it to SD-customer. On the SD-side the IDOC is processed via the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS and creates the sales order. As confirmation the SD-side can send to MM-side the Order-Response IDOC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS). The MM-customer can every thime send a change to the existiong order, then on SD side the ORDCHG IDOC will be processed. It can change the order like in VA02. The creation of the invoice can be made via IDOC of message type INVOIC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC).
So, the process can be realized completely automatically between SD and MM partners with the help of IDOCs: ORDERS, ORDCHG, ORDRSP, INVOIC.
    That's all concerning the SD-EDI.
Additional processes in SD, where EDI are used:
    1) application of delivery schedules to the scheduling agreement: IDOC of type DELINS
    2) creation of a delivery order to the scheduling agreement: IDOC of type DELORD
    3) creation of external agent service delivery to scheduling agreement: IDOC of type EDLNOT
    4) creation of credit advice / credit memo in the frames of self-billing: IDOCs of type GSVERF, SBWAP and for external invoice creation SBINV.
It is all processes which are realized in the SD module via EDI.
There is not so much Customizing for EDI. The most entries are required by EDI for the scheduling agreement processing (DELINS, EDLNOT, SBINV). The Customizing of these processes is located in the Customizing of scheduling agreements: SPRO => Sales and Distribution => Sales => Sales Documents => Scheduling agreements with delivery schedules => Control EDI Inbound processing.
General EDI Customizing in SD is available under: SPRO => Sales and Distribution => Electronic Data Interchange => EDI messages => ...
    I hope this info helps.

  • How to create a message type

    Hi, All
I need to create a message type, Enter the fields change pointers eligible for key changer in this message type. Extract program needs to be created and this program accesses the key changer field’s status and the changed values on day to day basis for the message type using tables BDCPS & BDCPV.
Can any one tell me how to do this.
    Many Thanks.

    Hello siri
I think if you talking with respect to ALE/IDOC or EDI/IDOC..........this posting has to be entered in data transfer.........................and you can create message type using trasaction we81.

  • Cript - Message type- Error in Printing

    Hi,
We have developed the custom srcipt for the PO printing and configured it NACE.
Now we are facing strange porblem that when we creat message type using this output type then it works for one PO and does not work with the other PO. The status is shown in yellow. Please let me know what could be the reason.
    Regards,
    Shweta.

SAP Standard Scripts ( how to Modify Standard Scripts)
Go to transaction OMFE. Tell me what you see there for the output type you are interested in. Let me take the standard output type NEU. The entry looks something like this.
    NEU Purchase order 1 SAPFM06P ENTRY_NEU MEDRUCK.
The first one is your output type, next is its description, next is the medium, then the program, routine, and the form name.
You already copied the layout MEDRUCK to ZMEDRUCK. Now copy SAPFM06P to ZZSAPFM06P. Now ENTRY_NEU routine is in the include FM06PE02. You need to make your changes here to accommodate for the new field. So copy this include to ZZFM06PE02 and make your changes. Also, in ZZSAPFM06P, change the line where it says INCLUDE FM06PE02 to INCLUDE ZZFM06PE02.
Now in this routine ENTRY_NEU, there is a function module call ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINTING which reads in the PO data from the tables. We need to copy this function module as well as this is where you will do your extra selections for the new fields. You will do the same with the other function call ME_PRINT_PO, if you need to change anything on the print.
after this to define output type...
    NACE
You can track the form and the print program used for that form
NACE is used to create output type while creating the output type you will mention forms, and driver program.
that will be maintained in the table TNAPR.if you create the output type using NACE then it will be automatically visible in table NAST and TNAPR.
so check in NAST, TNAPR table

    Condition records in NACE?
EX--in simple terms..take a transaction say ME21N ( Purchase Order ), u can see a Print icon there. now when u click on this icon, it has to print the PO document. Now how does it do that? when u click Print, the control gets transffered to a print program, now which program gets triggered is decided by what program name u specify in NACE.
So in NACE>EF>Output Type>NEU>processing routine--> u can see some standard program already configured( maybe SAPFM06P n form MEDRUCK )..these are the programs n sapscript that gets executed wen u say "PRINT" in the transactrion...so u can customise the print program for customer changes over here by copying the standard program n form into a Z/Y one and replacing the program names in NACE.

  • Message Type HRMD_A or HRMD_B or HRMD_ABA

    Hi,
We have a requirement to update HR Master Data into our SAP System from
an External System via Middleware (TIBCO in this case)
Our SAP System details are as follows: -
    ERP 6.00, HR 6.00, WebAS 701
By Updating Master Data into the system we mean: -
    1) Update existing PA and PD InfoType records
    2) Insert new PA and PD Infotype records
    3) Update data into Custom Infotypes / Custom fields in standard
    infotypes
I have read quite a few SAP Notes and Support Messages (Application Area
BC-BMT-OM-ALE and others) and even the Documentation in SALE
transaction, but I am not fully convinced which one to use for my
    requirement
Here's my observation on these message types: -
HRMD_A   > is quite exhaustive (has maximum number of infotypes) and SAP
recommends to use this for SAP HR to SAP HR distribution
HRMD_B   > Support Message 1082157_2005 says to use this for External
System Transfers which is what I need but has only a few PD infotypes
and nothing else (I would not like this either)
HRMD_ABA   > Contains limited number of PA and PD infotypes e.g. some
very basic infotypes like 0027 are not present. Also SAP recommends this
to use for SAP HR to SAP system without HR components such as CRM, EBP,
    etc.
But the Documentation in SALE appears speaks something different. It
    says
HRMD_B   > Distribution from SAP HR to an SAP Basis System. This is
quite different from what is mentioned in message 1082157_2005 which
says it can be used for legacy data transfer
So what would be the right message type for...
    A) Inbound HR Master Data / Org. Dataposting
    B) Outbound Master Data / Org. Data distribution from SAP
especially when a non-SAP system is involved
Please note that the Idoc must be flexible and support updates into any
PA-PD infotypes (through Idoc extensions and BADI/customer exit
implementations if needed which is fine with me)
    Thanking You in advance
    Regards,
    Aditya

    Hi,
The message types used for HR are:
HRMD_B: transfer data from legacy systems, non SAP system. (E.g. People Soft).
HRMD_A: transfer data between 2 HR systems.
HRMD_ABA: transfer data from an HR system to a #non-HR# system (CRM, SRM, etc..)
You should use message type HRMD_B to transfer data from HR system to external system (Northgate Arinso) but it has only a few PD infotypes and nothing else.
    Hope it helps,
    Regards
    Christine

  • Creating message type in XI with imported objects

    Hi,
I have imported an Idoc Structure into XI.
Now I need to create a message type with structure from imported Idoc + some additional fields.
Can some one tell me how to go about this. Because once I drag and drop the imported Idoc structure, I doesn't allow me to add any more fields during message type creation.
Is there a different to way to achieve this.
    Best Regards,
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,
the Integration Builder supports two ways of modelling an interface. The first way is to build the required datatypes from scratch (with the datatype editor) then define (fault) message types using these datatypes and finally define the message interface.
The second way is to use an externally defined structure by importing an IDoc or RFC from an R/3 or an external DTD/XSD/WSDL from filesystem. Then define your Message Interface using the messages from the imported objects.
Currently there is nearly no support for mixing these two approaches as you have in mind (taking an externally defined structure as starting point, then enhance this structure within the Integration Builder).
The best workaround I can suggest to you, is import the IDoc, take the XSD which is displayed for it, download it to your local file system, edit it there (with notepad when you are an XSD expert, with some other tool like XML Spy otherwise) and upload the modified file as External Definition.
BTW: For this procedure you do not necessarily need to upload the IDoc to the Repository. As far as I know the R/3 also offers the possibility to generate an XSD representation for an IDoc (do not remember the exact way to go there).
    Greetings Stephan

  • Problem in Message Type of Partner Profiles - IDOCS

    Hi everyone,
I have created two Partner Profile's in WE20 attaching the corresponding Message Type with them. I have transferred one Message Type from one Partner Profile to another. When I save the model in BD64 and Generate the Partner Profiles from there I see that ''SYNCH" message type also gets added in the target Profile.
Can you please suggest why it happens and how to rectify this problem so that "SYNCH" message type does not get added anymore.
    With warm regards,
    Sandeep Panja.

    Hi,
U can see SYNCH message type in all the partner profile.
The monitoring object is located in the same client A function module is called locally In this case no further Customizing settings are required
    ·        The monitoring object is located in the same physical system but in a different logical system (client):
In this case you have to assign an RFC destination with a dialog user to the message type SYNCH in the current client for the client to be monitored.

  • Modification of message type 519 in transaction ORFA

Message Number 519 says that there is an customizing inconsistency for Cost-of-Sales Accounting. Since cost-of-sales accounting is active but the functional areas is not set as an account assignment object. There is a need to keep cost-of-sales active and not maintain the functional area of our legal entity. In other words, this current scenario must be maintained.
The current scenario, however, prevents user from running depreciation by raising the message number 519 as the error. The type of this message needs to be modified from error to be just a warning. The message itself says that this can be done but the steps specified do not work:
    Use transaction ORFA->Transactions->Maintain Message Types
Use Message Class AAPO and add entry for message 519.
The error message 'Message Number 519 is not allowed' is raised.
How do we convert Message Number 519 from error to warning?

    Hi
    Have you activated operting concern?
If yes let us know in detail... to help you..
Also as this is subjective raising a message to SAP would provide you effective solution...
And changing the error to warning type is not advisable...
still if you want to go for it .. spot the call up point for the particular message in the respective program with the help of ur abap consultant and change it with the access key...

  • Dependent objects for Message Type

    Hi,
I have a message type which contains a lot of Data Types. It is a big structure. Now I have to see all Data Types used in this Message Type. How can I generate such a list?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
To get the List, you have to create a new Namespace, copy that Message Type using [Copy Object and check With All Dependend Objects] to this new Name space. Under data type, you'll get all the data types , just select all of them and copy (ctrl+c) and paste in excel.
    Thanks.
