  • IPad calendar fails to synch with Mac mini

How can I fix a recent failure of iPad calendar to synch with Mac mini?  iTunes no longer saks me about ocnflicts between the iPad and the computer.

While waiting, I found the fix in another thread:
Open iSync on main computer with iPad attached and turned on.
    Choose "Reset sync history".
That is all there is to it.  The "Sync" still did not recognize two events scheduled for the same time, one in one sub-calendar on the iPad, and in another one on the Mac Mini.  I wound up with two choir practices, one in blue and one in pink on both devices.  Should it have noticed these and asked me about them?
I also read elsewhere that it messes up the iPad to change an event from one calendar sub-heading to another.  I will avoid doing that in the future.

    Any suggestions?

  • Ical not synching with .mac account

We have our set up in our preferences to sync ical with our .mac account, so we can access it away from home. Everytime we log on to our account, it still show it hasn't ben synched, although when I go in the preferences, it shows the box checked so it should sync. Any suggestions? This is frustrating, because it is showing not synched in .mac account and synched on my computer....

iCal does get synced with the .Mac servers, but there is no webinterface available for calendars. However, you can sync your iCal between multiple Macs using that feature.
The only way to access your calender using any machine and the web is to publish your calender. See here for more details:

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
were the prom pictures on the iPhone 3 to begin with?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

  • How can I delete previously itunes synched photos from my ipad 3 now that I use the cloud instead of synching via mac/itunes?

how can I delete previously itunes synched photos from my ipad 3 now that I use the cloud instead of synching via mac/itunes?

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer, and on the Photos tab de-select those folders that you no longer want on the iPad - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad. If you no longer want any synced photos on your iPad then you can select and sync just an empty folder.

  • Hot Synch and Mac OS 10.4.11

My Palm m505 recently ran out of power... I plugged it ito the cradle for recharging..
I had to hit the 'reset' on the rear in order to get it up and going... but quicly found that my favourite application had "disappeared" and I returned it to the cradle and depressed tha Hot Synch button. A minute or so later I get a 'screen' indicating that my m505 was unable to communicate. I have tried to make sure that the handheld is secure in the cradle but keep getting the "unable to connect" screen.
I am kind of 'lost' without that application that has gone amiss... and would appreciate any and all positive suggestions to have it up and running again.

  • Not all photos appearing in ipad when synching from mac?

Not all my photos which I have synched from my MAC appear in the IPAD. Any ideas why?

Do you get any error message ? Have you tried deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-trying the photo sync to see if they then copy over ?  The location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

  • Using Touch to Synch 2 Macs?

Can the Touch be used to synch Mail, iCal, and Address Book between 2 separate macs? Are there any issues with doing this?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
You can use it to sync iCal and Address Book but not Mail. Accepting the limitation that new calendar events created on the +iPod touch+ can only be added to one calendar it works fine for me. I've found some contacts duplicate if they are changed significantly.

  • Synching between Macs, DirSync Pro, and permissions

I want to create a simple, manually activated one-way synch process to copy a number of folders and files from Mac A, and use these copies to update or replace the same folders and files in the same locations in the Finder structure on Mac B. Macs A and B are on the same Airport LAN and I am the only user on both Macs.
    1)  It looks like DirSync Pro may be a good open-source app to do this.  Any users who can give tips and advice on using it?
    2)  Should I install the sync app on Mac A and "push" the files and folders to Mac B, or install it on Mac B and "pull" these items over from Mac A?
    3)  What if any permissions settings do I have to modify or set to allow me to do this?
    Thanks for any tips.

Yes. You can use File Sharing between the two computers together with an appropriate backup/sync utility.

  • Synching 2 Macs via Time Machine?

How can I synchronize a users data files between 2 Macs with same OSX (10.5.5)?
For example, a users calendar data, address book, and Safari bookmarks with folder organization?

First, please update your profile - it says you are running Tiger.
TM is not for synching. MobileMe or some other 3rd party tools can do that.
TM has separate backup bundles for each machine and the permissions are very different on the enclosed data files.

  • Iphone not synching with mac

My iphone will not synch with my MAC.  This just started.  Iphoto says my phones name in the left nav bar then shows that no photos are available to upload. I have taken newer photos so this is not the case.  The first time I tried it said something was locked.  I went through all of my settings on my iphone5 and nothing seems to be locked.  I rebooted my MAC as that was suggested by someone and that did not work.

I am having the same problem. When I send from my iPhone (old version), the messages are not shown in my send folder on my desktop Mac. They are showing up in MobileMe, however. I have checked settings on my Mac and on the phone and still can't figure out what has happened. This all started with the new syncing system.
