Synch photos iPhone

My photos on iPhone are not synching with iPad

Only photos that are taken after you enable Photo Stream on both devices will be sent to each respective device. In other words, photos that were already on one of the devices will not sync to the photos stream after you enable it in the settings, but any photos that you take moving forward will sync.
Having said that, check the settings on both devices and be sure Photo Stream is turned on. Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream>On or Settings>Photos and Camera>My Photo Stream>On.
You must be signed into the same Apple ID on all devices in order for the photos to sync as well. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID.

  • Synching Photos to iPhone 4 w/iTunes 10.2.1.1 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine

iTunes does not synch photos if they are not on the primary disk drive. I have all my photos on a separate hard drive on my Dell to free up space on my primary drive, but iTunes would always hang up when it came to the synching photos step when I tried to put photos on my iPhone. The synching bar kept indicating that it was doing something, and the status message was "moving photos." But two hours later I finally quit synch and found that everything synched as it should except not a single photo transferred. Moving copies of the photos I wanted on my iPhone to my primary drive's "My Pictures" directory solved this, but now I have unwanted duplicates on my system. Does anyone have a similar problem that they've solved in a more elegant way?

  • IPhone 3G isn't synching photos

I set up a folder to synch photos with my 3G iPhone (the same way I did with my old iPhone) but when I check the folder to synch it just sits there forever telling me it is synching but never does. I tried only putting one photo in the folder (JPG) and that didn't change anything. As soon as I uncheck the photos from synching it works fine. Anybody else seeing this?

If no change after re-installing iTunes, try removing and re-installing the Apple Mobile Device Service.

I successfully synched photos from my mac book iphoto to my new iphone 5 (icloud did not do the job).  Now these photos appear on my phone in three places--iphoto app, last import, and photo library.  Does that mean that they take up three times the memory?  Will that affect iCloud?  Sorry for the end-user questions!!

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out  by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

  • How do I import photos to iTunes, to synch with iPhone?

The manual for my new iPhone says I can synch photos via iTunes with the phone. But I can't figure out how to get photos into iTunes to start.

    Hi cafox513,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  Two applications you can sync photos from (through iTunes) are iPhoto and Aperture.  This article has some more information:

  • Apple iPhone tech support says, "Synching photos not supported."

I just got off a marathon (>1 hour) call with tech support on several issues regarding photos not synching and synched photos being corrupted on the iPhone (see here and here). At various times during the call (with several levels of tech support) I was told that:
    1. Photos must be modified using Adobe Albums for them to synch properly.
    2. Photos that don't synch properly must not have been created correctly.
    3. There must be something wrong with the camera that created the photos.
    4. The resolution for the photos must be incorrect.
    5. The Windows operating system must have something to do with it.
There were some others thrown in there, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. It was a rather frustrating call, perhaps made moreso by the fact that this was my first interaction with Apple tech support and I had high hopes of something other than the lackluster tech support I receive from most other tech companies out there.
In any case, the outcome of the call was that I was unable to open a trouble ticket. I tried insisting that this was either an iTunes defect or an iPhone one, but Apple disagreed saying--and this is a quote--"Apple makes no guarantee that you will be able to view your photos on your iPhone."
    Meh. :-/

Very nice, PTBoater! That did indeed seem to work for both the problem of photos not synching and the problem of synched photos being corrupted. I wonder why I haven't seen this suggested before? In any case, if you'd like to head over to http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1034293&tstart=0 and http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1017827&tstart=0 with the answer I will mark you as the answerer so you can get the answer points.

iPhone 4S updated to IOS 7.0.6 and now my Photo Stream doesn't synch photos to my Camera Roll - how do I fix this?

seems like your phone isn't activated properly. try doing a hard reset (hold power+home until phone restarts).
if you have a CDMA carrier, this might not fix it for you. call the carrier and ask them to reset the activation.

  • IPhone Cannot Synch Photos from iPhoto

    Hello,
I have my iPhoto (and iTunes) library on an external harddrive that I connect wirelessly to thru my new airport extreme. I use my MacBook Pro to synch my iPhone. My iTunes videos and music synch great, but when I select the photo albums I want to load onto the phone, iTunes "thinks" for about 45 seconds, and then gives me the warning,
"The iPhone 'Ryan's iPhone' cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
Is this a problem with the iPhone? I have loaded photos in the same way from my MacBook onto my iPod and it worked fine... Is this due to the fact that I am connecting to my photo library via a wireless connection?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
    Ryan H.

I am synching photos from Aperture. The photos are on an external hard drive but it is connected to my computer (G5) via firewire not wireless. iPhoto worked as well but most of my photos are accessible via Aperture.

there are a number of scenarios to do it.
The general idea was covered here:

Make sure you have a full backup of your iPhone before recyncing with the iMac as during this process all data will be wiped out from your iPhone.
Going forward you may want to check icloud which makes life easier.

  • HT4972 I replaced the computer I originally used to synch my iPhone. I get the message stating that my content will be erased, even though this is the computer I now synch with. Is there a way to make the update recognize the new computer?

I replaced the computer I originally used to synch my iPhone. When trying to update to iOS5.0, I get the message stating that my content will be erased, even though this is the computer I now synch my phone with. Is there a way to make the update recognize the new computer so that my content will be kept?

The best option is to copy your entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one using one of the methods described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527.  This will allow iTunes on your new computer to recognize and sync with your phone without deleting content.  You will also need to copy over any other synced data not in your iTunes library such as photos synced to your phone, calendars and contacts.
If you can't do this, these articles will help you start syncing with your new computer with minimal or no data loss:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

  • Can't synch photos to my Mac

I haven't connected my iPhone 4S to my Mac 10.7.3 to synch for about 1.5 months and I'm now trying to synch and it seems to be synching everything but my photos. I've closed iTunes and iPhoto and reopened them and synched again and it will not synch photos even when I press Synch on the Photos tab. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Having other post photos to a shared PhotoStream is currently only available on IOS 7 and the PC - I woudll expect a Mac iPhoto release that supprotes it soon (just a guess)
What software versions do I need to be able view and share videos, and contribute to other people's shared streams?
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7.0 or later
PC with Windows 7 or later and the iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later
AppleTV (second generation) with Apple TV Software Update 6.0 or later
If the owner of the shared stream has turned on the Public Website option and shares the link with you, you will be able to view videos and see photos and video added by all contributors from any up-to-date browser.

  • Did I synch my iPhone to my PC?

I tried to synch my iPhone to my PC using iTunes. I got a bar showing it was loading in 4 steps but how do I confirm everything was loaded? Were my 6,000 photos successfully loaded or must I load these separately? How can I find my photos on my PC? They seem to have disappeared. I fear all data will get stuck in limbo.

  • HT1766 access synched photos on my computer

can i access synched photos on my computer? Where are they located?

According to the heading, you came here from a page about backing up and restoring, but you asked a question about syncing. Which did you mean?
If you are asking about iTunes photo syncing, that is one-way from the computer to the iPhone/iPad. You would access the photos wherever they resided on your computer before the sync.
If you are asking about photos inside iTunes backup files of your iPhone, they are not intended to be accessed outside the context of restoring your iPhone.
If you are talking about photos taken on your iPhone that you want to access on the computer, you would transfer them from the iPhone to the computer with a suitable photo transfer program. On a Mac, that would be Image Capture (to get them into a folder) or iPhoto (to get them into your iPhoto library).
