Synching issues library with iPhone 4

Hi I have an iPhone 4. I had some books in the library so I deleted them and re-synched the iPhone and restarted it and the books are no longer showing in the library but I can't get rid of them from the iPhone? Any ideas about this? Thanks. Steve.

-In the Sync menu, choose the Books tab.
-Check the box next to "Sync Books" then select the bubble next to "Selected books."
-Don't check any books, or uncheck any books you already have selected, so that it says "0 Books" next to the "Sync Books" checkbox.
-If that all looks good, hit Apply and let it sync.
That should replace the book library with a blank one. Once that's done, just uncheck "Sync Books" and Apply. Or if you have certain books you still want to sync, recheck them and Apply.

Problem synching iPhoto library with iPhone

I was using OS X Lion synching my iPhoto library with my iPhone 3GS with IOS 4 and everything was working perfect.
When I updated to IOS 5 start the problem, because doesn't sync all the photos. It's leaving around 100 photos without synchronization.
At the end of any sync process (regardless if I do it through wifi or USB) show a message saying that was unable to sync certain number of photos.
Any sugestions?

Have you tried deleting some data off...may be some music/videos (as long as you have them backed up elsewhere)? I'd try clearing off a couple of GB & then try syncing the photos again. I had the same issue a while ago...it said that not everything could be synced...I was fairly low on HD space but not near zero etc.

Problem Synching Iphone 4S to MacBook Pro. Also can't synch Itunes Library to iPhone.

I have a problem Syncing my iPhone 4S to my MacBook Pro......when I click sync iPhone nothing happens. When it's plugged in it asks me if I want to upoad photos from my phone to my MacBook Pro, so it does recoginise that my iphone is connected. Other than that there is no recognition ie on Finder that the phone is attached.
Nor can I sync iTunes Library to iPhone. I have however successfully synced the iTunes library to my Ipod, so it seems to be an issue my iPhone?
Any suggestions , help greatly appreciated

You'll have to purchase 3rd party software if you want to extract them directly from the phone. That or e-mail them to yourself, or set up a new shared photo stream and put the photos you want in that.
The phone is not a backup device. Since the photos came from your computer to begin with, you should have a backup of them in your backup of the computer.
You may want to seriously think about investing in an internal hard drive and turning on Time Machine.

I have a new IPAD4 which has synced pictures i selected but not music or films i selected from itunes library? I have had an account for years and never had issues syncing with iphone or ipod? when i attempt ipad the data shows and it cycles but nothing?

show the data shows whe i selet for sync (i have ticked sync only ticked icon) and selected two playlists - the data usage shows an extra 3.2 gb off my 32g ipad and the movies show up purple on the data usage bar, i press apply / sync it takes 20mins to go through 5 stages - never once do i see a song title or number in the update display. then when it finishes the data usage bar goes back to the lower amount before i tried to add the music and movies to my ipad?? The only thing that i have managed to move if pictures??

when i go through the summary section it says i have selected 757 songs (off two playlists) and i movie (from a digital copy via itunes), they show in usage bar b4 sync but then after sync nothing! i have tried both wi fi sync and normal, i have the lastest updates and CANT FIGURE THIS OUT
When i set up the ipad out the box the other day it asked whether i wanted a NEW INSTALL or RESTORE FROM ICLOUD BACKUP (presumbly off iphone), I choose restore, it then downloaded all the apps and web history/bookmarks etc, although it took about 8 hours to do it which i thought was odd?!
Ive spent £500 on this and if i cant put my msuc or movies on it that makes it a very exspensive web browser, APPLE this should be easier .......! please help - im no techno noob beither grand master, just your average user so im sure people might know what to do... i freakin hope so!

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

Sharing an Itunes library with Iphones...

My wife and I each have our own laptops that our iPhones sync to. Our music is on a separate Mac on the same network. Is there anyway to share the one library so that it can be used on both laptops and sync with both iPhones without making multiple copies of the music library?

Wifi Issue's with iPhone 5

Im having a problem with my wi-fi on my iPhone 5. It says im connected to wi-fi but the little wi-fi logo at the top of my phone doesnt show up. How can I get it to work again? Should I restore my phone or is there something I can do? Thanks for the help.

Synching google calendar with iphone?

After recently getting our new iphone 5ses, my husband and I realized that the google calendars on our phones are no longer in sync/updating to the main google calendar.
As of 2 weeks ago (on the 4s), the phones had both been successfully synching with our main google calendar-- therefore when we each made individual updates to the google calendar on our phones, they would instantly update in 3 places: the main google calendar, his phone, and my phone.
Since we each got a 5s, this sync is no longer happening (i.e. I put an event on my google calendar on my phone, and it doesn't sync to anywhere; it's only on my phone where I inputted the event. Similarly, I put an event into the google calendar from the desktop, and it doesn't sync out to the phones.). We've updated to the latest iOS, we've uninstalled and tried to reinstall the google calendar multiple times through settings (both through "add account" -->google AND tried "other," "add CalDAV account") to no avail. Any tips would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Can't synch my itunes with iphone

Hello, I have plugged in my iphone and itune opens up, recongises my iphone but says it's synchhing, but none of my music can be found on the iphone. What ma I doing wrong?
NB: Before iphone I did run my ipod and have signed in to itunes with my ipod account, if that makes sense.

Best way to control/play shared library with iPhone

Hi there,
My iTunes library syncs with my ATV and I have set up my wife's iPhone (I don't have one yet but will get a Touch once they up the storage) to act as a remote with the Remote app.
What's the best way to set up/share my wife's music library on the ATV? I know I can set up her library on the ATV and access through 'Shared Music', but it looks as though the Remote app on the iPhone can't search, scroll, display her playlists etc in the same way that it does for the 'main' library that the ATV has stored locally.
Is the best way to have the iPhone Remote set to control the iTunes library (rather than the ATV) and have iTunes on the Mac set to Apple TV for the speakers?
I'd prefer to be able to keep all the adjustments to within just the iPhone Remote rather than give my wife a list of instructions across a number of devices (I know I'll get a call in the middle of the night when I'm overseas from my wife asking me why the iMac isn't play her music :))

True, if you look at it as the only source of content, I was looking at it from a typical set up scenario, you seem to have two itunes libraries and an tv, so you could have different music in three rooms using your iphone as a central control, I have more sources than rooms so a sonos wouldn't do anymore than my present set up can do. If one is starting from scratch the sonos seems quite attractive, however for me it would require an investment of round about $ 5,000 to achieve something I more or less already have

You have two choices.
First: Plug in your iPhone, go on iTunes, then Info, and change the "Contacts" "Calendar" "Mailbox" to Microsoft Outlook and apply. Then go on Outlook to ensure all data is synced.
Second: You can set up an IMAP account service. There are many free IMAP account services out there. The popular one is Google but you can also do iCloud which comes with the Apple iPhone service as well.

Classic synching issues after adding iphone

Hopefully someone can help. I have been running two 160G ipod classics off my itunes. I got an 8G iphone as an upgrade and successfully synced it. To make the most of its small memory i changed all my music files from appleloss to 256kps. I tried to sync my classic but it came up with the message "Attempting to copy to disk failed. The disk could not be read or written from".
I then was able to successfully sync my iphone again but on trying to sync my fiancee's classic it came up with the same error message as my classic.
I was advised to uninstall and reinstall itunes which i have done to no avail. Strangely the classics syncing is failing after less and less time. it started off transfering 5G and is now down to 2G. I have since been apple to sync the iphone a number of times but has now decided to stop working completely and only displays the apple logo untill the battery runs out.
Please can anyone help?

In addition to removing iTunes, try removing "Apple Mobile Device Services" and Quicktime. You might want to download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer file to make sure yours is not corrupted, then install iTunes again (which will also install AMDS and Quicktime).

Synching Mac iTunes with iPhone 5

Just bought a song from ITunes and downloaded it onto a Mac but it refuses to sync with the iPhone. This is a new Mac and I had no problems with the previous one.

He's a bit hacked off that Snow Leopard now costs £80.
Call Apple Sales. They sell it for close to or below the original price (some say it is even $US 20 now).

Cannot sync library with iphone

I just upgraded my iphone and itunes to latest sw versions. However I cannot sync my music to my iphone. I see everything in my itunes library, but cannot figure out how to sync to my iphone.

Synching Issues with iphone 4/ itunes

When attempting to synch my iphone with itunes, the synch cannot progress past the "backing up" stage. Why?? Getting a bit frustrated now to be honest.
Every time I plug my phone into the computer, itunes informs me of the latest update required (4.3.5), but because of the synching issue, I obviously can't get the new update.

The above is the error message I receive when trying to upgrade/ synch my iPhone with iTunes on my Laptop. I have the latest version of iTunes available (10.4.1)
